The most authentic pho restaurant in the Atlanta area! This little hole in the wall restaurant is definitely worth the drive for the most flavorful pho in town!! Rumor has it the later in the day you go, the more flavorful the broth is (I can vouch) since it takes hours for the soup to marinate. Along with the yummy pho noodles and broth, the cold sweet and sour vermicelli noodle bowl is delicious as well. The service is always fast and the food is relatively inexpensive, so this is my go-to Vietnamese place! read more

Overall good place to get Vietnamese food. The restaurant is much cleaner than most viet places so that's a plus. The food is traditional with a full range. Based on a pho house review in Peachtree that got a nay review, I took the trip down to Jonesboro from PTC and I have to say, I would probably do it again when I'm craving a good bowl of pho. Hands down THE best pho I've had in the area and man have I been searching. I somehow lost the photo I just took a couple days ago. Or maybe I didn't take a picture because I was so hungry I forgot. But man did I not forget how delicious this pho was. I got the combination and my friend got another pho without the tripe and tendon. Those are my favorites but then again I like all the yummy weird cuts of meat. It was so tasty and although it was a small after half an hour of eating and talking it didn't even look like I made a dent. It was just endless amounts of delectable flavors. I was up to the brim by the time I finished my bowl. I would have happily slipped into a peaceful food coma if I didn't have to drive. In Atlanta for the weekend and had to try a local pho restaurant. Located in College Park it seemed to be a fav in this area. We got there 40 mins before closing, but 10 mins before closing this place was packed with people sneaking in slipping into a booth for pho. The staff seemed very happy to accommodate. The chicken pho was okay. My husband had the beef, but wasn't impressed. My daughter had shrimp and thought it was okay. Overall "ok". Friendly staff and the atmosphere was again ok. read more

Excellent Christmas Day meal! We had 3 dishes- coconut chicken, a pho soup w beef and carrots, and a vermicelli dish w beef. Chicken was our least favorite but they were all good. I had been looking for a great restaurant for Vietnamese food so I use Yelp for all my dining out experiences so I put in for my location and Pho Dai Loi came up now I've passed this establishment many times and never paid attention to it but today I had a hankering for something different so I stopped in and I ordered #35 Tofu Vermicelli and shrimp spring rolls. When I tell you I was very satisfied with my food it was so delicious the staff is courteous constantly making sure tables are supplied they have gained a new customer and I will definitely be back to enjoy more! read more

After a crowd-packed day at the RV Show at the Expo Center, we fell into our car exhausted and hungry. A quick search revealed the Pho Da Lai a short drive up the road. On this chilly day in January, a bowl of steaming hot pho sounded ideal! The parking lot has two entrances, we spotted one open spot but access is a little tough so if one looks full don't be afraid to try the second. This could be problematic at peak hours. Don't be discouraged. Entering the restaurant, greeted with the long tables and lots of groups in the middle, and tables on the outside circling the room. We were quickly seated- while loud and a little distracting, was very impressed how fast food, service, and especially the bus of each table occurred. We saw although crowded for a late peak Saturday lunch rush, nobody was standing around waiting on a table for more than a minute or less. We were seated and menus left for order. Ice water brought out with lime already in it - welcomed for sure! Mix of customers from families, couples, groups, etc. Our waitress came out and took our order. I had seen a poster coming in for Hu Tieu and couldn't seem to locate on menu but she identified quickly and I was set having a choice between yellow noodles or clear noodles, choosing the clear. Special only came in medium and large, so medium was my choice. My companion chose the #7 small pho eye round, well done, flank, and tendon. We also ordered a basil roll shrimp (#3 on the menu) The appetizer and our plates of fresh herbs, sprouts, and add-ins came out so quickly. Maybe less than 5 minutes after our order. 2 large rolls served with a thick peanut sauce, the rice wrapper ensconced a variety of fresh green lettuce, rice noodle, shrimp, and herbs. Perfect starter for our starving bodies! Not long after I had devoured my basil roll, our soups were brought out- my companion had barely finished his roll. My medium bowl was very hot- don't try to move the bowl, it is HOT to touch. I could see already layered with a ton of ingredients - a few big slices of pork, fish balls, 2 quail eggs, and 2 large shrimp (I list the 2 shrimp bc on the chart in the lobby where I saw the special that was specifically listed) My broth was fragrant and aromatic. I immediately grabbed my spoon to taste and was met with a light, but not too salty tasting hot mix of flavor. That was a plus! I mixed up my bowl and brought forth a nice amount of clear noodles on the bottom. There were the requisite slices of onion but not too many. I only added sprouts, some of the Thai basil, and a little bit of Gochujang, or red chili paste, to my broth. Always taste before you add has been one of the biggest lessons. My companion's pho quickly came out right after mine. His broth was darker and the taste was amazing. Again not too salty and rich in a mix of flavor. I will admit I preferred mine, and he preferred his over mine so the gods of ordering did right by us. He also didn't have to add much either. On the table were two chili oil, sesame oil, gochujang, and sriracha sauces. I was amused by all the choice of sauces. I also had a small bowl of soy or ponzu, I tried it but my broth or his really didn't need it. I was pleased that a lot of extra doctoring didn't have to happen. The only drawback we had was with my companion's noodles. His noodles broke little too easily which could have been from sitting prepped however it didn't ruin anything. Just complicated eating with chopsticks. Silverware- knife and fork are brought out to you if needed but we didn't. We slurped and enjoyed both bowls. I admit I guiltily left some leftover bc it was so much food. We agreed next time we would probably skip appetizers and move right to main soup. Our water glasses were constantly refilled and we were checked in with as well. Excellent service. At the end you take your ticket stub up to the register and pay - cash and card accepted. Our total for 3 dishes - app, small bowl, and medium bowl - came to $24. Not bad for under $25 for two of us. The quality, service, and speed and accuracy pushed this to a 4 almost 5 star. I did take one star reluctantly off bc of the noodles. I imagine in a more top peak you won't see that bc dishes are moving so fast. But for pho aficionados out there, the noodles make a dish so want to be transparent in review. We will be back and count it among a return when we are in the Jonesboro area again. I give this place two stars only because the pho was warm (not HOT) warm. My favorite thing to eat in the world is pho and I have been to well over 25 different spots in the past 5 years. This spot is by far my least favorite experience . Upon arriving I was not greeted I was actually ignored . I had to walk up to the counter to get service and this is a sit down restaurant. I ordered the pho with flank and tripe and also the fresh rolls . The fresh rolls were not fresh and shrimp tasted like they had been cooked much prior as they were rubbery. The pho was less than appetizing and had very little flavor even with the traditional toppings , extra jalapeño and chili oil. I was served water after I got my food and appetizer and no one ever checked on me . When I was done one of the male workers came to my table and asked me rudely "what do you want ?" In terms of covid the staff all still have mask on and they even give all disposable utensils which is a major plus ! I will end this on a pleasant note by saying that they give you way more than enough food and the prices are reasonable. They unfortunately do not have vegetarian pho for people who are wondering (that is typically what I eat ) I take this as learned lesson . read more

This is a quiet place which is similar to the Asian restaurants on Buford highway. We ordered beef stew noodle soup, chicken noodle soup and Fresh steamed pork and shrimp spring rolls. This is the ideal place to eat a arm bowl of soup on a rainy day! The beef stew was spicy and almost curry like but with soup consistency. I wouldn't recommend it if you are not a big meat eater because it does come with a lot of meat and sweet carrots. If you like subtle flavors try the chicken noodle soup. The spring rolls lacked salt but were still refreshing. They always serve the soup bowls with bean sprouts, Thai basil and salad leaves which can be put on the soup to change the flavor and textures. Overall excellent budget friendly food with great service. I'll visit this place again! read more

Copletely overrated and EXPENSIVE! Went there after the Yelp's great review but sooo disappointed! So not worthy! First the ridiculous pricing....Sm Pho is $8.99, med $9.99 and $11.99 for large? When other places are charging $7+ for apprx med sized pho...what gives them the right to charge 30+% for a sub par Pho? Broth was overwhelmingly salty, and the brisket was like chewing on rubber. Overall, one of the worst Pho I've had.... don't repeat my experience, and go somewhere else. Or at least pay a whole lot less for such a sub par Pho! read more

On top of that it came with a soup. First, let me tackle the soup. Now I wouldn't go crazy as far as putting a soup on a pedestal. But this was one of the best soups I ever had. Flavorful, the taste was amazing like wow! My entree is down with #TeamPortions. Lot of food and everything was spectacular. I've had my share of fried rice before and it was different. Different in a good way! I loved it. The marianted beef that came with this plate was phenominal. Most beef is chewy. Pho Dai Loi's beef melts in your mouth sorta like the candy. After reading about this.highly rated, original location, I figured being a few miles away enabled me to come here for dinner last night. Knowing from others the portion sizes, I knew what to order. I had one order (two pieces) of the steamed spring rolls @ $3. Absolutely delicious with the hoisin and nut sauce. It was filled with shrimp, and possibly chicken and/or pork. I could make a meal of this!! My second order was the pho (@$7), which I came here for. I knew to order only a small bowl, and am glad I did. My order was a combo of two cuts of meat, brisket and round cut), which already has glass noodles and meat in the broth.. It was accompanied with thai basil, sprouts, and sliced jalapeno peppers. One adds pepper sauce (aka doctors it up) which one puts into the bowl of pho. Quanity was good, but the brisket was way too fatty to eat. While it is good to cook fatty meat to get the flavor, I do not wish to eat it. But, this is probably the accepted custom of vietnamese. So, I cut the fat off, and then enjoyed my bowl of meat/herb/noodle soup. While this meal was satisfying, and the service was courteous and prompt, I wouldn't venture here from more than a few miles, as therre are places like this all over town. In some Pho restaurant, the broth is very bland so I have to squeeze a tons of red and black sauce in there. But the broth at Pho Dai Loi is very flavorful, it is so delicious just by itself. I also like the broken rice dishes here. Everything they make taste just right, not too salty not too bland. I would have given them a 5 star, but being the only popular asian restaurant in Morrow I reallly had high hope that their bubble tea would taste decent. It was quite disappointed because the bubble was a bit hard and the avocados shake was too sweet. Pouring rain in Atl and all I wanted was some Pho. I didnt want to dine-in so I ordered the combination pho to-go and had to order the large for $10.99 since that was only sized offered on take out orders. Once I put together the soup at home, I was very satisfied. The soup was so good, big meat portions came with it and the broth was great. Just wish they gave me some Sarachi sauce too. This is my first time in Atlanta. As soon as I got off my plane, I was craving a delicious bowl of BBH and I found good reviews on this restaurant. Only a 15 minute drive from the ATL international airport, very spacious parking, large restaurant. Quick service! I ordered Bun Bo Hue. They provide all the herbal veggies you need to add to the noodles and have fish sauce, spicy sate sauce, shrimp paste and chili sauce to add to the noodles. The noodles are cooked perfectly, not too soft, not too hard. They have all the meats that the authentic BBH has. The soup tastes not too spicy and is delicious (though I can eat very spicy). This restaurant has good service, good ambience, and yummy and affordable food! I've gotten the bun thit nuong, bun bo hue, pho tai + bo vien + sach, goi cuon, and the drip coffee. Love the bun thit nuong because the meat, veggie, and noodle ratio is just right. Some places put too little vegs with too much noodle, but this place has it right. The meat is a little sweet for my taste, but when eaten with the vegs, it mellows out. The eggroll was good too! Bun bo hue has a lot of lemongrass and the broth is super flavorful! One of the better bun bo hue's that I've had. The pho is good.. and you can't go wrong with goi cuon. Drip coffee was also nice and strong. Having seen and heard about pho on the travel channel, etc. I've been eager to try it for awhile. A coworker said this was the best pho place in town so I met him for lunch during the week. If you work at the airport this location is great--otherwise the location on Buford Hwy is probably more convenient for most Atlantans. Restaurant is a good size, clean and comfortable. Staff is fast and friendly. My friend recommended a pho and ordered some spring rolls as well. Pho was hot and fresh. The whole experience is pretty cool--from the real chopsticks, to the rice noodles, fresh veggie toppings, and variety of sauces. I can see why the Vietnamese eat this regularly--it's filling and doesn't leave you disgusted like most American food does. You feel healthy and satisfied when done. This is my best Pho for a long while. One can taste the ox bone. Surprisingly, mije bowl has a strong flavor of pepper to it. 5* If it is not salty enough for you, they l've got fish sauce on every table. Nope, not the boring soy sauce. Service is fast. Didn't heed my own advice and along with the lemongrass grilled chicken vermicelli, I got an order of spring rolls, no shrimp, and like an episode of fear factor, I struggled to eat the vermicelli, but pushed my plate away halfway into ONE of my TWO spring rolls (with fantastic peanut sauce!). At checkout for both dishes, I paid about $10 bucks for a ridiculous amount of food. If you are stuck near the Atlanta airport, eat here. In my mind, there are no other options. I came here twice in a span for twelve hours for dinner and lunch this past weekend, since I'm not too keen on Ruby Tuesday. Over the two meals, I got to try the shrimp rolls, pho, bun with pork and shrimp, pho bo ko, bun bo hue, and taro smoothie with boba (side note: if you can't share food with friends, are you even really friends?). Everything was solid, though I didn't find the bun bo hue all that spicy. I had gone to Pho Dai Loi #2 years before and didn't really get on with the broth compared to Pho Bac and hated there are no banh mi, but I really enjoyed everything this time. Service was pretty standard and I have nothing to complain about, although they may have forgotten about one of my friends' order. We were a group of eight though and they didn't forget my food, so I don't care. There was no wait at 6:30 on a Sunday, but there was a short wait for lunch the next day. I must say, the lunch crowd here really hit home that food is the gateway to understanding. I mean, the crowd was so diverse, from Vietnamese immigrants, hipster foodies driving in from East Atlanta, soldiers and cops, and a mixed bag of locals working nearby. I'm into it. read more
