Had a late dinner here with extended family because they weee able to accommodate our large party near closing time. It's a solid 3 star restaurant. Food: The menu is quite extensive, and featured a lot of the Vietnamese dishes you would find at Little Saigon in Westminster, CA. I ordered two staples that should be decent at any time of day. The egg rolls were okay, crispy but lacked a little flavor. The pho dac biet looked good because it was such a large serving for the medium size bowl. There were plenty of proteins and noodles and the bean sprouts, basil, and jalapeños were fresh. But the broth lacked flavor. Even after adding hoisin, sriracha, and limes, it still wasn't quite right. I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt because we arrived so close to closing time. Service: Very friendly waiter and spoke Vietnamese to us. He took time to get to know us and also brought out all of the entrees in relatively close times. Ambiance: There was no one in there around 8:55 pm on a Friday night. They made a special accommodation to stay open later for our late party. The restaurant was standard as far as what you would see in other states. Plenty of tables and parking. Overall, it was an average experience because we are heavily influenced by Little Saigon in Westminster. None of us left hungry and it will fill the need if we ever return. read more

We were pleasantly surprised and pleased with our dinner here. We had an order of spring rolls which were homemade and crispy, and then my order of Pho was delicious! Lots of nice fresh shrimp, and chicken and pork, more than I usually expect. And fresh basil and sprouts and all the fixings. The chili flake that they serve seems unique and homemade. Altogether it made for a tasty dish! My wife got the vegetarian vermicelli dish and the tofu was also very tasty. And the portions were enough to have plenty of leftover. Haven't had a chance to stop by in person but got pickup and really enjoyed my meal. I wanted to introduce my boyfriend to authentic Vietnamese food (other than pho) - and got a summer rolls, pork banh mi, grilled pork vermicelli, and chicken fried rice. Everything was fresh, tasty, sufficient portions, and reasonably priced. Even though I had to pick up order, I felt like a valued customer. I was graded when I walked in, even though it was a minute before closing, and the payment process was friendly too. They seemed genuine happy to help. I only saw the interior at a quick glance, but it's definitely a step above the classic hole-in-the-wall Vietnamese place that looks like a house on the outside with bare bones ambience inside. We stopped into Pho Ngon 2 weeks ago and had a WONDERFUL meal! We ordered an appetizer of fried dumplings that were very tasty. They had vegetarian broth (as well as beef and chicken broth) so we both ordered a vegan pho. It came with an AMPLY SUPPLY of bean sprouts, jalapenos and THAI BASIL!! The bowl size was medium and it was plenty of soup after the dumplings. It was stuffed full of noodles, mushrooms & other veggies and it tasted delicious!! We left full and satisfied. The prices were good, the restaurant was VERY CLEAN, the service was great and the atmosphere contributed to a positive experience. The food was pretty bland. The BBQ chicken in our dishes was weird tasting and there were no fresh herbs in it at all!! One of the things we love about Vietnamese food is the herbs. We didn't finish our food. Not even half. Very unusual for us. It's unfortunate, but I have to say that this was the worst Vietnamese food I've ever had. Doesn't satisfy my pho cravings there's a lot of oil/fat in the broth. It's not terrible food but not the best. It's your average viet cuisine. The have a good amount of viet foods besides pho The pho broth hasn't been as rich tasting as I know it should be. Their curry aren't like Thai curry like in the picture. Finally back to Pho Ngon, this time meeting a friend for lunch. As before, I went with the Pho Ga. It didn't take long before a very large bowl (the "large" must be the size of a swimming pool) arrived complete with chicken, noodles and all the fixings. Broth was rich and smelled heavenly. There were plenty of noodles and a reasonable amount of thin sliced white meat chicken. After adding the requisite cilantro and basil and bean sprouts then squeezing the lime, I only needed to squirt sriracha and start the dive. Delicious. read more

I went here because crispy bahn-mi isn't open on mondays. It wasn't horrible but it was dissatisfying. There was hardly any meat and all I could taste was bread. The bread itself didn't have that soft inside that I love. It was cheap though at only $6.50 - maybe that's why they were skimpy with the meat. I've never had a bahn-mi that was so underfilled. With a wide range of food, such as Pho, rice dishes, stir fry, and curry, you probably won't know what to pick like me. In terms of the food, I enjoy the Pho Tai here, but my favourite dish to get is the Rice dish with the Short ribs. It is incredibly juicy and comes with veggies and a fried egg. Although it may not look like it in the picture, it was a good portion size of meat. The only reason I have to give it 4 stars is that there was a slight burned taste to the short ribs, but I would still eat it any day of the week. Had to flag her down to send it back for the steaming hot pho I craved only to not have it ready in time since I was on my lunch break. My associate had to bring it to me and it spilled all over the bag. I ordered a bubble tea, it was also lukewarm and tasted chalky and too sweet at the same time. My other friend didn't even get the right order and she refused to correct it so I said I'd pay for it but just bring her what she wanted. She told my friend they'd do better next time.
