Unusual light fixtures added to the cool ambiance.

Most Vietnamese or Pho restaurants I've been in have plain décor--just your standard café-style atmosphere. But people frequent those places to eat pho and don't care as much about the number of statues or paintings and aren't as picky about the service. That was the great thing about Pho Mekha. It's not your usual Pho restaurant; this place has some style. I loved the atmosphere. All the unique décor actually added to my dining experience. In addition, the staff was friendly and attentive. And, of course, the pho was fantastic. Big bowl, great broth, even b4 adding fresh basil and sprouts. Some of the best pho I've ever had. As a bonus, it's centrally located to many hotels, restaurants, and bars, and so, it's easy to find. I would not hesitate to return to Pho Mekha next visit to the wonderful river city of Astoria.

Pho here was excellent; I got beef pho, and my family got chicken. This really hit the spot, since we had just driven in from Portland, and it was slightly drizzly and cooler than we expected. Service was pretty good, as was the hot tea, and the decor was unique and kitschy. Definitely recommend!

You will not be disappointed! 5/5 very clean, feels like we're at home almost. Quick with the food, the beef had tons of flavor and was nice and crispy as well. Very nice and humble staff.

Vegan pho - soooo yummy! Perfect size to split

We love coming here for their vegan pho! So flavorful, environment is bright and tastefully decorated. Always seem to be served by the same guy, kind and funny soul. Appreciate spots like this! We got the pho and split it - love that it has minimal if no oils too-score!

    Beef Stew - awesome!

What a great addition to Astoria! Truly authentic and amazingly good food and SO much more than just pho. I had the beef stew with a salted lemonade ( which was delicious) and can't wait to come back to work my way through the menu. The service is fast and friendly, the atmosphere calm and eclectic, and you would be missing out to pass this place by.

After years of working in the Seattle Metro area, which is flush with great Asian restaurants, I retired here in Astoria. As much as I adore nearly everything in Astoria, it is sadly lacking great Asian options. Especially pho. Until now. I've been anxious to try out this new restaurant. I'm a purist, so it's beef pho with all the trimmings (tendon, tripe, flank) and a plate of lime wedge/jalapeno slices/bean sprouts. #36 on the menu is the ticket! As I was seated they politely brought out a pitcher of cool cucumber water (with a cucumber, yes). The pho did not disappoint! Fantastic broth, as good as my favorite back in Seattle! Yay! Noodles perfectly cooked. Yummy tendon and generous amounts of tripe. Absent from the table was chile paste and fish sauce, but the hoisin and 'cock sauce' (sri racha) was there. Prices were a little high; so that kept me from being adventurous and trying the wings or the spring rolls. And the special Vietnamese drinks were really expensive so I stuck with water. But I was absolutely delighted with the meal! It was PhoNomenal! (cmon, you knew that was coming) I'll be back, pho sure!

I have a new favorite restaurant in Astoria. Fantastic new pho restaurant. The menu has a lot more than just pho. There are lots of Vietnamese delicacies. So tempting that I can't say I've tried pho yet! Super bright, open space with lots of widows, and just amazing food. Friendly, personable staff. You need to go! It's so good!

This is what's left over when your belly is full of pho, and the leftover soup is a little too spicy because you put hot chili oil in it.

The food was very good. I very much liked my pho, and I think my mom liked her noodle dish as well. The ambiance or the music and the decor was very nice also. There was an interesting light at each table that depicted a different scene something I had never seen in any other restaurant. The service was also very good and staff was by our table almost every 3 or 4 minutes, it also helped that they were very busy so they had to walk around a lot. This seems like a new restaurant and I hope they are able to I guess make it or have success. I also liked the ice cold cucumber water with a large slice of cucumber in it.

The best Vietnamese place I've had in Oregon!! I love how they have an option for soup on the side. It was so flavorful. Very fun inside as well, great for date nights or family nights. I would come back here again to try their other dishes.

An absolute delight! Driving through during Astoria visit and saw Pho Mekha after a few site tours. Courteous welcome and given the option to seat anywhere available. Food is remarkable! Ordered fried rolls and the combo pho. Will return on my next visit with family. A must especially when craving something warm during the cold weather. Great Vietnamese food!

This place blew my mind, and possibly ruined all future pho for me. I'll be dreaming about this place until I can return to Astoria again.

That said, I've eaten it ordered from ladies squatting next to rocket stoves on the street...and I want my Thai properly spiced, like my eyelids oughta sweat. American Thai food is adjusted to our tastebuds. So, I typically get it as hot as I can, and add my own chili dust. Folks, I have met my new go-to Thai! They offer spice levels one through five. I ordered it a six. The server told me she could adjust it up to a nine spice level, if I needed that. Um, no ma'am! Six is delightful! Phad Thai tends to accentuate the savory and sweet in most presentations. Not so, this savory, crunchy, tart, and fiery masterclass in Thai noodles! It was incredible. I cannot wait to go back and put myself at the mercy of their amazing presentations of what many will visually recognize as "Thai"......but your tastebuds are in for a treat! This is a destination food truck, people! Wow. I decided, on the strength of the Phad Thai, I should taste the Thom Kha Gai I ordered before I chilled it for my intended lunch tomorrow...... Yeah, so Dee Dee has spice DOWN! Her food also has the delightful flavor layering I love most in really good SE Asian food. The mushrooms in the soup? Buttery, and perfectly cooked. A delightful springiness. The tomatoes are bright and soft. The onions still have body, and onion flavor........and there's a lot of lemongrass and galangal floating around in there! Like the other entree, the Thom Kha is super special. I'm so glad this is a local option for me......my belly has a delightful burn, my lips are only slightly numb, and I'm really content with my Thai tea and mango juice. Love this place already.

Our server was also just right. I got the Negroni melone because I'm a sucker for Negronis. It was decent, though it would have been much better with a gentleman's cube. The hubs got a blood orange cocktail that was really yummy. We started with the ricotta and preserved tomato crostini, which was excellent! Hubs ordered the sablefish and I ordered the ravioli with chard. Both were fantastic! The sablefish was exactly, perfectly cooked. It had skin on, but easy to eat without if you're not into that. Ah, so good! The ravioli was so delish! The only thing missing was a sip of limoncello at the end of the meal, which you'd receive in Italy, but otherwise deliziosa!
