We have been coming here for years and it just continues to get worse and worse. While they finally had Thai basil back, the cleanliness, lack of any customer service and quality are at an all time low. First, we ordered two kids rice & shrimp plates. For $8 each we received a scoop of rice and THREE shrimp. Not colossal sized shrimp, but like 41-50 sized shrimp. Three. I was utterly shocked. Thankfully I had ordered grilled shrimp bun, so I was able to give my kids all of my protein. I'm all about making a profit...but $0.60 in shrimp and another $0.60 in a scoop of rice...to charge $8.00 is absolutely shameful. THREE shrimp. I have never seen something like that in my life. 5-7 should be the absolute minimum when using 41-50 count shrimp. I have no problem ordering at the counter & seating ourselves, but it would be amazing if we were ever checked on during our meal. Like maybe, for a water refill?? It is pho, which is full of sodium and most people might need more than 12 oz of water during their meal. Don't even get me started on the bathrooms. The garbage cans were so full, trash was all over the floor. The toilets were absolutely filthy. If this is the cleanliness of the area the customers see, imagine the cleanliness of the kitchen. I am only giving that extra star because they happen to have some of the best pho broth of any pho in Solano County, but the negatives far outweigh the positives here. We have given this place chance after chance after chance and we are finally done. Oh, and they weren't making boba drinks last night either. Not because they were out of the supplies. Not because machines were broken. Just because they didn't want to. My boys were so disappointed as they were looking forward to their favorite treat after finishing their meals. Go to Pho Saigon instead, or to your favorite Thai restaurant for some noodle soup. I can guarantee a far better experience, quality ingredients, an attempt at customer service and a clean restaurant. read more

I was really looking forward to eating here. I had gone in few weeks ago for some crispy tofu, which was good. They told me the tofu and vegetable pho had veggie broth. Sometimes you just want some chicken soup during these unusually gloomy days in May. My go to chicken soup would be pho. During these times with the corona virus I find it easier to just buy yourself some siracha, tapatilo, Tabasco sauce, cholula (my fave) and order pho. Use your yelp app, check out the menu, and call in your order if they're local to you. Feel like boba? They have quite a few as well. Sometimes I just want a nice avocado shake or mango shake, they're pretty fast with that. This place is really close to where I live so it is definitely the go to Pho spot. It's never overly busy (when I've gone) and the service is fast and friendly. I usually always order the fried shrimp rolls as an appetizer && lately I get the bbq chicken with rice. This last time I had the bbq chicken and added shrimp.. it came out really good. This is a pretty solid pho place within the area. The restaurant is well lit and a pretty good size. Since they clear tables right after a group leaves, there is usually a very little or no wait time to be seated. You're greeted right when you walk in by the employees, usually the one who is closest to the door at the time. Service is pretty average. Servers don't usually come check on tables more than once during your visit. This is pretty typical of other pho places I've been to so it doesn't bother me at all. I usually order a small #2, which is their special combo beef broth with steak, brisket, tripe, tendon, flank, and beef ball. It also comes with rice noodles. It's very tasty on its own but I usually add my own garnish to it (thai basil, cilantro, bean sprouts, sriracha, and hoisin sauce). It doesn't have an overwhelmingly MSG flavorful nor is it too oily, which is a plus. I've also ordered their boba drinks, which is more of a smoothie shake with boba rather than a milk tea. My favorite to order is the lychee shake and the avocado shake. It's not too sweet but still has the distinct fruit flavor to it. The texture of their boba is only okay. Sometimes it doesn't seem cooked all the way because it's a little hard and flavorless a majority of the time. read more

We've been coming here since they first opened. Don't know why I'm just now writing about them. They're a chain all over the bay and this is #7 If I'm not mistaken. We adore the family that runs this place, quiet but they get the job done. The younger guy, he'a super sweet and remembers our daughter, and comments how much she's grown and is also so pleasant to strike up a convo. We order our fave pho/soup and have the option of different noodles, LOVE the egg noodle. Daughter gets their kid chicken noodle soup and tears it up. The sweet meat spring roll is also her fave, she forgoes the veggies and wrap of course. Lol love their seafood pho egg noodles, hubby likes their beef stew. We like it here and continue to go back, rainy days are best for Pho and can get busy. Prices are standard for pho restaurants. We come here more often than other Vietnamese joints in town. Go-to spot for for pho. The food is delicious and great prices. I always get the veggie pho with fresh tofu. They usually don't have veggie broth so it's chicken, but I don't mind. Food is always ready pretty quickly and the inside has a lot of tables to eat at if you're dining in with various sauces to add to your dish. Staff is always very efficient. Now that Yelp has given me the option of adding photos, I've been making sure to update my reviews with at least that. Tonight's dinner was just me & my mom, usually it's both my parents. We start off with the spring rolls, they both request fish sauce & I stick to the accompanying peanut sauce. YUMMY! A good way to start the meal, especially if you're starving. We do occasionally order the fried rolls, which are just as good. MY ORDER: a #2 or #14 small, with egg noodles HER ORDER: the #14 or #23 small, rice noodles HIS ORDER: either #29 small or a pork chops rice plate. My dad will actually change his order around, even though he sticks to the same numbers The small size is definitely good for just a one person serving but if you're hard to fill I'd say order a medium. I personally don't like drinking soup broth (yes I know weird, why order soup then) but my parents slurp it down like no tomorrow. I love adding a light touch of lime & Hoison sauce to my meals. Disclaimer: I've only ordered the #12 Beef Pho with Brisket. My go to when I'm craving pho. I eat here a couple times a month and the pho is always consistent. This place earns a very generous 3 stars for being one of like two places in Fairfield for Vietnamese food. Pho: I've tried both the Pho Ga (chicken) and Pho Bo (beef). They broth were on the bland side, but still edible. Hu Tieu Nam Vang: I will not be ordering this one again. The broth, once again, isn't very flavorful. I was not at all impressed with the meat that came with this order. The fish cakes in particular, was very disappointing. They were just thin, soggy pieces of meat. Rice plates: I got the Com Suon Nuong (grilled pork chop). They give a decent portion of food, but I really wished that the meat would've been cooked better and formed a caramelized crust. This was a decent dish that I would likely order again, although I've definitely had better. They have decent Vietnamese coffee and very good chè (Vietnamese dessert soup). I recommend the Chè Suong Sa Hot Lu. There's different types of grass jelly and tapioca in coconut milk. I'm normally not crazy about these desserts because they tend to be overly sweet, but they make it here with the perfect amount of sweetness where the "soup" isn't overpowering and every ingredient is just working together in perfect harmony. About the service, mostly everyone here seem to dread the work. They could definitely use to be a bit more attentive. There's been times when no one came around to do so much as refill our water the whole meal. But as far as Vietnamese food in this town goes, this place will do just fine. read more
