Grilled beef, shrimp, and egg rolls in rice noodles
    Betty G.

We came here a few weeks ago but decided to eat something else and left. Came back again last night since it was so cold and my husband wanted to have some rice porridge. He had never been a porridge guy until lately since he tasted the porridge at another restaurant and really liked it. I got their #48, noodles with grilled beef, shrimp, and egg rolls. I didn't expect much but was pleasantly surprised finding out how good that was. The beef was tender, perfectly seasoned and not too salty, and flavorful. Same with the grilled shrimp. The egg rolls had a nice perfect crunch without being too oily. And they used the old-fashioned rice paper wrap, which you don't find anymore these days! Only wish the noodles were warmer. The were actually cold noodles. My husband ordered the combo porridge with chicken, beef, and shrimp. It was very good. Service was excellent. The lady server was friendly and attentive, she kept on checking on us and asked if we needed anything else. She was quick to bring what we needed. We will definitely be back again to try other dishes. NOTE: this Pho Ha Noi restaurant is not associated with any of the other Pho Ha Noi. There are several in OC and none of them is associated with the others.

Located next to Lees sandwhiches made it a difficult decision. But so glad I tried them Quick service. Drink order taken immediately. Menu delivered quickly. Big menu variety. Clean restaurant. Friendly staff. Great tasting fresh food. I ordered the #47 basically bun bo nuong with cha giao. It was delicious and they refilled my drinks often Will go back when I the area.

Overall the service was AMAZING, the prices were also unbeatable! The food was good overall, but the only thing is the egg roll was very oily. I LOVED hot they had Vietnamese soy milk available--Overall it was a very homey feel and was overall authentic.

As soon as I sat down, I knew the food would be amazing, I wasn't wrong whatsoever. I got the daily special. I got a large bowl of combination pho, a spring roll, and a Dr Pepper. For everything to be both efficient and delicious is a win no matter the price. But my total for everything wasn't even twenty dollars. The price and speed alone would make me come back often, but with the quality of the food as well as the price, it's hard for me to go anywhere else.

Ordered through Uber Eats yesterday (prices were higher), but it was so yummy, we got it again today! The charbroiled pork had an awesome flavor but the pork was very fatty. I got bun yesterday but rice today. Both days I got the spring rolls, which were delicious! When picking up today, I went in person and the service was great! Restaurant looked clean but I had gotten to-go. Will definitely come again!

I stopped by Pho Ha Noi this afternoon for lunch. When I walked in, I asked if I could sit outside, and the waitress said that was fine and handed me a menu. Since I was dining alone, I chose a small two-seat table. The waitress came out shortly after to take my order -- I went with the lunch special: pho nam, chả giò, and an iced tea. Service was fairly quick, but I was a little confused when my food was served at a larger four-person table nearby -- the same one where the waitress had placed a box of utensils, napkins, and straws earlier. When I asked if the meal was for me, she seemed surprised and said, "Oh, you want to sit there?" I replied, "Yes, please," and she moved some things over. I personally got out of my seat to move my bowl of soup. Not a big deal, but it felt a bit disorganized. The pho was delicious, just as I remembered -- flavorful broth and tender meat. The chả giò was also tasty, though it would've been nice if it came out with the rest of the meal. Unfortunately, the iced tea tasted strongly of dish soap, which was disappointing. They were kind enough to offer me a replacement drink when I mentioned it, but I was hesitant to finish it after the first experience. I eventually had to go inside to request the check since I was short on time and no one had come by. I used to eat here regularly when I worked in this plaza and always enjoyed the food. The quality of the pho is still excellent, but the service this visit felt a bit off compared to before. Hopefully it was just an off day, because this place has always been one of my local favorites for pho.

    Daily special

Nothing fancy but the Pho and service is good. I got the daily special and got plenty of chicken and enjoyed the spring roll.

There aren't a lot of restaurant that offer bun bo hue, so I thought I'd also give that a try. I ordered the pho special, but swapped the pho broth for BBH because I saw another review on here mention they did that - and I am so happy I did! It was really tasty and flavorful with the perfect hint of spicy! I would say I'm pretty picky with food and I would bring my Vietnamese parents here. 5/5 on their taro smoothie. I like that it tastes like fresh taro. I don't really like when it tastes too artificial or too sweet, like the taro milk teas from boba shops. It's also extremely light. Super refreshing on hot days. For being a pho shop in lake Forest and not having to drive all the way to Westminster or bolsa. 5/5 on their pho 5/5 on their bun bo hue 5/5 on their vermicelli noodle dishes. I liked their fish sauce with the sambal 3/5 on the shaken beef (bo luc lac) they don't give you a lot and texture was a bit inconsistent. Flavor was good but wouldn't order it again for the price 2/5 on the chicken curry (ca ri ga) I'm used to Vietnamese curry being a bit sweeter and more coconut/creamier? It tasted a little unbalanced, not enough cream and too much spices (tumeric + cumin + coriander). Slightly salty and watery. I didn't like the chicken either . Service is good when you walk in to be seated and when ordering, but they don't always check in if you need water. You just flag them down. Not a big deal. I'm more interested in how the food tastes. I like that the inside reminds me of typical pho restaurants. Nice and simple. Here for the food! I'll be back!

There was only one server so I was nervous that they'd be slow, but the service was great and food came out rather quickly! We tried the chicken pho which has a nice rich chicken broth. It still tasted clean without skimping out on the clean flavor so it was good! It came with a side of ginger sauce but it tasted good as is. Also got the lemongrass chicken vermicelli. The flavor was nice and authentic, and the chicken itself was nice and perfectly grilled! Some lemongrass chicken have too many chunks of lemongrass which I don't like, but this just had the right amount of the flavor. Overall great service and great food! The ambiance was chill. Lay back decoration, clean and cozy. The food was missing the protein portion. The spring shrimp roll had very tiny shrimps so i didnt get the taste of shrimp. About Banh mi, the same thing as you see in the picture the meat portion is too little in compare to bread. Most of each part was bread so tasting mostly like bread If not the meat itself was delicious when i tried separately. They didnt offer jalapeños or lemon. For me jalapeños is the most with my spring roll. Also, i didnt like the peanut dipping sauce....It was too sweet. There is also bunch of parking lot outside...

At first taste, the broth was fatty (supposed to be clear broth), lacked depth, and didn't have enough sweet to balance the salty. When I finally dug into the contents of the bowl, suddenly the broth was almost flavorless. This tells me either they're recipe just sucks or they're watering down the broth. I BARELY dressed the broth with a little bit of sriracha, so there's no way it would have stood up to my usual routine. Speaking of dressing, wtf is a lemon doing on the plate of accoutrements??? Always lime, never lemon! Meats were fine. The red onion instead of white onion was weird, but not blasphemous like the lemon. They fail miserably on the broth, which is the most important part of this meal!
