P10. Combo Pho and Summer Rolls
    Ashleigh P.

I guess I didn't post a review after my first visit, but this review will basically be the same. At least they're consistent. I was out running errands and was close by, so I stopped in to grab some Pho. I ordered the summer rolls and the Pho Dac Biet. The summer rolls are filled pretty decently. The peanut sauce was very thick and sweet. The pho was good. The portion of meat seems to be a bit less compared to when I get pho off Buford or in Duluth. It's fine when I just want to take a short 10 min drive to satisfy my craving. There's nothing that really stands out about this place. It's not bad and it's not great.

    Great packaging. Super fresh looking.

Packaging and the visual was great! The experience went downhill after that. The Pho and rice was room temp. The taste was also mid. So disappointed. I was wanting the rich complex bone broth flavor and I got boxed super watered down chicken broth flavor. Won't order again.

The service was great and attentive! Pho was amazing and had everything you need to make the Pho even better! I do wish they put more noodles but it was still a great serving size. They do offer 3 sizes! Pictured is a small bowl! -S/N very clean restaurant and restrooms.

I want to take my nutrition up a notch, which can be a challenge while on the road. I was headed to one of the national chain restaurants, when I noticed Pho Dakao. We were warmly welcomed and ushered to our table. Two selections jumped off of the menu and grabbed my attention. With the help of our charming waitress my order of Veggie Soup and Com Chay was off to the chef. While waiting we warmed to the natural wood tables, cozy chairs and artwork on the walls. It seems like in no time at all our food was delivered hot, colorful and fragrant. I did not love the 90's music. I wish restaurants with ethnic cuisine would stick with the commensurate music. Cuisine and music are best paired together. We did our meal and left absolutely satisfied. Stop by and level up your nutrition with great Vietnamese food at Pho Dakao!

The food is great from the steak or Combo pho to the spring rolls and papaya salad. The service is also outstanding, polite and on top of things. Amazing place to have dinner or a date.

This place is really my comfort place. The food is always so delicious, everything that I want and more. You go in and first thing you're hit with is the most delicious smell. I literally get to the car and have to open it up right away to get at least one spring roll for the road. Anytime I'm craving something super light fresh and comforting best believe I'm coming here.

I think the best thing this restaurant has going for it is its location -- steps away from Marshall's and TJ's. The pho, not so much. First they bring out a cold bowl covered in Saran Wrap with a small amount of sprouts, jalapenos and greens to add to the pho. "Is that all we get?" I asked the server, which prompted her to bring out another. Then came the soup. Virtually tasteless. What saved it were the limes. I squirted in as many as I could get my hands on and doctored it up with the shredded greens and sprouts. The shrimp in my pho tom were rubbery and did nothing to enhance the soup's flavor. I hate to denigrate a relatively new business, but with all the options in the neighborhood, this is a one-shot deal for me. And btw, it's not cheap.

Fried rice (without egg that was a side order)

I love this place a lot!!!, I like the art style of the Vietnam women and the guitar paintings since I played guitar I felt at home. the food prices are reasonable prices for such a large rice bowl at 14$ (I think) it was amazing and I love the large food quantities the music playlists consist of (the Mariahs and laufey) which are very good artists the service was amazing the waitress would check up on us every once in a while and when i was out of water she came and refilled my drink within seconds I love this place and 100% recommend

I'm Vietnamese and I'm used to my moms homemade pho. And this is the one. Hope that helps! Lol jk But seriously the broth is soooo savory, it had to have been brewing for over a day! That goes for both CHICKEN and BEEF pho broths! And yes, they give you enough veggies for your soup. I feel like most places skimp out because some people just waste them, which is a shame. Oh and SATE! That is all. No need to fight your way into downtown Atlanta.

This has quickly become one of my go to Vietnamese places. The pho comes in 3 sizes. It also comes in a few varieties. Beef, chicken, and vegetarian. The standard sprouts, lime and jalapeños comes with your soup. For a small up charge you can get egg noodles instead of the rice noodles. That would be my recommendation. I had the shrimp in chicken broth with egg noodles. The broth was delicious and served piping hot. On my visits I've ordered the spring rolls. They are really fresh although much smaller than I am used to. The sauce is fantastic. Although I didn't take a picture of it I also split a bah mi. The has been the least successful choice in my opinion. The chicken was so dry although the bread was really good. I would not order it again. The fried rice here is HUGE. It is flavorful and definitely worth trying. I was a little disappointed that they don't make a spicy version. Although they have chili oil and sriracha on the table it just hits different when it's cooked in. If you like fried rice then you should definitely try it here. The service is friendly and efficient. Highly recommended

I really don't know what happened here …read more.. Against our better judgement, a friend and I chose this place as a back-up option since our first choice was closing for lunch orders. Admittedly, I was skeptical when I saw the limited menu and some of the options (I LOVE Thai food and have had variations in many parts of the world). BUT I was encouraged to know there were at least two vegan entree options on the menu. No. Never again. Not at all. The spring rolls were the most minuscule versions I've ever had. The casing was weird, to say the least, and the flavor was barely there. We ordered a broccoli entree to share. Check out the photos for yourself. WHERE IS THE BROCCOLI?!? My friend's meal was BLAND. My meal was better but the peppers were almost raw. The BEST thing we had was the roti. ROTI. At a Thai restaurant. The absolute best thing on the menu was roti?! No meatless curry options with ample veggies. Not one rice dish, served with veggies. Lots of chicken ‍. Lots of fish oil ‍. Roti was the best thing we ate. And don't even bother with the purple rice. Absolutely disappointed. The server was kind although our 2nd order of roti went to the wrong table - they gladly accepted it with no questions asked - because she was conducting what looked like an interview in between checking on our table. If you've read my reviews you know anything less than 4-5 stars is RARE. I honestly don't understand what happened during my experience at this restaurant but definitely will not be returning.

The broth was incredibly flavorful and rich. My only complaint was the noodles... I definitely prefer the thinner rice noodles that come with pho. We also ordered the green papaya salad. It was fresh, delicious, and had a nice kick to it, so if you're not a fan of spicy food, be warned! The summer rolls were also very good. The only downside was the peanut sauce. It had a stronger hoisin flavor than I prefer. I personally like peanut sauce that's creamier and has more of a peanut butter base. I also tried the Thai steamed dumplings. They were okay, but nothing particularly memorable. They came out stuck together and were topped with crunchy garlic bits. Unfortunately, they weren't my favorite dish of the meal. The prices were very reasonable, especially for the quality and portion sizes. Our server was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed, even though he was the only one working and was clearly busy. From what I understand, this is a semi-family-owned restaurant (correct me if I'm wrong), and you can really tell that everything is made with care and attention. The restaurant also has two beautiful saltwater aquariums that are relaxing to watch while you enjoy your meal, which adds to the overall atmosphere. One thing to keep in mind is the restaurant's hours. They don't always match what's listed online. They have a takeout-only period from 5:00-6:00 p.m., so it's worth checking before you go. Overall, we had a great experience and will definitely be back to try more items on the menu. I'll be sure to update my review after our next visit!
