    Lemon grass chicken on rice

I don't know Abbotsford well, so we searched up Vietnamese restaurants and chose this place because it got a high rating. Here is how I rate my experience: Service 4/5 Staff 5/5 Ambience 3/5 Cleanliness 4/5 Food 2/5 Bang for your buck 1/5 The waiter was well spoken, friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. There was pleasant music playing in the background. Decor was on point. The food was lacking in flavour. It did not have the umami factor. I tried adding hot sauce, hoisin sauce, basil leaves etc to up the flavour, but it didn't work mainly because it wasn't just lacking in flavour, the texture of my noodles were off as well. My bill totalled just under $45. Totally not worth it in my opinion. I've had way better for less $

Good place to grab your typical Vietnamese food not too far from the freeway. Came here with some gfs and had rice and vermicelli bowls. Everyone enjoyed their food. Staff was friendly.

Spot chicken wings...great with your drink!!

One would think that after almost being in Asia for 4 months, one would not miss Asian food! But interesting enough while I was back in Hong Kong I really miss the Vietnamese food here from Vancouver! My partner had arranged a getaway in Aldergrove,BC and we were craving for Pho, so we found New Saigon in Abbotsford, this is a small restaurant managed by the owner( extremely polite and friendly ), Henry introduced himself to us and was chatting about how the lower mainland has changed and people in general are not as friendly as before, thus being in a restaurant that serves not only good food but offer a friendly face and conversation really makes dining out extra special! Food wise, we had the appy chicken wings which is perfect accompaniment for my Mojito see pic. We also had the fried wonton...crispy and not greasy at all. For main my partner had the special Pho; Soup is served hot and very aromatic with just the right kick! I had the Combo F as you can see from the photo is a generous serving of spring roll, grilled lemongrass pork, succulent prawns etc...just delicious! For a small independent restaurant managing to survive for the last 20 odd years...good food is a given but I think most of all Henry the proprietor make a huge difference!!

    Nice decor....

Great place - first timer and will be back Great service busy cheap fresh food and nice clean decor One order of soup and what a great taste unlike the bland Pho I use to think was good.... Ive found a new favourite Pho Second order was Henry's Special - got a good review and I even got to sneak a few bites If you like Pho come to this great little place you won be disappointed

    Saigon Slaw

On a road trip so stopped here for lunch. Ordered Henry's Special, Lemon Grass Chicken, Spicy Fish Sauce Chicken Wings, and Saigon Slaw. Everything was good, but the chicken wings were fantastic! We also really liked the slaw and the spring rolls in the special. This place is good enough we even talked about coming out here from Vancouver just for dinner.

Stopped by here for dinner before catching a flight home. Picked this place based in Yelp reviews. Parking 5/5 lots of parking it's in a pretty big strip mall Environment 3/5 the place is very clean , seats about 40 ppl. The weird part is the bathroom Is for males & females with 2 stalls in the same room. So I was in one stall and I could see a gentleman a deer in the stall next to me. Service 5/5 the service was great the young gentlemen who served was young looks like it's family run. Food 3/5 ordered the spicy pork patty with vermicelli the fish sauce was very bland , the poem patty wasn't spicy at all. It wasn't spectacular. The beef noodle soup was very bland as well. I am Vietnamese so I am very a custom to flavourful Vietnamese food and it was not what I would expect from a Vietnamese restaurant.

I haven't seen any other Vietnamese places in this area so I was looking to what they had to offer. It's a really nice, clean spot with a few places to sit inside. We were served by who I think was probably the owner and he was friendly and attentive. I ordered the pho dac biet (#10). The hubby ordered a banh mi. My sister-in-law ordered spring rolls. My nephew got the fried chicken wings. We also ordered egg rolls as an appetizer for all to share. The food came relatively quickly. My bowl of pho was huge! It was loaded with fresh meats & noodles. I added my usual dose of hoisin & Sriracha, loaded up the basil, lime, & bean sprouts, & went to town. I'm used to pho places that have little dipping trays for the sauces to dip my meats in but they didn't have any, so I pretty much hoarded the sauces for my meal. The broth flavor was decent. I did find myself adding more hoisin sauce than I normally would and it felt like no matter how much Sriracha I added, I couldn't taste any kick, unfortunately. The meatballs were my favorite. Oh, and the tendon ( love me some good tendon). Hubby's banh mi was a little on the dry side. He threw some hoisin on that to help with the dryness & I guess that helped a little. Hubby tasted some of the fried chicken & it was decent as well. All in all, it's great that there's a pho place in this area & the food is decent. Service was good. Ambiance is nice. The name of the place is adorable and clever. I overheard that they have been open for about a month and a half, so I hope they continue to draw business. Good selection of food on the menu so I'll happily try something else if we come back!

Called ahead to place my to go order, and it was ready by the time I got there. I had Pho Tofu, and my husband Pho Veggie. They seemed to be identical, other than mine having an addition of 4 cubes of fried tofu. The Pho included corn, broccoli (over cooked), onion, bamboo shoots, carrots, and a few other veggies. It was a pretty decent amount of veggies in a Pho. 2 kinds of sauces were provided: One was similar to hoisin, the other was a fairly spicy (hot) sauce. The broth was tasty, but after adding in the 2 sauces, it seemed to be very salty (it might've been one or both of the sauces, as I didn't taste the broth before adding the sauces). It was a perfectly ok bowl of Pho.

Finally a teriyaki place where we Didn't have to ask for more sauce, and it was so delicious! I am assuming the owner working by them selves was so nice and I heard him cooking our food fresh! The place is like most teriyaki places in decor but it was clean including the condiment tips and such which is such a huge plus for those of us who have issues with dirty communal condiments!
