I was impressed by the speed of food preparation, from sitting down to having our meal in less than 10 mins. I wish all restaurants can be as speedy as this one! We ordered shrimp roll appetizers, Saigon style pho and the chow fun (stir fried wide rice noodle). Everything is on the spot and delicious. Some reviews mentioned bad experience, but that was not the case anymore. Tasty food, great and fast service in a small town not known for any Vietnamese food. I'm happy with the dinning experience!

They judge the people and the service varies accordingly. The don't offer things required to eat food equally to all guests. The server didn't even came to take our order until we called her. And didn't even apologize because she skipped us. Just bcuz we were hungry we had the food, we didn't have another option. Food taste great and delicious. But not good service at all. If the person walks in, they can afford the food and should be treated equally irrespective of anything.

Ordered two items before visit the national park . We had Bun Bo Hue and Curry fried rice . The BunBoHue only had spicy flavor ,and that was it . The beef flank was only had small pieces and the ham taste weird . The curry fried rice felt like just put curry powder over steam rice . I won't recommend this place for anything

New Saigon offers Vietnamese food for a reasonable price and a minimal wait. FOOD: The bahn mi, vermicelli bowl, and Thai tea were standard. It is reliable, satisfying and affordable. While it's not something you'll necessarily remember, a massive fountain drink was like $2. Com'mon now! VENUE: Pretty, recently remodeled. Lots of tables, both indoors and out front. There's free street parking and you can glimpse the water if you have a stroll afterwards. Many TVs and a nice-looking bar. It's great to have another alternative to the typical American lunch in Port Angeles!

Stopped by this pho shop while visiting the Olympic national park. The restaurant is really large and has a lot of tables and space so we were able to get a table fairly quick during the lunch rush. For the main I had the regular size beef pho, which was very very well made and quite filling , I definitely would not have been able to finish the larger size. To drink I had the mango bubble drink with tapioca pearls. The mango flavor felt a little fake and made of syrup (vs natural fruits ) but it was nonetheless refreshing and fun to drink. Great spot for quick lunch with great service

Pho #17 (I think!). We usually get 16 or 17.

We go quite often, so my review is based on my being a local. Food is consistent, nice portions. Service is good (they never bring small plates for shared appetizers, so you have to ask). Once your food is served, they don't bug you to death with "check-ins." Ambiance is good - nothing fancy, just basic Asian decor. It's always clean!

Not very clean environment. Busy. The wait for the food took awhile, but maybe it was just a busy night for a short staffed crew? The food was okay. Location was good. If I was hungry, it wouldn't be my first choice for a quick service.

Outside may look very basic but indoors has comfy seats and an open feel. Recommend the Udon Bowl--try it at spice level 1 even if you normally opt for 0 spiciness (it's a sweet-spicy) and choose bulgogi beef if you like a smoky leaner meat or the pork belly if you're craving more of a rich fattiness. Also check the drinks fridge as you walk in--they have some choices you may not see on the menu such as Mexican Coke.

TLDR: Me and my partner got food poisoning from the chicken sandwich and had to call multiple times…read moreover the course of two weeks to get a partial refund from the owner. Me and a group of friends (8 total) were visiting the Olympic peninsula for a camping/backpacking weekend and stopped by Midtown on a busy Friday night and were quickly seated. The food tasted good and we had great service during our visit. Since we were a large group, and already had shared expenses for the weekend, when asked about the check we offered to put everything on one tab to save time. Later on that night however, after we had set up our tents at our campground, my partner began to experience intense stomach pains which turned into full blown food poisoning. I spent the next several hours helping them, before I also got sick. It was at this point we realized that it was from the chicken sandwich my partner had ordered at Midtown, since I had eaten her last remaining bites of the sandwich and this was the only food we shared that other members of our group had not also eaten (we all shared food at lunch earlier in the day). My partner and I essentially spent the night in the campground bathroom (we are extremely lucky they had one). The next morning we were feeling depleted, dehydrated, and decided to head home to recover while the rest of the group continued on the trip. We spent the rest of the weekend trying to get food down. I called Midtown the next business day and let them know what happened for their awareness mostly. They thanked me and told me their policy is a full refund if something like this happens and that the group should expect it soon. We didn't hear from them or get notification of a refund so we reached out a week later and they said they forgot and now the owner would only provide a refund for me and my partner's meals and that they never offered a full refund. They said since we had "12 people" on the ticket they wouldn't do it (our tab for 8 people was $186 before tax and tip) but if we had a doctor's note that could change things. I promised them we weren't making it all up and that I've never gotten food poisoning from a restaurant or even left a bad review before! Tired of the gas lighting I decided it wasn't worth arguing and let them know this will have to be my first. It's a shame their management is unprofessional because our experience in the restaurant with the food and staff was nice.

Broth is deep, delicious and not too sweet or salty. Small area inside with a few tables. Walk up to the counter to order and pay first. Then wait at a table for your food to arrive. You can grab water at a water station at the corner (cold water). Service was polite & efficient and they got us everything we needed. Table centerpieces were not fully refilled so we had to grab some napkins/chili, etc from another nearby table. Did not taste the rice dishes, but the family enjoyed the pho that they had, even my mom's vegetarian pho. Pho broth is delicious and approved!

VERDICT/VALUE Sure, there are a lot of choices for decent Vietnamese food in town - but with good eats, good service, decent prices, it's easy to recommend Pho Tru to family and friends! === 2. FOOD Summer Rolls ($10) Two come at this price and they're done well. We may debate about the peanut sauce (I prefer the lighter-coloured, less bitter one) but this is a good snack or happy all-year round. Fish Tacos ($8) They were out of fish today but we got it with the recommended grilled pork instead - and that was a great decision! The pork was not too thin yet tender and flavourful. It works out to be $4 per taco but the good meat with crisp fresh veggies make the price of admission worth it. Pho #19 ($17) It's basically a house special: all of the meats - and with flavourful soup and a healthy portion of noodles, it's a great choice! Pork Vermicelli ($16.25) A great option for those that don't want any soup splashing around: good portion of fresh veggies mixed with noodles and pork that's thicker than what was included in the tacos, but still tender and flavourful. === 3. SERVICE The service is stellar: the same man who greets you, takes your order, serves your order and ensures all is well before the cheery greeting upon departure is the one making the experience worth the trip! It's relatively busy with dine-in patrons and food app/takeout orders, but the speed of service to the counter did not disappoint. === 4. ENVIRONMENT It's a little older looking, but it's simple, clean, and effective. Windows on the street side let in a good amount of daylight for tables of up to 8 when all of the two- and four-tops are combined. Once you get past the front door (not automatic/mechanically openable), wheelchairs and baby strollers should fit with some ease. Parking is all street based, which is paid up until 8:00 pm each night.

The Saigon Wings were really delicious and crispy. The right amount of fish sauce on them. The server was very nice to us and had a great experience here. The latte was so smooth and well balanced flavors, absolutely the best latte I have had in long time. Then I tried the donuts and they were very good. Whether you get your pho on in the Asian capital of So Cali = the 626, OC Little Saigon 714, or even in the 323/213 Koreantown/Chinatown, I'm proud to say we have some pretty legit pho restaurants available here. My journey took me to Victoria for a wedding for the weekend. The family was craving some Asian food and someone found this place merely for its close proximity from our hotel. Let's just say, it was a blessing. We had a group of about 17, so we phoned in for reservations. They were able to accommodate three separate tables that were all next to one another. This didn't bother us one bit, it's not like we needed a typical round table too all fit on. It was a Friday evening and the place was pretty filled up. With us there, the place looked happening. So if you have a big party, you may want to phone ahead so they can prepare for your arrival. The pho... I ordered #25 on their menu: rare steak, brisket, and meatballs; XL size. The portion was truly XL. At first, I thought they skimped out on the meat but little did I know that it was all sitting at the bottom of the bowl. The stock soup base was good (slightly on the saltier side). Doesn't matter because I always add my endless condiments regardless: sriracha sauce, hoisin sauce, an entire lime tree, and pepper. We did have to ask them for more bean sprouts/basil/lime set up. Down here, every bowl gets their own plate of this. At Green Leaf Bistro, you get one set up for the entire table. We asked and we received, no fuss. I was pretty happy the pho tasted legitimate because trust me when I tell you that I've had some pretty horrible pho in my life. It's really not that hard to screw up either. I got to sample the lemongrass chicken. Real talk, if I wasn't in the mood for some pho then I would definitely would have ordered this dish. Whatever it is that they do to that dark meat chicken, it's fan-f-ing-tastic. Whether you get it on rice or vermicelli noodles, it's darn good stuff right there especially with some nuoc mam dipping sauce. We had the #1 appetizer spring rolls to share for our table. I believe they were vegetarian. It wasn't something that was too impressive but the peanut butter dipping sauce was interesting. I just can't come to the conclusion if I enjoyed it much or not. Overall, the meal was what we needed after being out and about all day, travelling from Vancity earlier that morning. The service was friendly and they gladly brought us the many items we requested from them. The price is what you expect for being in Victoria which is slightly higher but at least the food was great. I can see myself coming back here if I'm ever in this part of the woods again.

The Bo Kho (beef stew) was delicious, with the beef chunks being tender --even the tendons, but damn... those carrots again were still hard inside the stew. Plus I had to ask for lemons to make my own dipping sauce with salt & black pepper for the beef. This traditional French-style stew should come with it. The Brisket Pho was also alright but not spectacular. My Dad ordered the Papaya Salad and the shrimps were plenty and delicious, but not enough Viet herbs to make it authentic. Overall, 3 out of 5, which is very acceptable for a restaurant far away from the "Motherland" or the Little Saigon scene.
