Cashew Nut Chicken (Create your own)

Making my way through the SRI Thai menu and I still haven't picked a favorite, because It's All Good!!! My original quest was to find great local chicken wings and I happened to stumble across this place. Sometimes they need a lil extra pinch of salt but they were great. They are crispy and stay crispy through takeout and delivery. My other staple is the papaya salad. Also amazing! It's refreshing with a great dressing and fills my veggies quota. Another fave is the Vegetarian Tempura which is deep fried vegetables, where can u go wrong? I could go through the entire menu but that would take too long. I haven't tried any of the stir fried noodles because that's not really my thing. The only thing I ever didn't like was one of the soups and that was just a matter of personal taste, not because it wasn't good. Love the fried rice, Love the Salads, Love the Desserts! And don't forget the Thai Iced Tea which is not everyone's cup of tea, but I love it! And the "create your own meat" is what I'm working through right now. So basically the flavors, veggies, and add-ins are set and you choose which meat to add in whether its chicken, beef, pork, shrimp, tofu, and more.... I Love the spicy ones like Wild Boar Basil, and my latest was the Young Ginger! Delish!!! Customer service is always on point! They make you feel welcomed and are grateful for you business. There is seating inside, but it never seems full. There is also easy online ordering which is what I usually do. One day I might venture off my routine and dine-in. The latest thing here is the addition of the lunch specials. They are around the same price as the regular menu items, but different. So regular item is a large entree accompanied by white rice. It's enough for two people or two meals. The lunch is a more like a complete meal. It has a smaller entree with rice and also includes 2 spring rolls and a side salad. I like it!!! The prices are great and as long as I can afford it, I will continue to return. This may be the first restaurant where I will literally have eaten everything on the menu! Great Job SRI Thai!!!

Quaint little thai place tucked into an unassuming plaza. Try it, you won't regret it! I especially loved the fresh rolls and my daughter said this was the best pad thai dish she's ever had! Both brother (chef) and sister (waitress) owners are super sweet and pleasant!

Traveling through and wanted to eat local. Saw the place on the map and went. It was very good and they were so nice and helpful. Daughter said the honeydew milk boba was delicious and she loved her sweet sticky rice. Pad Thai tofu was yum! Definitely recommend.

My family just had dinner here. Restaurant has cute setting, super clean, food taste freshly made, food also feel containing natural ingredients, not from artificial spices. Customer service was nice, and they will certainly leave you little private space for your family. It's just around the corner from where I live, so i'll definitely return and recommend it to other people.

This small restaurant is my go to stop for dinner after my train ride home from NYC. Rachanee and Paul know how to provide great service and food. The crispy spring rolls come out hot and my only complaint is not ordering more as they disappeared quite quickly to my belly. The coconut chicken soup was good, if you don't like lemongrass or coconut flavor stay away, but for those that like it as myself- it's a great comfort soup while being light. I also get the Thai tea, if you like sweet and creamy this is your sign to try this drink. Overall, pricing is reasonable and food is delivered as it's cooked so you don't have to worry about getting cold food.

Authentic Thai food! Always fresh and satisfying. Everyone there is very nice as well. You wont regret ordering here!

Chicken drunken noodles. The egg wasn't incorporated into the rest of the dish (see bottom), but the flavor was great

I ordered take out from Sri Thai and got the drunken noodles and the pad thai. The drunken noodles was actually a bit spicy, which I appreciated. The egg in the drunken noodles was scrambled and added to the top of the noodles (I would've preferred it cut into smaller pieces and incorporated throughout), and there wasn't much chicken in the pad thai. The woman working the counter was very accommodating and friendly. I would come back here to try some of their other dishes, and the bubble tea!

What was not good was the notable discrepancy in price on the website versus the actual prices. So, this review is a PSA because Thai Spice really needs to rectify this immediately and get all of its sites updated. At the time of our order two weeks ago (and at the time that I am writing this review), the website https://thaispiceauthentic.com/ and the PDF menu hyperlink on that website (and the Order Now hyperlinks on the site) all reflect outdated prices. If you access the business via the https://www.yumdthaicuisine.com/ site (immediately confusing because this does not appear to be the current restaurant name, and the sign outside the restaurant says Thai Spice) or if you Google the restaurant and access the Toast site to order, you will get the current, actual prices. But these are way too many variables for a customer to reasonably navigate or to know what is accurate. We ordered the following: - Thai Sampler - We expected to pay $14.96/99 (two prices, one on the PDF and one via the Order Now link); the actual current price is an astounding $22.50 ($15 was a good deal, we thought; $22.50 is not--not for what you get) - Chicken Pad Thai - We expected to pay $13.96/99; the actual price is $14.95 - Yellow Curry - $13.96/99; actual price, $14.95 - Sticky Rice - $3.00; actual price, $4.00 A difference of over $10. Not great.

The spring rolls were an absolute joke and overpriced. They had a very weird funky taste from first bite to after taste. Portions were small overall and prices were high. Most of the dishes we had lacked flavor. Compared to all the other fantastic Thai restaurants around, I wouldn't come here again. Our particular server was not mean but she also was not nice. She had a very particular way of doing every bit and it was just an odd experience as a diner. Food overall: 4.5/10 Service: 4.5/10 I'm surprised this place has good reviews on google. My sister ordered the shoyu ramen with shrimp tempura, which was delicious. Tempura was served separately so it was crispy. My mom also had Ladna seafood but shrimp only. It is really big portion. Overall, a solid spot if you're in the mood for Thai and Japanese noodles.

Shhh, don't tell anyone!…read more But also tell everyone you know! Let it Be is a chic, cozy little hole in the wall spot on Dixwell which although you can easily miss, you won't want to because it's a legend of a Thai restaurant. AMBIANCE - 8/10 When you walk inside, you're greeted by a familiar friendly smile (? one of the owners) before being seated amongst brightly colorful interior decor. They play relaxing Thai classics and sometimes switch it up with familiar and vibey pop songs. It's a small space, but is never overcrowded, and there's conveniently plenty of parking in the back. FOOD - 9/10 The food here is incredible. I've tried multiple Thai places in and around the New Haven/Hamden area and Let it Be has got them all beat. Not only are the flavors authentic and high quality, but prices are fair and the dishes are well-portioned. Best of all, they're made with so much heart. Every bite has felt like a journey back home to South East Asia. SERVICE - 9/10 The service here has been phenomenal. Our friendly server is welcoming, prompt, and responsive to our needs. When a dish we asked for wasn't available, he took the time to find similar dishes for us. He also takes the time to make friendly conversation and share with us the history of some of the special dishes. Visits here always just feel like a pitstop at a friendly neighbor's. The only thing is that it can take a bit of time for the food to come out, which is natural as the dishes are likely made to order. OVERALL - 9/10 From the Thai staples (pad thai, red and green curries) to the more avant garde (larb kai but in a bánh mì / hoagie style sandwich?! woah!), this place does it all the right way. If you couldn't tell by now, this is my absolute favorite Thai place and I could not recommend it enough. Ally's Recs: Pad Thai (8/10) - cannot go wrong with a classic Pad See Ewe (9/10) - another classic! tastes great with a squeeze of lime Let it Be Thai Curry (9/10) - delicious house curry; they combo the curries well to create a creamy sweet and savory mixture that always leaves you wanting more Thai Tea (8/10) - if you're down for a treat, the condensed milk hits every time! Longan Juice / Tea (7/10) - refreshing and comes with a bunch of juicy longans on top. such a unique offering!
