This is a Strange Review but I'm hoping that this Review is Educational. I've been to Vietnam and I'm about to Visit again! The problem with this restaurant is Simply Cultural, because Most of the Staff doesn't Speak English! I believe They should Have Translators to help communication or the Staff is gonna Call Mom and she does Speak English! Before I go on, I must say The Food was Excellent and I had Pan Fried Vegetarian Noodles with Tofu and It was Delightful. The Noodles...Oh, the Noodles were Cooked exactly like I Love...Nice and Crispy! I tried to Tell them that's How I wanted the Noodles prepared but the language Barrier prevented that from Happening...So, I took a chance and that turned out Great...Whew! But, no one checked to See if I was Enjoying my Meal (probably because I was Stuffing my Face) and No one bothered to Remove my Plate! In fact, at the end of my Meal, no other Customer was in the Restaurant and Staff didn't Bother to make Eye Contact or Look my way! And, of Course I had to ask for my Bill too! All tables should have Contact at lease 2 or 3 times per Visit. Staff shouldn't be Allowed to play with phone or Turn their Back to Customers...Young People, what are you gonna to Do! Last, for those Reasons I didn't leave a Tip...because in Vietnam there's No Tipping...I felt like I was in Nam! There are better Vietnamese spots in town. I was really craving some mi xao gion and was excited to try it. However the sauce was so bland. I got the combination one where it's beef, chicken and shrimp. The meat was super tough. My husband likes bo luc lac, so we ordered that. It's rare that a place makes it correctly. Theirs was also really bland as well. It does not have the flavor profile of bo luc lac, not even close. The meat should be tender too, however it was tough. We didn't try the pho, and I wish we did. We came across Pho Luu because it is in the same center as a Tesla charging station. Three important factors as to why I am writing this review are as follows. 1. FOOD - amazing! Fresh and delicious. Half the table had meat and the other veggie. We all left happy and satisfied. 2. SERVICE - friendly and welcoming. All the staff was kind and went out of their way to ensure we had a great experience. Went two weeks ago on a Saturday and the service, food and prices were great. We ordered bun bo hue (5/5) and it was exceptional! We also ordered fried spring rolls (3/5) and a vermicelli bowl (4/5). Although it was busy on the Saturday that we went, they checked on us often to make sure we had what we needed. We went again on a Friday night, and although it was slow, customer service was lacking, as well as the flavors and quality of the food. I ordered a vermicelli bowl (3/5), and spring rolls (3/5) to share. Both were just ok--definitely not worth trying again. I have a feeling they add a lot of msg to their dishes, as I got a headache on this visit as well as last time. We also noticed the prices increased by a couple or a few dollars for many menu items. Things to note: -I don't think they turn on their AC when the weather is warm, which may have an effect on both their staff and patrons. - There is one bathroom, and it is well maintained. - Parking is slightly challenging on a weekend, but is fine on a Friday night. There are also many Tesla chargers in the same parking lot. - Their restaurant walls are a slightly bright blue color, which might feel overwhelming for some patrons. - They have many tv's on display showing interesting shows about international food and Vietnam.
