Was really craving some pho, and stumbled upon this spot. Crossed my fingers and realized this might be the best pho I've had in Utah, thus far. I ordered a Vietnamese iced coffee and the Pho No. 1 Special. The coffee was bittersweet and strong and tasted authentic! I was quite impressed by the broth, it was very clean and wasn't overloaded with a lot of msg flavoring like other pho places ive tried in utah!! It tasted very clean and refreshing and the noodles were intact, nice and chewy! The portion was also pretty good for its price. The staff were very friendly. It seemed like there was only one main waiter, and he was super attentive despite it being a bit busy. I asked if i could get my bean sprouts steamed and he got it done quickly. I have been coming here since I was 9 years old. Their Pho has never changed and I've stayed loyal to this place. My family always gets their Brisket Pho and Lemon Chicken. I'm not familiar with Utah and I just look at reviews and somehow keeps ending up at this spot. Its my third time here. This place didn't really have a good reputation for me because of the first time we came to this place. It was abour 30mins before closing, but the man at the door said they've already been closed when we came in at the door. The second time we were here was when we actually had the experience at the restaurant. The food was pretty good. However, we noticed they didn't really have a lot of choices for food. They have both Viet and chinese food, but normally at vietnamese restaurants usually have a lot more choices. Now for the food... I know I said they have a pretty small selection of vietnamese food, but it's actually pretty good.. compared to other pho places I've been to in Utah, the taste is actually pretty authentic. A bit underwhelming for Vietnamese food. I got a Pho number 2 and they were generous with the meat, but the broth was a bit bland and really cloudy. My husband ordered a Pho number 1 (combination) but they didn't put tripe or tendon in it for some reason, even though it was listed on the menu. Ordered some pho and spring rolls to-go. I appreciated how kind the man over the phone was when I placed my order. My order was ready to picked up at the time I scheduled it for. My broth needed to be reheated when I got home (I live 5 minutes away). The meats (I ordered the special) were in a container with all of the toppings. The basil had a some brown leaves on it which I couldn't eat. The meat was reheated as well before putting it in the broth. The noodles did kind of stick together and there were actually some different types of noodles mixed in that I had to pick out as the texture was very strange...almost kind of spiked? The spring rolls were great. Super fresh. Good quality and the peanut dipping sauce was so good! The pho was extremely flavorful and really tasty. We've been coming here since it opened. But I think we'll take a break from eating here. The silverware, napkins, condiments and napkins are on a tray on the table. How is this sanitary to have silverware on the table in a holder. I have watched numerous times as customers handle silverware and put it back, ick! Everything needs to be wiped off. The salt & pepper shakers, hoisin and other sauces are caked with sticky germs. This place needs a visit from the health department. The last time we ate there the oil was rancid. If you e ever tasted or smelled rancid oil, you know how gross this is. About the food and service ... The vegetable pho is flavorful but lacking in vegetables and variety of veggies in the soup. So the owner recently told me his mother come every day to hand make and roll the egg rolls. (The deep fried ones!) I normally hate all egg rolls in this valley. Coming from NYC, more importantly Flushing,Queens I didn't know what to expect from Utah Pho. I came to Pho No.1 Special craving a taste of home, and boy did I get home!! The pho was the No.1 Brisket Pho and it was amazing great broth and meat, though the meat a little fattier than I'd like the noodles slightly over done but overall amazing The Vietnamese spring roll was crunchy and full of goodness and the spicy sauce it came with matched perfectly. The pot stickers were greasy goodness and the sauce accompanied it perfectly not too sweet or too salty. Lastly I got a bubble tea since it's been so long without it. What I do love with all of them is the generous helping of herbs and sprouts that turn the pho into exceptional. Fresh anise is my favorite!! This is our go to Pho! Its not fancy but its filling and authentic. We took the teens, one of whom has never had Pho. The broth is great, not greasy and full flavored. Meats, noodles, herbs and other toppings are generous. We usually get the 4 or 2. I haven't tried the chicken yet but I will! The spring rolls and pot stickers get a thumbs up too. Lots of interesting sauces and everything you need is right at your table including extra soup spoons and chopsticks, a good system. Lastly yes the boba tea is awesome and a nice complement; very creamy and many flavors though mango and lychee are faves here. TL;DR: This place is the real deal and TOTALLY to-go approved. So if you're a hermit, get your pho to go and enjoy at home! *** Trying to think of anything negative to say about this place but I honestly can't think of anything! I love love love love pho. I can eat pho anytime of day, in any weather, under any condition. I legitimately have eaten pho for breakfast at 5 am (leftover pho, it was soggy/porridgey but idc, yum pho). So I have gone around Utah finding some good pho I can always go to. The biggest bummer has always been that no place is open late. Oh well, I digress. I'd been to Pho No. 1 once for a sit down meal years ago, from what I remember, the experience was fine. But I'm writing based on my most recent return as a to-go customer. Tbh, if you can nail pho TO GO, that's a big accomplishment. There are so many things that can go wrong with pho to-go. They could skimp on the ingredients because they think they can get away with it. They could forget your sauces. They could have used crappy packaging and you spill soup all over the place on your way home. I'm telling you, pho to-go is a gamble. It's a job for proPHOssionals. I placed a phone order on my way home from work. A lot of phone orders are met with impatient cashiers. The guy on the phone sounded attentive and pleasant which was a good first impression. I walk in and didn't have to wait long before they could get to me and give me my order. I ended up adding a Thai Tea Boba with no hassle and really quick service. The cashier was really nice and gave me good recommendations I can use in the future. No spills or accidents on the way home. They didn't skimp on ingredients, I was FULL. Sauces were included. And the packaging for the soup was actually so air tight I actually couldn't open it (mainly cuz I was afraid of spilling in the process of opening by force), so I just cut a hole on top and all was fine in the world. I got the P7 Pho which has steak, brisket, and meatballs and also the Vietnamese spring rolls. I guess I have ONE tiny gripe, which is that they only give you one meatball? But I never really cared about the meatball part of pho so it wasn't too much of a negative for me. The meats were good and in full pieces. Not like some other places with meat that falls apart and is too flaky and muddles your soup. The broth was fantastic and overall just a really enjoyable dish. It was super filling so I ended up having to save my spring rolls for my meal the next day. It kept well and the rice paper didn't harden and I enjoyed the spring rolls the next day as well. They even put a slice of pork into the spring roll in addition to the shrimp, which makes it just that much more authentic. The moral of the story is, you may not have thought Pleasant Grove/Lindon would be a place you'd get pho but bookmark this place and try it for yourself. It's a great little spot! read more

We love this local place. The best Pho we have had in Utah County. In addition to great Pho, I highly recommend try the V1. It is a delightful combination of pork, lettuce, nuts, shrimp, cucumber, noodles and a tangy dressing (served on the side). I like to have them substitute more lettuce for the noodles to keep it low carb. This is my favorite dish here. They also have excellent Boba drinks (the best around). You can get them smoothy or milky style with lots of flavors. In addition to a primarily Vietnamese menu, they also offer several Chinese-American favorites.
