After learning that this place was under new ownership since we've been over a decade ago, we decided to give this place another try and it did not disappoint. Walking in, we were greeted right away and seated. Wasn't too busy for a Saturday night around 7:30pm. The decor was more modern, with a really cool city mural painted on the wall. Our server was friendly, quick and efficient. He was an older man with a good sense of humor which we loved. Our party of 3 ordered various beef pho's. We were all happy with our soups, hot, tasty, delicious with all the fixings. Definitely satisfied our pho cravings. We ordered our taro boba drinks and Vietnamese coffee to go. The taro smoothie was delicious, however the boba in it was a bit hard. The coffee was also delicious. It was a really good visit and happy to have returned. Stopped by during a hot day. Oddly enough I ordered pho. Went with their #13 which is their special with all the fixings. Came hungry left full and dripping of sweat. I wasn't complaining though. I really enjoyed my meal. Especially the iced water with a sliver of lime. The pho, was perfect and very flavorful. I was helped by a two man team. Friendly, efficient and quick. If it was in the broth, it means it's technically contaminated everyone's pho. If this is the level of hygiene at this place, imagine what else could be happening in the kitchen. What was worse was their reaction to my complaint. They kept saying they'll make me a new pho without even apologizing like that's gonna make up for it. We ended up here because Bahn Mi San Marcos was closed next door. Are they related? My manager and I were greeted and seated right away for a Tuesday lunch. We are both vegetarians and they have a section of their menu for us, which I like when restaurants make it easy like that. I ordered the vermicelli noodle salad and my manager ordered the fried rice. We both enjoyed our meals and finished it all! I thought the veggie eggrolls were great along with the noodles and fresh veggie. The bowl of fish sauce was the perfect amount; I dumped it all in! One of the best pho places in north county. After moving here, I've been looking for a pho place similar to one near my home before. They have a cool fish tank by the cashier. The place seems to be here for a long time now. The floors are a little sticky in the bathroom. There were multiple tvs with different channels playing. Their egg rolls are alright. We often take friends to try it and our last visit, he was rolling his eyes and looked visually irritated that we weren't rushing to eat. You know this was a very unexpected find for me. I was initially thinking banh mis and yelp led me to the place next to this...but we were leaning towards noodles and ended up going into this place. Only one other table was present (this was about 11am ish). I got the BBH which was a decent choice. The broth was tasty and it had plenty of ingredients: pork blood, pork loaf, no pig hock tho, some other meats. The broth could use more shrimp paste or at least that's what I prefer. Noodles were definitely overcooked though... near mushy texture. Overall, it tastes good but there were some misses with the bbh.
