Tonight I ordered a large number 13. It was supposed to have 6 different kinds of meat. However, I was more or less dissapointed with what they served me. I really had to dig to get one slice of meat, and they "forgot" to put cilantro in my dish, which I had to ask for separately. The taste was okay, I just wish they gave me more to rate. Honestly, I think there would be no difference in ordering a small instead of a large; you would be getting the same amount of solids. As a pho fanboy, I would not recommend this place, check out pho 99 on lougheed and schoolhouse if you want something MILES better. As an intermediate pho eater, my opinion can be trusted, but not relied on. My wife, on the other hand, is an expert on pho. Having moved out this way, we were resolved to believe that we would be eating listless pho unless venturing into the city or making it at home. My wife tried Capital Pho and gave it a raving review. She said the broth was "really good and full of flavor" (she's a tough critic so this is raving). It doesn't seem to use much MSG as you're not quenching water like in some pho restaurants. We used to go across the street to Pho 99 for years. Problem was parking was aweful, specially on a Friday night or weekend. Most of the people who park in the lot actually go to the popular Korean BBQ house. Anyhow, we found this place and it's refreshing. Its much smaller than Pho 99 and the the food selection and quality is decent for this area. Probably abit better pricing and portion than the restaurant across the st. Both are kid/family friendly. We'll still probably go to Pho 99, but for now enjoying the change of scenary and selection. read more

Staff is friendly & adorable. Service is better than that of other Pho places I've been to, namely Pho 101. Best Pho I've ever had, and the place is clean too. Don't let its weird area deceive you (a cornered off strip mall, if you can even call it that.) My only issue is that they prepped some of their food in front of me. It's a little weird and makes it seem less appealing when you're watching someone roll the same salad rolls that you're eating right in front of you. Pho Capital, if you're reading this, stop that. I love how fresh pho is. I had the salad rolls and the basic pho, #1. It was all good. Excellent service and I was quickly served on a busy Friday night. Contrary to what one reviewer stated, they do have lime as well as all the regular garnishes. They may run out sometimes. The broth on the day I had it was ok but it tasted watered down. Compared to other reviews I think it depends when u hit the place. I love that it's open till 11, when most other restos have closed. Plus it's so nice to eat at a family run place. This is really one of the friendliest pho restaurants I've ever been to. I've had bad experiences with waiters asking for a tip after they've served me my pho with their fingers in my soup after openly blowing their nose. NO JOKE. Not this place though. I've been a member since 2009 and used the site to find great places and avoid the bad ones. And this place has inspired me to write my first review. I can't even tell you about the food since I didn't get any. The only thing I got to enjoy was a luke warm glass of water in a dirty cup. When the waitress came to take my order she had little grasp of the English language and proceeded to constantly ask me to repeat myself. So after a few attempt I resorted to pointing to the pictures and numbers. They didn't have a few of the drink items on their menu such as the fresh orange juice or the lemon soda. So 35 minutes went by and finally I had to ask the manager what was taking our food so long and she told me we didn't order and brought us menus again. So I left. I have been to so many great Vietnamese restaurants here in the lower mainland that try so hard and are incredibly polite but this place was seriously horrible. It's like they were upset at us for leaving. Anyway if you want Vietnamese food, don't come to Koreatown to get it. Stay clear of this place read more
