Rated this a 5 star because it is the best place to go in Chilliwack. Even better than some of the ones in Vancouver. If you don't go at right time, be prepared to wait for awhile. The good was really good - from pho to lemongrass chicken on rice, you can't go wrong with anything here. Although the service was pretty good, you have to wonder how quicker things would be if they had another person working. Seems like minimal staff on hand during the peak times. The parking lot isn't the best. Hard to find parking especially when sharing with Starbucks! read more

HUGE portions. It's almost impossible to leave hungry. It's like a very good, restaurant-quality ramen. The meat quality is good, and it even comes with lemongrass, (basil?), and bean sprouts. They have hoisin and sriracha at the table. Be aware that pho is quite salty, but it's supposed to be. Their smoothies are made with real fruit, so they aren't as flavorful as you might expect. Leaving them to sit for a few minutes helps bring out the flavor. They no longer serve bubble tea at all, and have stopped serving several flavors of smoothie (soursop, and durian), but have not updated their menu to reflect this. Overall, good value. NOTE: Eat your leftovers as soon as possible. The noodles go mushy within 12-24 hours. read more

I've never been to Chilliwack before and I was so surprised they have a pho restaurant here in the middle of nowhere lol. With all the excellent reviews I decided to give this place a try. I gotta say I have no idea how this place got such good reviews because the soup base was just mediocre. It wasn't good but it wasn't bad. The people with the 4 or 5 star review have to try pho from Vancouver/Richmond/Surrey because if you think this place is good you'll be taste bud blown if you try pho places that's closer to the city. read more

Four of us dined here together, ranging in age from 5 to mid-40s. Really busy when we showed up at 1pm, however we were seated quickly. Very little room to move around. Took a while to take our order and we had to pay to get our extras packed up. Food was quick and good, although none of us were blown away by anything (and I really disliked the salad rolls... Runny sauce and poorly constructed. Tasted a bit off even though they were veggie.) I'd return again if I really had a hankering for Vietnamese, and the staff were amazingly friendly, including a gent we affectionately called Grandpa, who smiled at everyone as he cleared tables and shook the hand of the adult make in our group as we left. read more

Awesome food, awesome prices but THIS ONE WORKER. The one lady there is so rude every time I come in, I've actually stopped eating there solely because of her attitude. Also for takeout, she is the only one who charges extra if you want chili oil or a side sauce. This stuff is available on the table unlimited for free if you eat in, so why charge for it when someone orders takeout? Not fair. Such a shame, everything else (even the other servers) is great but she is enough to put me off the whole place. read more

Didn't expect to find a good vietnamese place in this part of town but this place was a pleasant surprise! The portions were great and the special was a good deal, large pho and spring roll for $10.70. They were very generous with the meat portion. Service was standard to any vietnamese restauraunt, no nonsense and quick. Would definitely go back again when I'm in the area. read more

Server (small guy) is very very very rude, impatient and yells at customers. I had a guest and we decided to eat here. My guest was asking a few questions about the menu and this server suddenly said "Are you ready or not?!" He was waiting for only like 2 minutes! So he left and said he'll come back. When my guest called him again to give the order, he yelled and said "One minute! Can't you see I'm busy!!" Now, I just don't think that is the right way to treat customers. By doing that, he humiliates himself and makes all the other customers feel awkward and uncomfortable. Being busy doesn't give him the right to yell at customers. This isn't some "phony" review. We were coming from the south (America) and we wanted something tasty, we looked all around town and this is what caught our eye. WATCH OUT! Soup #34 - Is labelled Vegetarian with Tofu....... It is NOT vegetarian.... the broth is BEEF!!! I thought it tasted meat-like, and called and asked, and the lady confirmed it was beef broth. I said, "why would you label it vegetarian soup? Vegetarian soup should have a vegetable broth!". Delicious Pho, Lemon Grass chicken with spring roles for the kids and they love it! Very affordable with great service. Family of 4 ate for $50 with tip and 2 appy's. This is a good place to get Pho. They are always packed and have a tiny parking lot, so I couldn't give them 5 stars. But, if you don't care about a fancy place, your in for a real treat. I lived in Ottawa -- home of eleventy million pho restaurants -- for several years, but the best pho I've ever had is in Chilliwack. Who would have guessed? The broth is the tastiest, most complex and savoury broth I've ever tried; the sprouts and basil, etc., are fresh and crunchy, and it's amazing value for money. Also tried the vegetarian spring rolls, which were piping hot, crispy and delicious (served with a choice of dipping sauce). My friend reports that the vermicelli bowls are excellent too. The owner is super passionate about his food, and took the time to explain to us that he simmers his broth for hours in the traditional manner. Very clean restaurant; delicious, amazing food. This is a hidden gem. Best Pho in Chilliwack. Place is packed every lunch hour. Get there at least 15 minutes before noon if you don't want to wait for a table. They make the broth the right way so that you really get the robust flavours. The place reminds me of Seinfelds no soup for you episode. I ordered a bubble tea smoothie with my meal, and I never got it. When I went up to pay, my friend and I wanted to split the price of the appetizer that her and I shared. I told the woman at the register what I ordered and that I wanted to split the appi, which resulted in her immediately yelling that she cannot split the price of something on the menu. She shows me our bill and says that it's all together, even though neither my friend nor I asked for it to all be together. I try again to say that we just want to pay for half each, to which she responds "WHAT YOU ORDER?!", and when I, shocked, stuttered "Umm..." she began repeatedly screaming that, berating me until I finally said that I would just buy the god damn appetizer (Which cost 2x what my main course did). She huffs and glares at me, and begins typing the prices of the combined three items that my friend and I bought. Good food, shit service. read more

I cannot say anything negative about the food, it is always delicious. Since moving to BC last summer we have eaten here many times, have recommended it to a lot of people, and have always tipped well in appreciation of good food and service. However, I ordered take out for the first time in December last year when my daughter was out visiting, When I went to pick it up I asked a couple of questions to make sure I had everything I needed and was treated very rudely. I chalked it up to a bad day. Last week I decided to do take out again and ordered the hot and sour soup, when I was asked if I wanted noodles or rice I chose rice on the side. I asked for some chili oil to go with it. When I went to pick it up it was several dollars more than I expected, was told it was for the hot sauce. I nicely pointed out that it is free on the table, she said free if you eat in but extra for take out. It was literally a couple of spoonfuls! I said fine but could I please have a packet of soy sauce and was refused because it was not part of my meal! So much for being a loyal customer! This is by far my all time favourite restaurant. I have had Pho in many Provinces and a couple of States... Nowhere beats this Pho! I always get the #34 and #15 which is the tofu and veggies in noodle soup and veggie salad rolls. I eat here at least once a week, if not then twice. The Pho is amazing, not too salty but not too light, the soup is loaded with veggies and tofu. It a massive portion They don't skimp out on anything here! The salad rolls are great also, the veggie ones have deep fries tofu inside which tastes great. They are pretty big salad rolls and the peanut sauce is great as well. Not as good as the soup though, nothing beats the soup. Another thing I love about this place is that it has great vegetarian options. The Vietnamese veggie sub is really good too! This also has deep fried tofu like the salad roll, the sauce is delicious and the perfect amount of veggies makes the sub great. The staff are just wonderful here! They remember our order and our toddler loves each of them. The place is always packed and super busy, I wish they would expand or open up new locations. Every time we have out of town guests they always eat here as well and always come back. I can't say enough great things about this place! It's just incredible. read more
