I absolutely love this restaurant. It's a straight up authentic Vietnamese experience, don't expect fancy decor or a perfectly quaffed host to seat you. Do expect phenomenal pho, delectable hotpots, and strong Vietnamese Iced Coffee. I've also had the rice plates and bun, it's all excellent. My partner has had the soursop and strawberry smoothies, they're very good and not overly sweet. This is the real deal. The owner, Tiffany, and her staff have poured themselves in to improving the diner's experience in the past few weeks. They still have a few kinks to iron out, but a fresh, cooked to order beef hotpot makes up for it. The only caveats for my new favorite restaurant are if you're a vegetarian you're more or less out of luck, just like being in Vietnam. Plus, there's no "safe" items for the non-ginger and lemongrass lovers in your life, but I see that as a positive. Go eat at Pho Huong. Take your time. Get some spring rolls or the marinated quail. Have a great conversation with your friends and/or family. Try the made hot sauce if that's your thing. Enjoy every bite. Ask about your server's favorite dishes. And get an egg or two on top. Great broth. Expect a few min wait. The food seems to be made to order. Also just get the small bowl of Pho otherwise way too much. Have had the spring rolls and the peanut sauce is delicious. Loved the Pho We were at a sushi restaurant and asked if there are any good Pho places around? The waiter said he comes to Pho Huong and said the Pho is very tasty. The Pho broth is overly seasoned with Thai basil. No Cilantro? Really? The portion of meat was small compared to Saigon. The food here was fantastic, and our server was incredibly friendly! Fresh noodles and well developed flavors! I ordered the stir fried beef with lemongrass vermicelli noodles, and my fiancé ordered the spicy beef soup (chef's special). Both were incredible! I usually doctor my noodles a little bit when ordering Vietnamese, but there was no need at all with this dish. The flavor was perfect as is! I've gone a couple a times and the vegetables are not fresh. I received only one jalapeño and the seeds were brown which indicates it's beginning to rot. Pho relies on the freshness of the vegetables in order to be good. Also they don't include onion which I've always had with pho. In all the pho could be better if they put more effort into the dish. read more

My favorite pho and Vietnamese coffee shop in JXN. Parking is limited here but if you are not their on weekend lunch hours it shouldn't be a problem. I enjoy the pho and I always asked for steamed sprouts. Being from OC I know pho and while this would be a good bowl back home. It's an excellent premier spot in the JXN area. Prices are a bit on the high end for this fare of dining but the servings are generous and the service is excellent. We went to this pho place when we were visiting Jackson for a business conference with Max and Mom. What we really want is the Bun bo bue but the Chef only makes it once a week as a special treat. The way to know if it's served is to check the restaurant Facebook page or instagram for the Chef's announcement. I would definitely do that next time since I believe their Bun Bo Hue must be really good. I believe so because all the other food I randomly ordered were super tasty. My son is very picky when eating out but he loved his hot pot rice with chicken and ate up all of them. The soup was so flavorful and balanced perfectly between salty and sweet. Being from a locale that has an abundance of Pho spots I came to Mississippi not expecting much but I was truly wrong. Man I grabbed a large chicken pho and added shrimp and it was the real thing. Not just some run of the mill typical nonsense. I was so excited so see the product and man the taste was out of this world. Oh my! This place exceeded my expectations across the board. If I had to describe Pho Huong in three words, I would say authentic, unique, and satifying. We started with an appetizer of handmade egg rolls, they were delicious and fresh. We also tried the Quail, it was well seasoned and a great flavor. Sooo now for the main attraction, the pho. So good! It's cooked for 16 hours and you can tell. They give you fresh herbs and sauces to flavor to your liking, amazing! I got the chicken and my girlfriend had the steak and brisket pho (the number three). Another treat was The Mariah, a passionfruit drink that has all types of fruit and gelato (I think) and the Chinese Beer. I don't know if you are big on cleanliness but I must add that the place was sparkling clean and we loved Tiffany!! Since leaving Las Vegas a few months ago, I've been in a culinary depression. There's a dearth of ethnic cuisine, especially SouthEast Asian, here in Jackson. We stumbled upon this place and it's delicious, perfect for a wet and cold night like tonight. Pho, for those who may not know, is a traditional Vietnamese soup. It's a bone broth simmered for hours flavored by anise, cloves, cinnamon, imparting a licorice-like flavor note. The broth is poured over thin rice noodles, and topped with thinly-sliced beef and fresh herbs like cilantro and Thai basil. You can add in hoisin sauce, chili sauce, lime juice, etc. It was good here. My only gripe is that rib-eye should be offered as a meat choice. Also, the Krishna fresh springs are excellent, there's basil embedded within the roll of rice noodles, shrimp, and pork. I've a feeling that we'll scratch our Vietnamese itch here. A pho place for noodle lovers Atmosphere: This place is in a stand-alone building, definitely from a former restaurant of another kind. Not a lot of parking space, if compared to all of the seating available inside. The decor is very simple, it looks like a standard pho place with no frills or fuss. The dining area is two-sided, and large, with plenty of tables and chairs. The tables are quite close together though, so there's a chance one may not fit into one of the chairs, if the seating is occupied from an adjacent table. The room itself is dark from the colours of the walls and floor, but if eating your meal there during the day, there is plenty of lighting from the windows. The check-out area is towards the back of the dining area, you can see into a bit of the back kitchen from it. Food: The menu is limited for now, but we have been told more items will be added later on. We had ordered the pho and the cha gio (egg rolls). My companion had ordered the pho special, a bowl that is suppose to be their biggest size to accommodate all of the trimmings to go with the rice noodles. His bowl came out only half full, unlike most pho places around the country who give you a nearly-full bowl. I had ordered a small pho, which came out 3/4 full, better than my co-worker. The broth is more flavourful than Saigon (on Lakeland), and quite clear. That was a bonus. The accompanying condiments had the standard bean sprouts, basil, hot peppers, and lime. I do wish there was more lime for us to use, it seemed as though lime was divided into twelve segments and we were given two of the twelve. Our cha gio was alright. The filling was not as flavourful, and there were small pieces of taro in it. That's unusual. The cha gio was better when we dipped it into the fish sauce, and even better when we added sriracha to the fish sauce for more flavour. Service: This restaurant has a very friendly staff. Even though our food took a little longer than a standard pho restaurant to arrive, our water glasses were kept full, and the servers kept checking on us. Lots of smiles from them. I may not be back in this side of town any time soon, but it's a nice option to have when I am back. Note: I just found out this restaurant has been opened for just four days. My first time trying Pho and I gotta say it is pretty decent. I love Asian inspired dishes but as my first it is pretty decent not much love coming from the broth like it should be in my opinion the lady who cooked it says she learned from her family which is always a good idea when starting something like this I will be trying the others out around the area for sure ! The wait time was alright about 30-45 minutes until we got our food but I always say if it ain't fast food you already know it's going to be worth the wait :D but my spouse was getting hungry and couldn't wait much longer so eventually we did get our food. OH! The parking is horrendous it is very limited parking space we parked on the other side of the building near the grass (drive thru window almost) I got the Chicken Pho and she got the shrimp hotpot it looked pretty delicious and she said it was which was a winner lol I wanted to try some but unfortunately, I'm allergic to shellfish but hey maybe I'll get the beef version next time. My pho as stated didn't have much of a flavorful broth but it was decent you get a side of peppers/bean sprouts/ Thai basil / cilantro to put into your Pho. The chicken was kinda left out lol I had like 4 pieces for my large bowl. Other than that we will be back for sure to give it another try! read more
