Absolutely delicious! We got pho from here atleast 3 times while staying in the Farmington hills area, but every time was to-go, so I don't have any comments on the restaurant interior or service. The broth was served separate from everything else. It comes with cilantro, onions, hoisin (?) sauce, noodles, meat, basil leaves, jalapeño, bean sprouts, lime, spoon and knife, chopsticks, and a napkin! The noodles were always cold and stuck together when we finally got to sit down and eat, but I attribute that to ordering to-go and having to drive back to the hotel. Overall, this place is a legit Vietnamese restaurant! My hubs loves the regular pho with tai- rare eye round steak. We've only been here twice and I was really impressed by the broth and amount of meat that comes in each bowl. I don't typically get pho...if I can find it, I love getting the quarter chicken leg that is broiled. This time, I decided to venture out of my comfort zone and ordered the Bun Cha. It reminded me of a deconstructed pho/vermicelli bowl. It's similar to soba, where you take some noodles and dip it in the sauce. The meat (meatballs and pork belly), while the picture shows is separate from the sauce, was in the bowl, which was fine and tasted great. The noodles were on the side and sticky, so instead of taking little servings of the noodles at a time, I decided to dump them into the bowl of sauce. The dish also comes with lettuce, basil leaves and cilantro. The meatballs were full of flavor and seemed made in house (different from the standard meatballs that typically go in the pho). Service was quick and friendly. The only thing I noticed could be a bit better is the cleanliness of the restaurant. It's been so frigid cold lately and pho was just the right cure! It warmed us right up! My order was the chicken pho, I usually order the veggie. I really enjoyed the chicken pho, super pleasant broth with good depth of flavor. My dining companion ordered the beef pho, P6. Really deep and flavorful broth. I love adding the condiments and making each bowl your own. Of course, we ordered an abundance of spring rolls and they are so good! Crispy, chick full of ingredients and flavor. The dipping sauce is also delicious! They continue to work on sprucing up the place and they changed some of the facades and it looks nice! Lots of added color and finishes. I've had pho only a few times and was eager to try this place. Later in the evening, most guests were finishing up their meals when I dropped by. I had pho on my mind and thought ordering would be easy. Who knew there would be so many versions available - all involving combinations of beef? I went with the noodle soup with rare beef eye round steak. It was served with Thai Basil, sprouts, and jalapenos on the side so that guests could adjust how much flavoring and crunch they would like with their pho. I loved the freshness of the basil, the tender noodles, and the crunchy sprouts. The bowl was huge but wasn't too filling. However, I did not like that the noodles were clumpy. In addition to the pho, I had the spring rolls, a shrimp, pork, and veggie mixture wrapped and rolled like a cigar, and fried. It was so crisp and filling. And of course, I had to have the Thai ice tea, which was such a treat. Service was okay. It took a while before someone took my order or brought me my bill. Met my friend for lunch at Pho Lucky. She'd been there the day before and enjoyed the food so much, she wanted me to try it. What a treat! The Beef Pho was excellent with a rich broth and plenty of beef and vegetables. We also ordered the springs rolls, which were crunchy and flavorful. My friend had sampled the peach iced tea on her first visit and liked it so that's what I ordered. I'm glad I did. It was so refreshing and delicious. This restaurant is a very popular place. We arrived shortly after it opened, but it quickly filled up closer to noon. The service was good so the turnaround was reasonable. No one had to wait for a table. Met up with friends for dinner. We got lot of different items, but I did get P2, their regular pho with meat, along with summer rolls and autumn rolls to share. The autumn roll was good, enjoyed the crunchiness of the roll, definitely would recommend you give this a try. Was disappointed with their summer roll - made mostly with noodles (95%+) with a slice of pork and leaf lettuce. Their Pho broth was excellent, the best I had thus far amongst all the Pho places that I've visited. Service was quick and fast, food came out quickly. One of our favorite places to eat.. We were disappointed again that they were short of help, resulting in delayed and poor service. We went at about 1 pm and it was very crowded with only 2 servers. We had to request water, napkins, the usually included side dishes/ condiments, and the check. They didn't refill our water or come to check on us. Otherwise, the food was good. This has been my go to spot for pho with my daughter for the past few years. The food is always good and the service is just the same. We used to go more often, but I have been trying not to spend as much on dining out. I guess we have gotten to the point where the staff knows our order. We always order a P2 and a P7, Pho with rare beef for me and Pho with Meatballs for my daughter. They give you a plate with fresh herbs, jalapeño, lime, and sprouts to top the Pho. This may not be the top rated or fanciest pho in the world, but it has been very consistent and comforting. The rare beef is so nice and tender, the meatballs are bouncy and soft. The broth is always fragrant, especially with a bit of Siracha and hoisin. If I had any criticism it would be that the decor could be updated. Wonderful vegetarian pho! Really appreciate that they offer a vegan version. Got the option with tofu. The one thing I would change: more tofu. Onions sliced razor thin, generous amount of fresh basil, and plenty of bok choi, broccoli, carrots, and bean sprouts. Will definitely eat here again. read more

This location has different ownership than their other 3 locations and it isn't as good. They pan fry their meat instead of grilling. We drive right past it to go to the original location on Joy Road in Redford. The one on Woodward in Midtown is equally excellent and has more decor than a Vietnamese place usually has. They use white breast chicken meat. I tend to like more bean sprouts, basil and doctored up with some Hoisin and Sriracha to enhance the broth. On my insatiable quest to find decent pho, I stumbled upon Pho Lucky in Novi. There are 3 other locations in the Detroit area, but this one was the closest! Walking in, the ambiance felt like entering a regular comforting diner with very little hints of Vietnamese. The place was packed for lunch so thought it was a good sign. The waiter was clearly busy and just gestured toward empty seats which we unsurely took as "go sit down over there". We ordered spring rolls and a large bowl of pho dac biet. The spring rolls were modest size and the veggies were fresh. What really threw us off was the overwhelming fishy taste of the shrimp rolled inside. I love me some fish sauce, but it was definitely a different off flavor. The pho was alright as the broth was a tad lackluster to what I prefer. The brisket was a bit on the dry side and the tripe had that similar off fishy note resurface. Overall nothing to write home about. I am an avid fan of pho but this place has the best one out of all that I've tried so far and had been my favorite since 2014. Their grilled pork was also so delicious and came with a side salad and the dipping sauce. I was just a bit disappointed with their service because they weren't very attentive with my needs and kept forgetting about my requests (ex. water refill, extra fork, etc). Also, the order they served the food threw me off because they gave me the spring rolls after the main course arrived first and this was the first time that this happened to me. Funny I didn't feel so lucky. First time I've eaten at this place but I read the reviews and it was rated pretty high, a 4.4. someone close to me told me it was pretty good. Now keep in mind I've literally traveled to Vietnam twice just to eat pho and banh mi sandwiches. I've lived in San Diego near Little Saigon and I've eaten Pho all over the world, literally. I am not Vietnamese but I've eaten thousands of bowls of Pho in my life so I know a little bit about Pho now. With that being said in my opinion the broth was weak and it lacked flavor. It was very simple it just tastes like salt mostly. There was only a little meat in the soup. The noodles were oversoaked or overcooked and they were mush. For my whole table of four. The fresh vegetables that came out which was basil bean sprouts and jalapeno and lime were missing cilantro and culantro which is normal veggies served with pho in Vietnam and most other places in the United states. Overall the pho was very disappointing and I can make it better myself at home and mine's not that good. Also ordered a caphe sua da or ice coffee and I was disappointed that they brought it out from the back of the kitchen already made. I prefer to see my coffee slowly dripping into a cup of sweetened condensed milk and pour it over the ice myself. So that I can know it's made fresh and not sitting back there pre-made. The caphe sua da that was okay. The service was okay but every time I had a question or wanted to place an order or ask for a cilantro I had to get the attention of a server and basically get their help. Because they pretty much didn't pay attention to us. They were nice and polite though. While we were ordering we asked if they had extra large size and they specifically told us they only had regular and large sizes, no extra large. So we all ordered large and one reg. But when we got the receipt they all clearly said extra large and one reg which was very weird. I hate to seem cliche and say something like "well maybe this is the best you can get in Michigan" but I hope that's not true. Pho is not common in Metro Detroit and the choices are pretty limited. When my friend told me she has never had the delicious goodness that is a warm bowl of pho I knew we had to fix that. Pho Lucky is in a strip mall and gets busy during lunch time. We started with an order of autumn rolls. It's a crispy spring roll in a summer roll. The texture and flavor was excellent. Next up was the pho. I'm picky with the broth and prefer a darker, heartier broth. This was somewhere in the middle. Bonus points given to the myriad of flavors going on that all worked well together. My friend observed the sweet and savory flavors and how they blended. They were generous with the bean sprouts and sweet basil which is always appreciated. There was a good amount of meat in each bowl with the exception of tendon (which is my favorite). I wasn't feeling so lucky while eating here. While dining in and eating my appetizer I noticed a lot of gnats flying around. I was sitting there swatting the air. I had the shrimp fresh roll it was great. Peanut sauce was good. Waitress was really sweet, and fast. She was the only server, host, and carry out for the whole restaurant. It was really busy, all tables were full. Lots of people talking loudly. When my pho got to me, I was super excited to eat. Unfortunately the broth was a big let down. It tasted extremely watered down. I didn't get any spice/herb taste or ox tail taste that I usually look for in pho. The noodles were old tasting. Like they've been pre boiled and left to sit. They were also all broken up, not the usual long noodles that stay together when slurping up. I think I was on my second bite when I noticed gnats in my bowl of pho I notified the waitress right away, and she politely took my bowl and refunded me for the pho bowl. I get it. It happens, flies and gnats landing in the food is out of their control. However having gnats means something is rotting in the kitchen, or a lot of food are left out and exposed. But seriously, I did not realize how much I like Vietnamese iced coffee until I came to this place. I have been to few Vietnamese restaurant in Michigan and this is among the top places. I had pho with cooked beef (P6), (P2) and C1. The food quality is good and I liked the broth a lot. As always I couldn't finish the bowl, I have been trying that for a long time. Noodles without broth on its own doesn't taste that good so I would recommend going for those category of dishes if it's your first time. I would suggest to add hot sauce and red peppers if you like a bit of zing to your dish. Service is quick and excellent, I had no complains. Place is very clean and ambiance is good.
