#3. Bun Bo Hue- Spicy Beef noodle soup
    Katelyn R.

Inexpensive, authentic, & friendly service. The pho & bun Bo hue broths were so on point, both served with a ton of meat, and so so so affordable for the portions. My BBH was not super red, broth was a bit sweet- not too much and was perfect for me. If I am ever here again, I would totally visit. I also got an avocado shake that was nice, smooth, & creamy.

Quick and courteous service. Had the beef rib and oxtail combo pho with Vietnamese iced coffee. Restaurant and bathroom were clean.

#43. Pho w/ Steak, Flank, Tendon & Tripe (small)

I was in the area and was craving a warm bowl of pho. Decided to visit Pho Saigon because it had great reviews. We were seated promptly and service was quick. We ordered a large beef rib pho and a small pho with steak, flank, tendon and tripe (#43). We received our order within minutes after ordering! Each bowl of pho had a good portion of noodles and meat toppings. The beef was tender and the broth was flavorful. Usually after eating pho, I'm super thirsty from the broth but the broth here tasted more "clean" and I wasn't dying from thirst all day. Overall, I'm very pleased with the meal here. It was really affordable for the amount of food you get and much cheaper compared to prices in other areas of the Bay Area. Will definitely come back here when I'm in the area again!

Decided to tap into my viet side today. Very pleased with this place. The small pho and a drink was the perfect amount of food to fill my big belly. The guy that served us was also very nice and made things easy for us. The only thing I would change was the guy I ate with, I'm pretty sure he's an Israeli spy. I'm onto him but he was acting a little strange while we were eating. Other than that, beautiful eats with even more beautiful people. Thank you pho Saigon.

SIMPLY AMAZING. Was passing thru town feeling hungover and stopped here and it was so delicious. The nem nuong was my favorite

Banh mi fried tofu with egg 2

OCT2025 Ordered delivery and it was close by. Always worth checking on banh mi to see if things stack up and have a good option for lunch after. I had gotten a banh mi with fried tofu and egg added, banh mi combo, and fresh summer roll. The fresh summer rolls were decent, tho I did like the peanut sauce that came with it. The banh mi were ok. Needed a bit more sauce overall for both and some balance issues. Or different bread needed. The tofu was much too big and there was no balance of ingredients. With the bread being what it is, it barely had anything of the pickled veggies in that one. The cold cut also bland and felt a bit empty of things. It was an easy ship but I'd likely try other things next time if getting stuff from here.

It's been a few years since I've been here, but it's super close to home now so I made the short drive one morning. I was surprised to see how much the inside has changed. I like that they have a sauce station by the door for your to go orders. I hate having to ask for sauce cups and things so that in of itself makes a difference. It's pretty dim inside. Maybe I'm old, idk. Same amount of tables but seems like they have more employees now. Some of the usual faces, some new. Even with more wait staff, the service is a little hit or miss. They were pretty quick with the food, but when my BF went to pay, he had to stand there for a good while while 3 (THREE!!) employees walked by him back and forth, without even letting him know they'd be right with him. I don't love that. Their menu is mostly the same, but they have added premium pho options (oxtail, beef ribs, etc) and they also have nem nuong on the menu too. You can get it in a spring roll or vermicelli bowl. I looooove nem nuong so I had to order the spring roll version, and I love that they didn't skimp out on the fried egg roll wrapper inside. Not only that, they serve it with actual nem nuong sauce, which is a bit more savory and glutinous in texture than peanut sauce. Their pho is decent. They're kinda skimpy on the herbs, but I love the chili oil they have on the table. FYI it's a little spicy, but the flavor is good. It's not strong on the lemongrass though, which I wish it was. My rice plate was a good size, and the egg roll was tasty and crunchy. I just wish it was thicker! :( I did see they've updated some of their banh mi options so I might those another try the next time. For the area, their prices lean on the lower end so they can get pretty busy. Don't expect fancy but the place is clean and tasty.

I've been ordering from here for decades. My Vietnamese mom often craves Bun Bo Hue and this used to be the only Vietnamese restaurant around that offered it. With the power of social media it has become a more popular dish with more and more Vietnamese restaurants adding it to their menu, but Saigon Pho still offers the most consistently good one. I hadn't dined in here in forever and one day my oldest said she was craving Vietnamese food, so we decided to stop by. We went in on a weekday at lunchtime and business was booming. The place is small, but ran really well and efficiently. We were sat within a few minutes and the food was ordered and came out just as quick. What we ordered: cha gio, two orders of BBH, soda chanh (fresh lemonade soda), and a café sua da (Vietnamese iced coffee). The drinks were perfect! Cha gio were a little small, but very good. I wish they served them with lettuce to wrap them in to dip into the nuoc mam. The bun bo Hue was super tasty and authentic with the pork hock and cube of blood. It came with a lot more meat than I remember. Like I feel like too much meat, but I guess that's personal preference. I'll remember to ask for more noodles and less meat next time! Finished eating and packed up to leave quickly as there were people standing and waiting for a table. Had to keep the train running smoothly lol.

Cute local spot. Bun Bo Hue broth is super flavorful. The noodle soup portions are super filling. Good for groups of 2-6. The staff are very kind as well. It's a very calming space with the warm lighting and the vibes Vietnamese music

This is a hidden gem in Fairfield. Everything was super fresh and authentic. The staff are all very friendly. The place was packed, but we got amazing service. Food came out super fast. The thai tea was perfect. Not too sweet. The music was a vibe and it was nice and clean inside. I also bought a jar of their lemongrass garlic chili oil...so bomb!! Go here if you want some authentic Vietnamese food!

    Welcome to Pho Sigon #1

Pho Saigon No 1 is a popular Vietnamese restaurant in N. Texas avenue in Fairfield. It has no fancy decor or atmosphere, but comfortable tables and seats. Modest prices, with well seasoned dishes, and adequate sizes. We came on a nice cool evening to grab some dinner. Their food and drink menu was simple and direct. I had a Com Tom Ga Nuong (Rice x grilled chicken and shrimp) with soup and milk iced tea. The food and soup were banal, lacks flavor and freshness. Moreover, both food and soup were lukewarm. Break my marbles! One can opine that there was no love and dedication in food quality they serve. I have been to a two dozen vietnamese places, and guess what? I know what's a mediocre food vs a great authentic cuisine. I was surprised when they served it in less than five minutes after ordering. If only they took time to warm it up more. But I reckon this is the type of place to get a quick in and out meal. Prices were very reasonable, hence, the locals liked it. Staff were cordial and competent. Overall, I think it's a decent Pho place for commoners. Given my dine-in experience I am reticent to recommend nor come back again.

We did the AYCE and I definitely got my money's worth. The service was courteous and prompt. The ambiance was typical for a K-BBQ spot- the open floor plan makes for a slightly louder place, but at least the music was not blasting so loudly that conversation was hindered. The menu has meat and other dishes that can be ordered a la carte, if all you can eat is not your thing. (Or if you don't want to have to grill your own meat.) We ordered: -Pork belly (regular, thin sliced, and soy garlic. All great, but the thin sliced has always been my favorite). -Marinated beef (tasty). -LA ribs (well marinated and not too salty). -Bulgogi and the Hawaiian bulgogi (the Hawaiian was good and I like the pineapple chunks to grill,, but preferred the regular because it was less sweet). -Shrimp (head and shell on, be prepared to peel and de-vein after grilling). -Marinated baby octopus (one of my son's favorite things he had there). Some highlights that will bring me back: -Sliced pickled radish to wrap the meat for a low carb option. -Glutinous rice paper to wrap the meat (nice and chewy texture, great touch to the marinated meat). -ALL of the banchan was spot on. Zingy kimchi, firm broccoli, not too sweet fishcakes, and seasoned bean sprouts were among our faves. -Last but not least, the crispy chicken wings. Crispy like Korean fried chicken should be with delicious sauces (we tried the sweet and spicy, and the soy garlic). Worth it to come back just for that. We will definitely be going back soon!

I'd want more of the mushrooms and greens though for the price of things. The tofu also were lightly fried with a thin starch on the outside which didn't travel well honestly. The chicken held up well though, still being crunchy. The seasoning was nice with bits of herbs shredded over it.
