We seem to go here once a week or so, never a bad meal. We usually get the #15 grilled chicken, be sure to try their lemonade. Service always fast and friendly

I've been looking for a go to spot for authentic Vietnamese food, and Pho Delicious in West Haven really nailed it. From the moment I walked in, the service was super welcoming and attentive. The vibe inside is great, clean, cozy, and perfect for a casual lunch or a nice sit-down dinner. The food itself is incredible. The broth in the pho is so flavorful and clear, you can tell they take their time with it. The portions are very generous too, so you definitely won't leave hungry! Everything tasted fresh, from the herbs to the meats. It's hard to find a place that gets the balance of flavor and service just right, but this spot does it effortlessly. I'm so glad I found this gem, I'll definitely be back for more!

I was craving something warm and comforting for dinner, and this definitely fixed that craving. I ordered the pho Bo which is the rare beef pho. The portion size was large, but I would have liked more beef in it. The broth's flavor was elevated with lime, basil leaves, and siracha. My friend ordered the rice plate served with grilled pork chop, fried egg, and Vietnamese sausage. I tried a piece of it, and the pork was grilled to perfection and had good flavor. She commented how the rice was cooked well. Unfortunately we both did not enjoy the egg rolls. They were crispy but lacked flavor. Our waiter was very prompt and kind. I think he was the owner of the establishment. I plan to come back if I'm ever in the area and craving pho.

Best Pho I've tried, the passion fruit tea was so good my friend and I had two one for the meal and one to go for a walk on the beach. The restaurant was being ran by two gentleman, one taking orders and making teas,& the other appeared to be the chef who made his way around tables checking in that everyone was satisfied with their meals. The place was clean,& simple in set up.The price Range was good and the portions were great. I 100% recommend and wish them success.

Pho Delicious is a much-welcome addition to West Haven's sorely lacking Asian culinary scene, conveniently located in the Savin Rock Plaza near the beach. Parking is plentiful, and the restaurant can comfortably accommodate groups of all sizes, from small to large gatherings. The combination pho was solid. If I compare it to some of the best pho I've had in Connecticut however, I felt the broth was lacking in depth and aroma, and the meat could have been more tender. The portion was sufficient for their regular size, and the price was reasonable for today's market. They definitely skimp on the garnishing on the side for the pho compared to other places, but it's the perfect amount for someone like me that usually doesn't add all the vegetables. The Bun Thịt Nướng, Chả Giò was quite good. For those unfamiliar, it's basically vermicelli noodles with grilled pork and egg rolls. I found the pork was cooked and seasoned well and the vegetables were crisp and fresh. I thought the egg roll was flavorful as well, although my dining partner thought it could have used more filling. The menu is not as extensive as it seems at first glance. Many of the vermicelli and rice items are essentially the same dish but with a different protein. The menu that they had as of 10/3/24 also doesn't number the menu items, which can make it more challenging for both the customer and the server when placing orders since most of the menu is in Vietnamese. Be sure to try their drinks. I only had the avocado smoothie, but I was so impressed with it that they've convinced me to try their other drinks for next time. The smoothie was kind of thick, so I recommend requesting a boba tea straw because I was struggling to drink mine out of a regular straw. I'm thrilled to finally have a Vietnamese restaurant where I don't need to travel out of town for! Its location near the beach also makes it a perfect spot for a meal followed by a relaxing walk on the broadwalk. I was saddened to hear when Iishin Ramen Bar closed, and I'm hoping Pho Delicious has better success! We need more diverse Asian dining options in West Haven!

All you need to know about this restaurant is in the name...it's DELICIOUS!! Honestly, this is the best Vietnamese restaurant I've eaten at on the east coast. It would fit right in with the best ones in California and Washington, where the Asian population is much higher and therefore they just have more options to choose from. As of Aug 2025, I've gone twice now to Pho Delicious and was blown away both times by the super friendly customer service, the freshness of their food, and the obvious love and attention the chef puts into the many hours it takes to prepare the meats and broth. Hoai, the chef and owner, absolutely knows what he's doing! So far, I've tried the following dishes: crispy egg roll, fresh spring roll, chicken wings, short ribs with rice, bun thit nuong, pho bo, and shaking beef. Everything was outstanding! Never over salted nor under seasoned. And for what it's worth, it's not your typical ambiance where the food is delicious but the restaurant itself is kinda cruddy and run-down looking. Hoai put as much thought into how he wanted it to look and feel as he does into his menu. It's a beautiful, pleasant, relaxing blend of east-meets-west. My only complaint? Why can't his restaurant be closer to where I live? It's almost an hour drive for me to get there, but I gotta admit, it's worth it!!! I will absolutely be returning as much as my schedule allows!

I have been coming here every weekend. Service is great and food is amazing. Highly recommend if your looking for good pho in new haven!!

If you want great tasting Vietnamese cuisine, this is the best place in CT. The food exquisite and seasoned to perfection. It's very light on the stomach. The atmosphere is pleasant and the service is impeccable. Guarantee the food worth every penny. Favorite is Filet mignon shake and beef

This is my 3rd visit here...today's visit is somewhat different. I ordered the chicken pho , but the garnishment that came with it was somewhat disappointing. I received 1 piece/ small stalk of slightly wilted cilantro & 2 slices of jalapeño peppers. But one slice contained brown seeds. Nevertheless, I'm a huge fan of Asian cuisine, and I never experienced having this type of garnishment with my pho compared to Pho Viet in Newington. This pho contained slices of chicken, but I'm accustomed to shredded chicken and that's ok. Admittedly, the pho was tasty but I had much, much better. On this visit, I was somewhat disappointed .

I love this place. I'm really in there 3 times a week. The food is great. Servers and owners are friendly. The kitchen and dining area is clean. But yeah, the food is great. Really great!

You won't be disappointed when you go there.

Four of us met for an early dinner at 4pm. It got busier as it got later so reservations may be best. The owner/host/server was the nicest guy, explained the menu in great detail and helped us with what to order. It was fantastic! Everything is made from scratch, and I mean everything! His mother in law is in the kitchen cooking like she's in her home country. We had fried wonton appetizer that was not greasy at all. Delicious and homemade. We also had coconut shrimp, they were jumbo shrimp and tasted great. For dinner I wish I could remember the exact names but I'll have to describe them. Grade A steak tips with salad - not your typical boring salad with steak on top. This was seasoned to perfection and came with an amazing dipping sauce of salt, pepper and lime. So good you will want to put that sauce on everything! Scallion pancake much like a crepe but crispy, filled with vegetables and your choice of protein (we had shrimp and pork) absolutely delicious! Lemongrass curry with beef - now this is not a big bowl of soup like curry, this is served in a dish with veggies and rice on the side. The flavor was incredible. I can't even explain it. You've got to order it. They are so passionate about the meals they prepare and it shows. Outstanding service and high quality food. Oh and let me give you a a tip, if you're not an alcoholic drinker they have homemade limeade and green tea. I suggest getting the limeade. You will never have better! So refreshing. So 2 appetizers, 4 dinners, 5 homemade limeades for $200 with a tip. Well worth it and will definitely be back!!!

It's not a bad thing at all! That's when you know someone in the back perfected that recipe. I'm sorry I had to repeat it several times how good it was. Portions, cuts of meat, everything was on point. I would just come here for that alone if I ever drive back here. The spring rolls on the other hand was standard. Nothing too crazy, nothing special about it. I was hoping they use the clear raps and pan fried/deep fried it with that instead but we got to regular spring roll wraps which is fine. All in all, if you're ever in this area. HIGHLY recommend !

Totally worth it and a really great way to spend a Thursday evening. Service is always kind, I tend to go in a small group with the intention of chatting, hanging out, and eating a few bites while we wait for trivia to start. We get in well before trivia so we never have issues with seating, but it starts to fill up as 7 rolls around! The chive bites are a showstopper--my friends and I almost always do 2 orders or more, and we love the sauce and dip everything else in it as well. The boneless wings are delicious and not a bar's typical "chicken nugget"-esque wing, but rather a really great fried bite. Their lemon drop is $6 during happy hour, so how could I not pick that as my drink of choice? And their spicy basil udon with chicken or tofu is delicious every time. Last night when I was there, the owner, Michael, gave us our shots for coming 3rd place in trivia and he was super pleasant! The whole place seems to have tons of events (like a Survivor watchparty night I'd love to catch!!) and just the best vibe ever. Pride flags are abound and it's a really great spot. Ordered the pork dumplings in hot oil, Udon chicken noodles, and glass noodles with chicken. All were terrible. Normally when I order hot oil dumplings, the amount of hot oil they are tossed in is generous and you sip up the oil with the dumplings. Not here. It's like they just drizzled the dumplings; and they were allegedly steamed, but it tasted more like they were microwaved, which is gross when originally serving a dish in a restaurant. The two noodle dishes were dry and the glass noodles did not have a hint of the garlic sauce they were supposedly cooked in and the chicken was either nuked or boiled. Again, gross. Not even a hint of stir fry and the veggies in the dish were chintzy. The Udon dish was slightly better and it might have been quickly stir fried, as it had some spice to it, but again, the chicken was as dry as in the glass noodle dish and sparse veggies. At $38.48 for this disaster, I felt it was a clear ripoff. I don't mind paying for food but when the quality is at max a 3 out of 10, I'm out. I should have known I was in trouble when I walked in and the dining area was mostly a bar. And that seems to be what this operation is: a bar that happens to serve Asian food. I have no idea how this place is averaging 4.5 for a rating on Yelp. Stay far away.
