I've come to this pho place 3 times already & as you can already tell, I'm obsessed with this place! The first time I came to try this place was because it was recommended by my client as the best pho place in Escondido, and you know I had to stop by if it's the hype place. I took my parents here and everyone loved their own dishes they had! Parking is spacious and it's located in a really open-spaced plaza. Inside, it's very clean and bigger than expected. Service is fast & suuuper friendly. Like they're very attentive to you. I ordered the P1 small and I think my hubby ordered the P6 large. My mom got the Crispy Egg Noodles with seafood and I believe my dad got the beef or pork rice dish. Food rating: P1 - 5/5 AMAAAZING BROTH, no seasoning and still the freshest beef flavored broth I've had in a long time. Very balanced meat to noodles ratio. Crispy Egg Noodle w/ Seafood - 4.5/5 very yummy! I was delighted that it came out fresh and the noodles were still very crispy even after sharing it for a while throughout our dinner. Pretty good portion for sharing but maybe even good enough for one person depending how hungry you are. BBQ Beef Banh Mi - 3.5/5 the BBQ beef was seasoned very well and cooked perfectly! Not too chewy and overcooked. My only dilemma is that the bread and sandwich size is a bit small. I shared this with my husband and it was perfect for eating 1/2 a Banh mi and eating my small pho with it. Try this pho place out! The workers are all so nice and even give free Taro coconut sampler desserts each time you visit. It's a wonderful surprise and the service here never disappoints. So it very rare to see the owner of a business try so hard to set things right. The owner (a very nice man) reached out several time to try to set things right. This is more than most businesses will ever do. He apologized for the bad experience and explained to me about the dessert. He was very sincere and invited me back to meet with him, which I did. Best Bun Bo Hue in Escondido! This is such a convenient spot located right in the plaza with the Tesla chargers. Perfect place to grab a meal while you wait. You can tell this used to be a KBBQ spot because of the grill tables. The interior is now super clean and modern. What we ordered: Egg Rolls: We went with the half order (3 pieces). They are a bit smaller than your average egg roll, but they are dense, meaty, and very tasty. Bun Bo Hue: The Spicy Beef Noodle had the traditional cut of meats including the blood cube and pork hock. The broth was a bit light initially, but once I added the house sate chili oil, it was perfect. Com Tam (Broken Rice) with Grilled Pork: The marinated pork was the highlight here. Everything went well on our first visit to this restaurant. We found them on Yelp and was highly-rated. So, we dropped in. Service was professional and friendly. We ordered the Fried Spring Rolls, Shaking Fillet Beef rice plate, Grilled Chicken Pan Fried Noodles and Grilled Chicken Crispy Chow Mein. The menu had interesting offerings as well as traditional ones. The Pan Fried Noodles were battered wide flat vermicelli noodles. All dishes were flavorful, too. Pho is our go-to for hangover.. so we looked up pho places.. when we saw this one in Escondido and close to home.. we looked it up and it looks like it recently just opened, so we decided to try it out. When we got here, it has a nice big open lot so there's plenty of parking so u don't have to worry about parking. There's also a Tesla charge station if u need to charge your car.. there's also other businesses around too. when we got in the pho restaurant, it's a nice open spacious area. They have old school music playing in the background which sort of puts me back to my younger years of listening to Celine Dion.. on the walls they have TVs showing different soups or dishes from Vietnam. I explained to my boyfriend what some of the words meant as he also observed around the pho restaurant.. we ordered 2x P1 ( pho combo) and 2x Vietnamese coffee.. the food and coffee came out pretty quick which was great, cause I was hungry. we were happy that this place actually have dipping sauce without having to request for it! Which was awesome for me because I don't need to speak broken Vietnamese to request for it. I started putting my concoction together when the server came over and asked us how's the food or if we need anything.. honestly, I haven't tried it yet.. and thanked him.. after putting my concoction together (dipping sauce).. our first thought upon sipping the pho broth.. it was definitely made different than other pho places (while other pho places use more aromatics for their broth) this pho broth was coming more from the meat. Try it out and see how this broth differs from other pho places. To each their own.. Also the tripe here is made better and does not have that rubbery like texture when biting/chewing it like some other pho places.. Oh and not to mention the worker/owner here are all very friendly and sweet! Love the atmosphere here.. After we finished our food, the lady that greeted us when we first walked in asked my significant in viet something but he didn't respond so I told her he's Vietnamese.. so she asked if we need to-go containers for our pho.. and I said yes, please.. we exchanged couple more words before going on our way.. as we were leaving it looks like they were about to have a car show or old school car meetup.. given that we had other arrangements we could not stay for it.. The most flavorful pho I've had in a long time! It's hard to find good broth but this one didn't need anything added to it. I walked in and ordered to go and the wait wasn't long. The staff were friendly and there were plenty of tables to sit at. I ordered the rare steak and brisket pho which was excellent. My friend got a beef entree which she said was delicious. Nice, clean, and roomy restaurant. It just opened in the same lot as the Tesla charging stations, so it's actually a perfect spot to grab pho and a coffee while your car charges. Of course they offer a variety of different options for Vietnamese cuisine and specialty tea/boba drinks. Prices are good too unlike most pho places charging $18+. The lady helping me was really nice and attentive, and the food came out in less than 15 minutes. I ordered the special combo pho and the broth came out blazing hot, exactly how I like it. Came here on a Saturday night and it was BUSY. Don't be fooled by my photo, because as soon as we sat down, those seats were filled too. The pho is really good. Better than the local chain and long-standing Vietnamese restaurants nearby. If you know, you know. My only complaint would be with the service. They took forever to take our order, served tables that came after us first, and we sat around waiting forever for the bill until we just got up and asked to pay. It's really slow service compared to other places. I'm not letting this impact my review because it's the grand opening and they're still working out the kinks. This place is a hidden gem. I can honestly say it's the best Viet food in all of San Diego. We usually have to go to Orange County for legit viet flavors but finally one opened in Esco. It's family owned so you can taste the love in the food and they are all very sweet and attentive. Our fave spot in town! We've tried everything on the menu at this point and we come here at least once a week. There's not one dish that isn't made to perfection. Even the banh mi is absolutely delicious!!! This is a Strange Review but I'm hoping that this Review is Educational. I've been to Vietnam and I'm about to Visit again! The problem with this restaurant is Simply Cultural, because Most of the Staff doesn't Speak English! I believe They should Have Translators to help communication or the Staff is gonna Call Mom and she does Speak English! Before I go on, I must say The Food was Excellent and I had Pan Fried Vegetarian Noodles with Tofu and It was Delightful. The Noodles...Oh, the Noodles were Cooked exactly like I Love...Nice and Crispy! I tried to Tell them that's How I wanted the Noodles prepared but the language Barrier prevented that from Happening...So, I took a chance and that turned out Great...Whew! But, no one checked to See if I was Enjoying my Meal (probably because I was Stuffing my Face) and No one bothered to Remove my Plate! In fact, at the end of my Meal, no other Customer was in the Restaurant and Staff didn't Bother to make Eye Contact or Look my way! And, of Course I had to ask for my Bill too! All tables should have Contact at lease 2 or 3 times per Visit. Staff shouldn't be Allowed to play with phone or Turn their Back to Customers...Young People, what are you gonna to Do! Last, for those Reasons I didn't leave a Tip...because in Vietnam there's No Tipping...I felt like I was in Nam! I truly Hope I won't feel like I'm Being ignored in the Future because This Could Be A Great Option for Escondido! I loved those Noodles and I'm not Angry...just a little Disappointed. Grand Opening: Newest pho restaurant in Escondido is worth a try! The decor is simple, clean and cute. The pho here was some of the best pho I've had in all of San Diego! I heard the chef in the kitchen has worked at some of the best pho restaurants in both Vietnam and San Diego for years. My family and I tried a little bit of everything from their menu. Note worthy items: their pho is what you come here for! Their fresh spring rolls are a healthy, light and filling appetizer. We loved the crispy noodles with veggies and beef. Not oily at all. Lastly their Thai tea with boba and Vietnamese grass jelly with coconut cream top is addicting ! Pretty good. I've been looking for a good pho place closer to Escondido. Now there's one right in the same complex as the Escondido Tesla supercharger! The pho was pretty good. I still prefer Pho Cow Cali in Mira Mesa but this one is definitely a strong second in my book. The egg roll was okay I thought. Not bad but nothing to write home about. I did like that it came out crispy and piping hot as it should but it was a little greasier than it should have been. But I can't wait to try some of their other dishes.
