As a smaller adult, I love having the option to order a more reasonable portion size, or to order a couple of smaller items so I can try more of the menu without ending up with too much food. The standout for me was the taro fries. I absolutely loved them. They were crispy, flavorful, and something I'd order again. They were also surprisingly good as leftovers the next day, which isn't something you can say about most fries. If you're getting takeout and won't be eating right away, these still hold up really well. Looks like I forgot to write an updated review for this restaurant for my recent visit to it about three weeks or so ago. I must write; it's a bit belated. It was a dine-in experience on a cold Saturday before a concert nearby. I told my date about this place where my take out experience a year or so ago wasn't so great and yet I had been meaning to give it a second try someday. My dine in experience (this time) was far better than my last one. It was around 5pm (like I said on a Saturday.) We just showed up without any reservation but were able to seat with no issue. The only thing was that we'd have 2 hours to finish our dinner which was told by the receptionist; this was no problem. By the way, she welcomed us upon arrival. Our waitress was also pleasant to us. She was attentive to our needs; we didn't lack any during our entire visit. He had a fried rice with chicken in it. This was very good (to say the least; great amount of seasoning but not salty.) My veggie stir fry dish was also exceptionally tasty; all the vegetables were fresh and crunchy. In other words, they weren't mushy at all. I could tell that they used fresh ingredients for everything we ordered (we also had the shrimp spring rolls.) I did remember from my first visit to here that the restaurant was very clean. That was the case for the night we dined. Based on this experience, my updated review this time is at least 4 stars. We will definitely go back and dine again because we want to try other things on the menu. We'll be sure to make a point to do so as soon as this month (January of 2025), if not, in February. read more

Have been to Zomos a few times before. They offer good a good fusion menu of Asian cuisine and Midwest American home style cooking. We were sat right away and moments later our waitress was at the table greeting us. We ordered the egg rolls for appetizers and I ordered the Yellow Curry with chicken (light spice) for my entree. The egg rolls came out pretty quickly and were very good. The dipping sauce was a great flavor to add to the egg rolls. Unnecessarily, they added Bibb lettuce and some veggies so you can make lettuce wrap with the egg rolls, I don't think this is a thing, but could be wrong. It was at this point, we were left for a good 30 minutes without anyone checking in or swinging by the table. Zomo was not overly busy so the wait for our entrees was a bit bizarre considering how quickly we were waited on in the beginning. When the food arrived, it was as delicious as ever. The coconut base of the curry paired so well with the chosen spices that I was equally happy when I realized I had left over for dinner the next night. Zomo is yum! I can't believe I let myself wait this long to try this place out. I've been depriving myself from some really good food. Apparently the owner is Vietnamese and her dishes stems from her roots. ZOMO is located on busy South Broadway in Englewood, but it has two parking options, and street parking was available. Be careful not to park in an unauthorized lot! We got on their waitlist early in the day, which made the whole experience terrific. Family-owned, ZOMO crafted a warm and inviting interior from a nearly 100-year-old structure. The entire vibe works well, mixing tables and booths, and the acoustics are enhanced by overhead panels. Our party of four had an excellent overall experience. They have an outdoor seating area in better weather, but not on this rainy night. Our server provided outstanding guidance and was both pleasant and knowledgeable. ZOMO has Coca-Cola products. We scored on our appetizer, ordering Kansas State Fair Eggrolls--three delicious items, and they're amazing! We selected chicken, and its ingredients (rice noodles, lettuce, peanuts, and bean sprouts) were enhanced further by a superb garlic sauce that the server recommended! I LOVED my entree of Lo Mein Chicken, an incredible dish with savory flavors that included yakisoba noodles, carrots, broccoli, cabbage, snow peas, and bok choy. I selected medium spicy, the second of four options. It was truly outstanding, and the spiciness was spot on. My Better Half also liked her Ba's shrimp entree. They have a two-hour table limit on busy nights and will notify you when you reach 1:45, but they did it tastefully and with class. I appreciated it. Kansas State Fair Eggrolls: These were some of the best Eggrolls I have ever had and it for sure helped that they were so fresh. I also loved that all the fixings come on the side too so each person can customize their Eggrolls. Jalapeño Wonton: If you know me you know I love a Krab/Crab Rangoon/Wonton and if they are on the menu they will be ordered. I loved the spicy take they did on them. Bahn Mi Bites: These were my favorite of the appetizers. Everything was great but these just stuck out to me that most. I have to say it was probably because this was the most original app and everything was just so fresh and crisp. Taro Fries: This was the one I stressed that we get and I clearly didn't read very far into them because they were different this I thought. (I literally thought I was getting some fancy Asian Fusion French Fries). These were very good though and great to share with a group since there are so many. We went on a Friday night + were quoted a 30 minute wait. We waited less than 20 minutes, so wasn't bad at all for a busy evening. Parking was an absolute nightmare - had to take the block twice + found parking behind the block by a bunch of homeless. My husband & I shared Jalapeño Wontons appetizer + Luc Lac entree. The appetizer came with two sauces that were absolutely delicious. The green sauce tasted like a jalapeño vinaigrette & the pink was a little sweet. A really nice touch to wontons! We had never heard of Luc Lac before but the pictures here on Yelp sold us. Wasn't exactly sure what to expect but let me just say ... I wanted to slurp the sauce off the plate that's how good it was. Seemingly such a simple meal with amazing flavor. Last to note was the interior; the decor was absolutely beautiful!
