Chicken Vindaloo, Vegetable Korma, Peas Pulao
    Jeff I.

Great service and the food wasn't bad as other reviewers noted. We ordered vindaloo and korma and neither were overly salty, although the korma was less creamy than I've had elsewhere. Peas pulao were delicious, and the garlic naan was flavorful and well cooked.

Came here on a Monday night to have dinner. I'll be completely honest, I haven't had Indian food in over 20 years because of a bad experience years ago. I was absolutely surprised with how amazing every dish we had turned out. The service was very friendly, and the ambience is cute. There's dim lighting all around, cute little booths, and Indian music playing in the background. We got the chicken tikka masala , the spinach dish with cheese, garlic, naan, and jasmine rice, as well as a rice with turmeric, raisins, toasted almonds that was SO good. We mixed and matched different things together, and everything tasted so delicious and different with every thing that we mixed it with.. I have a new found love for indian food. If you are ever in the area, come check this place out! They definitely know what they are doing in this kitchen! Yum!!

I came here with my friend as a recommendation from a local boutique. The inside is small but quaint and very cute. They had an amazing guitarist playing for ambiance and it was quiet and candle lit. The waitress was nice and very prompt. We ordered the pesto naan, which was delicious and the portion is huge. Definitely worth the pricing. I wish we tried maybe the sampler as they're known for their cheese naan. I ordered the lamb biryani. They have a 5 scale spice and I should have ordered down, which probably reflects my rating. It was too spicy and I went off the waitresses recommendation. The lamb, however, was perfect. Very delicate and soft and delicious. The rice was also soft and delicious with larger chunks of veggies, which I like. My friend had the butter chicken and the portion was huge. The chicken was also very soft and crumbly. There was a lot of sauce and when I mixed it with the biryani, it subdued the spice, which was nice. The sides for our naan came out after we almost finished it, which was disappointing. I would come again to try some other things and readjust my spice level!!

I'm going to preface this with the fact that I don't like to leave bad reviews. The food was good but $50 for two small bowls of sauce? The rice wasn't even included and I paid $4 on top of it. I know times are tough right now but come on.

According to our hotel, this was one of 4 restaurants open during Christmas. At first we went to try IHOP but there were only two waiters and it seemed quite impossible to get a table and then get our order. We called before we came and they said the wait time was zero which was nice. It still took around 30 minutes to receive our food after we ordered even though it shouldn't have been rush hour as we came late afternoon. - Garlic Naan - Disappointing as there wasn't a lot of garlic flavor on the naan that wasn't chewy on the inside. It seemed like they just mashed some garlic powder on top of it. - Onion Naan - Slightly better even though it really is just diced onions sitting between the naan. Again, the naan didn't have its classy chewy flavor. - Saag Paneer - I think overall, their entrees have a bit too much dairy/butter in it which makes it very heavy and filling even though the dish's portion sizes are quite small. The spinach flavor was pretty good although not very memorable and the paneer didn't have enough cheese flavor on it. - Chicken Tikka Masala - My favorite entree between the two as the curry was pretty good, and very rich with flavor. I will say that the tandoori chicken was quite dry as it was baked in the oven before. For two people we definitely brought home a lot of the food. The only other thing I will say is that the service was kind of questionable as when they were taking our plates away, the utensils kept dropping on our table. Also sometimes when they came over to our table, they would look very confused which is not always a good sign.

I stopped by on a Saturday afternoon. It's a large and nicely decorated restaurant. I immediately smelled the wonder fragrances of Indian cooking. The server sat me quickly and took my drink order. The buffet seemed like the good value for the day at $22. Many different veggie and meat dishes. Everything tasted fresh and nicely seasoned. Tandoori chicken and Chicken Makhni were great. The Sag spinach was creamy and delicious. Fresh garlic naan bread was hot and flavorful. I finished up with the Kheer which is a creamy rice pudding in coconut milk. Definitely worth visiting again!

$65 in takeout. Butter chicken, lamb boti masala, medium rice, garlic naan, mango lassi. Just enough for two people.

Lunch buffet is NOT as good as the evening dining experience. I wish they were open before 4pm to drop in simply for naan and a cocktail.

Here's my thoughts for today's visit. There is salt and pepper on the table! First time I found salt lacking and was happy to see it accessible on the table. The Indian coffee is bomb...and while Sugar in the Raw isn't available, there was honey today which was a nice touch and way better than refined sugar! Last time I was here I ordered the standard tikka masala, which I LOVE, but I noticed there was much less chicken than the first time I visited, and the prices had gone up. So, this time I opted for the Veg Korma, which I get every time, and the Dahl (lentils). The korma is lovely with chunks of potato, cauliflower, peas and carrots (feel like they are frozen, but good nonetheless). The sauce was spiced at spicy and was perfect. The Dahl was nicely spiced and just a really good vegetarian meal, not too heavy and plenty of leftovers. The butter naan was adequate. It was much denser than last visit and honestly lacked some flavor, but the garlic naan I've had before wasn't much different so I opted for the lower price point. All in all, it's hard to complain. The family does a really good job ensuring patrons are satisfied, which is key. The prices have increased about 25-30% since they opened and I feel like the portions shrank a tad, but considering I'm one person and I always order two entrees, I always have left overs. I'll state it again....great option if you're coming through Camp Verde/260. Something besides Mexican, lol. The family is lovely and I am a huge proponent for supporting small, local businesses!

Rice was extremely mushy and overcooked, almost like porridge, and tasted like water with herbs. For a $33 meal, I'm a little disappointed. I returned it but got the same thing. I must say Tikka masala was really really tasty. So they have some good food, just not Indian food.It was just the rice so I'm really happy i didn't order the biryani. Your place can absolutely not be known for good quality Indian food. See I don't like that it's hard for you to take constructive criticism, as I made sure to add things that I also liked. So I didn't make a bad review, I made an honest review that included the things that I liked, and the things that I didn't like. If I wanted to miss guide consumers about your business, then I would just say hateful things and not add any good opinions. I 100% recognize that you guys make really tasty drinks, even the tikka masala is pretty good, it's just not good Indian food., it's just food not good quality Indian food. As you can see in the picture below, I inserted a picture of what Indian rice typically looks like as far as consistency, texture, and taste, yours looks nothing close to it. Yours looks like oatmeal and tastes like water with herbs. And my meal, including an extra side of rice, and garlic naan came out to $33. Let me know if you wanted to insert a picture of my receipt. Indian food is typically on the expensive side, so the price is not the problem if you're going to charge such a high price then you should make sure that your food matches your prices because it doesn't. And you shouldn't call yourself an Indian restaurant if you don't cook, good quality, Indian food, especially something as basic as white rice. It should be perfect in my opinion. Yuck and don't ever tell somebody that they're exaggerating without trying to at least understand their point of view. Because you're loud and wrong. Will absolutely be sharing on TikTok.

The restaurant itself has a lot of character, it full of textures and colors, had a cute little fountain outside. It just feels homey and welcoming. The menu...is hella pricey for a tamale. I mean even with inflation these days I could get a tamale at most spots where I live for like half the price. I just told myself it's Sedona just except it lol so I went wild and got their extra special tamale with lots of topping to make it a more complete meal. I chose the chicken mole for my filling. I also got their dairy free horchata. First thing the horchata was delicious! Creamy, great texture, not to sweet, seasoned just right. Extra points for being dairy free as milk is not my bodies friend. The tamale however was a major let down. I was so close to just sending it back, but was on a time crunch and starving. The masa was so salty. The mole sauce was barely existent and had no complexity or flavor really. I didn't taste the chocolate or the Chile . Just blah. The toppings and horchata helped make it possible to consume despite the saltiness. So overpriced salty tamale gets 2 stars, ambiance 5, and horchata 5, which is why this place gets a three stars overall. I wanted to love this spot so bad, and maybe it was a bad day, or the wrong thing to get...but their name is literally tamaliza. Their tamale should have rocked my world.
