Such a cute Japanese Market Place. We strolled around to check out the place, it's cute clean and small but with good variety of Asian produce, condiments, snacks, fish, etc! We dined at the Marketplace for lunch. The service was pretty decent! Ordered using the QR code and dined there. There's no table service. We got the sides: rice with miso soup, Pork Katsu, Some type of grilled Salmon and Udon Noodle Soup. The food was great with reasonable pricing! The portion felt more Asian size. Not too huge which we loved. Definitely going to be back to try their Sushi Nigiri and Shasimi. Do stop by, you won't be disappointed!

If there ever was a place w/a space time distortion-- it's this supermarket --- u walk in past noon for a bottle of sake (huge collection) and leave out n it's dark out--with a cart full of snacks u may not like-- but looks cool--service is top tier n can feel the workers enjoy the place ----has an in store restaurant w good sushi--

Wow what a find! My husband found this and we tried their sushi and it was delicious!!! I also ordered the beef bowl and it was sooo good! Their rice and flavoring of beef was perfect. The seating area is small but thankfully we were able to get a spot. There is no water offered. The bathrooms were surprisingly clean!! They have a good selection of snacks and I found some Miffy stuff! We are definitely returning here.

I wish there was a store like this in West Michigan! We drove out to Novi for the day because I was craving an onigiri. DISCLAIMER: they do not have fresh onigiris from what I seen. Many snacks, green tea matcha, beverages, beauty supplies, fish and much more to buy! There are gachapon mini claw machines! There are fresh foods prepared in the left back corner of the store. Very clean inside and bright. There is a little place where you can grab a quick bite in the left back corner of the store. I wanted their pair plushie keychains (two magnetic plushies in a pair) that were adorable!

I really like this place! I came in just looking for rice flour, but I was really impressed by the variety of all the fresh meat/produce, frozen things, bakery items, snacks, etc., and also the amazing sushi assortment! They have a vast array of ready to go sushi/salad etc. and you can also order any sushi, curry rice, soup, etc from their little restaurant. And theres tables to eat at too. It was a really nice surprise and we've been back a few times to pick up dinner.

I ordered the spicy California and shrimp tempura with miso soup on the side. Rice was cooked to perfection and the California was so generously stuffed with avocado. I always recommend ordering from the menu rather than the refrigerated to go sushi.

Not just your average grocery sushi, but the best Japanese grocery store in Michigan grocery store sushi. Glad they opened up again to dine in post covid. Thinking it's also new ownership but the sushi quality has been maintained with the change of owners. Don't let this place being inside One World Market full you. The food quality is great for the price you pay. Very limited on your drink options but again, you're not going here for the drinks! It's SUSHI OR BUST! Small Japanese market with a great selection of ready to go sushi and sashimi. I like both their rolls and sashimi. Decent quality and reasonable prices. It tastes fresh. I don't recommend the lunch sets though. Tried that once with the mackerel and it was dry and not fresh. They offer chopsticks and extra soysauce packets at the register if needed. You can pay and eat at their cafe in the back too or order other dishes made to order for dining. There's also mini claw machines that are $1 to play near the entrance. Additionally, they sell cute little plush keychains and mini photo keychain albums but they're pricy.

Food and service are still the best choice for sushi, matched by their original Nobel location. The 2 stars are for the environmental unconscious management. The self serve water and tea has been replaced by plastic bottled water. I rather pay the $1.25 for good old Detroit City tap water please. Also very disappointed to no longer have the option for the green low sodium soy sauce. The glass bottles of soy have been replaced by a super inconvenient and messy box of soy sauce packets.

One World Market is a staple and I have been coming here for years. I love stopping in to grab their pre made sushi to go. It's always very fresh and has remained reasonably priced over the years. It is one of the few places in Michigan that I trust for raw fish! It is frequented often by local Japanese so you know it's good!

Ordered a one world tray and a couple of salmon bowls for pickup during Christmas week and order was ready on time. Staff was nice and ordering was a simple process using an ordering sheet. All the sushi was delicious and portion size was great for the bowls. Great quality fish inside of a grocery store, highly recommend. They recently got a few tables for indoor seating as well.

Good sushi, they have a little restaurant inside. Grocery is kinda pricey but good selection of Japanese goods. I think because of weak Japanese yen currently, some snacks and ramen prices didn't change much. Local produce and products on the other hand has prices increase. Premade sushi used to be under $10 even at large rolls but now Shrimp sushi rolls are like $11.50.

Are there any Japanese supplements sold here like caiapo?

We sell Sato Pharmaceutical supplements but we do carry Caiapo.

What kinds of ramen noodles/soup packets in the store are vegan? I'm looking to expand the variety I eat but often cannot read the labels of certain products and don't want to risk it in case they're not actually vegan.

Go to the store and ask the staff there they gladly answer your question

I know you have fantastic sushi, but do you sell sushi-grade fish for those people who want to try making sushi at home?

    Yes,llll

Do you sell any fresh chili peppers such as Thai or Piri-Piri peppers?Looking for a source for fresh hotpeppers.

    I hope you

We have a Japanese Student. She told me how important New Year is in her family. She discussed boxes of food, sort of like Bento boxes, that her family has for NY's with 50 different dishes. Does anyone know where I can buy such boxes?

Hi Kelly, it sounds like your student is talking about Osechi-ryōri. While we don't make prepared Osechi Jubako (boxes) at the store we do have several variety of Osechi ingredients in stock.

Can you do gluten free sushi?

We do not sell gluten free sushi but we do have some gluten free items in the store so you can make your own sushi at home.

I was told this was a good place to order BBQ brisket? Is that still on the menu with the argentine sausage?

Don’t feel bad Justin, I’m sure lots of folks assume that a sushi restaurant will carry Argentine cuisine (note sarcasm lol), but I just checked the menu while I was there and can confirm a solid ‘no’ on the brisket and sausage. Darned good sushi…

Do you still have "sit down dinner" service between 4 and 6PM ? A few months ago, you cancelled sit down dinner service and made it carry out only....

Yes, our sit down dinner service is back! The dining area is open 11:00 - 2:00 and 4:00 - 6:00 pm. Hope to see you again!

What time do they put sushi in the refrigerated area? I've tried coming at multiple times during the day from 1pm to 7 and it's always barren

We put out our first batch of sushi at 9 AM and we will do our best to maintain a stocked pre-packed sushi cooler throughout the day. Keeping the cooler full is a major concern of ours and we are in the process of restructuring in order to better…

Do you sell fresh any mochi?

We sell a wide variety of Mochi! Frozen, pre-made and all the ingredients to make it yourself.

Can I buy a whole side of salmon?? If so do I need to pre-order?

Yes you can, please call at least a day in advance.

    Do they sell dry ice?

    No, we do not.

Does this place make their own sausage and could they make me some Argentina sausage?

Hello R.T, We are a Japanese grocery and Sushi restaurant, we don't make sausage here. Unless you are asking about pre-made fish sausage?

I will take better pictures next time I'm there. They have a wide beautiful assortment of nuts, fruit and vegetables. There are rices, flour and coffee k didn't know existed. They did have some fresh produce, a tiny bit of meat and many aisles packed with food. It appears that they do plan to have a bakery area, prepared foods and meats. The reason for only 2 stores is that the prices are insanely high. Six dollars for a box of cereal? And most other goods that I see in other stores were at least a dollar more than elsewhere. But, I will say, that if you want middle eastern goods, you will undoubtedly find them here. Rows and rows of all kinds of beans and rice and lots of things I'm completely unfamiliar with. I do think they should have waited for their soft opening until they were actually more prepared for customers; they did have one checkout open, and the young man was friendly enough, but it felt eerie walking around a mostly empty store while constantly meeting paths with 3 obvious business owners who were discussing matters in their native language as they walked around with clipboards and such, taking notes and commenting on the goods (from what I could tell). It just didn't feel very welcoming at this point.
