Came here for lunch and there were plenty of tables available. You order and pay first at the front before getting seated. We ordered the combo pho, a bun bo hui, and a bun rieu. Each bowl was delicious and full of flavor! The pho actually had the flat noodles instead of the traditional thin noodles which we all really liked! The staff were friendly, but we did wait for our food for a bit despite it not being very busy. It's spacious and they were playing kpop! It could be that I was already in kind of a "meh" mood, but I wasn't particularly "wowed" by this place. It wasn't super busy-I think there might have been 3 groups altogether at dinner time. You order at the counter, and they bring the food to you at your table. My dining partner received his food several minutes before mine came out. It was an awkward wait-he was trying to be polite, and I was holding up the meal. (Well, not be personally, but my dish was.) Timing could be adjusted to ensure both people in the party receive their food roughly at the same time. I had a chicken stir fry dish and it was just ok. The presentation was lacking-I didn't get a picture of it, but it wasn't incredibly beautiful. Which would have been fine if the taste was amazing, but it was just ok. Kind of bland, really. Pho kind of sucked we ordered a kids pho the combination and a rare beef and brisket. One thing I noticed right as I walked in was that the whole place smelled like pee and chemicals it was absolutely revolting. And right as we walked in, we weren't greeted. We were just told we won't see you come over and seat yourself in a very mean and yelling voice. We ordered sat down talked and the kids bowl only had four meatballs. It was seven dollars and here's the thing it wasn't even for meatballs. It was one meatball cut into four pieces and the rest of the soups had almost 0 meat and maybe a flimsy piece of brisket and maybe one meatball. Everyone was so mad they didn't even get to enjoy their meal and after we finished, we wanted to sit down and talk for a minute until we were very rudely kicked out right as they closed now I get restaurants closed, but here's the same they didn't even say it nicely. They just yelled at us to get out because they were closed half of us. Didn't even get to finish her food and then you wanna know the gross part they didn't even clean. This place is okay. They serve their pho with thick noodles and their egg rolls are served with chopped lettuce instead of a whole lettuce to wrap your egg rolls with. It's way overpriced than places I've been to. They serve 2 egg rolls per order for the price of $6 each... which to me is crazy. Their egg rolls are small too. I got the brisket with ribeye large for $15 My husband got the brisket w/chicken for the same price. We got our kids the chicken rice bowl for $18 and their chicken bowl isn't the typical chicken bowl. It's shredded chicken. Not that great either. Our total came out to be $64 which is wild. 2 large pho 2 orders of egg rolls (4 small egg rolls) And a chicken rice plate. Was In the mood for some beef spring rolls and saw this location had some. It was a nice little drive from my area but it was worth it. Very cozy and there was a good amount of people when we arrived. They offer traditional Pho but wanted to branch out and try something new. The beef was very tender , the broth was good but I think it could have been spicier . We loved the banh mi sandwich and we tried it with the peanut sauce from the Rolls- made for a tasty bite . If you live around the area, don't think you have to drive to West Valley for a good bowl of pho or Viet food, in general. This place does it well and definitely clears nearby competitors. Per their pho, their broth is delicate, slightly sweet, and more spiced than beefy. It's a good proper bowl, but I was more inclined towards their rice plates. I'm obsessed with their bun rieu/crab and tomato noodle soup. I could live off of it. The broth is flavorful the noodles are amazing. I work right by here so I come here a lot it sells out so I would call and make sure they have it or have a different item to order in mind. Their spicy lemongrass beef is good too! Personally I don't order their pho, the one time I had it it was a little too sweet and star anise was strong. Their fresh spring rolls are yummy too! I've ordered their pho twice for take out in the past month and it's been excellent both times. Their broth is flavorful and delicious. I would say it's one of the best places in the area for pho. Although, I'm not going to dock a star for this because the pho was still awesome, but both times I've asked for a side of sriracha ordering on the phone and when I got home and opened the takeout I had two sides of hoisin lol. I found a hidden gem in my favorite vacation spot. After hitting ski slope, we liked to have pho to warm up on Christmas Eve. Most places were closed, but this restaurant was open. Without other choice, I had to visit. What an unexpected pleasure! The soup was good (even it is without MSG). Better than any other places I visited except two. (I used to live 5 miles away from Litttle Saigon in Orange County CA.) I am not saying it's the third. It is one of the best 3. If you like Pho and I the Salt Lake area. This was our first time ordering, we are never going to go back to this place again. It is not even an authentic pho broth. We paid $16 and our soup and the Styrofoam container was full of veggies. The pho soup container was half full and I had asked for extra meat which they forgot to add. The bun was fatty meat, seasoned horribly and again the container was full of veggies. Overall very bad place. If somebody says this place is good, you should go check out some other pho places. UPDATE: 5 stars to 4. I ordered from this place for the 4th time and the shrimp fried rice had hair in it. It wasn't my hair, and I was disgusted by it. I've tried a few Vietnamese restaurants in the area, but none of them have been as good and tasty as Pho 9. I am honestly surprised with how delicious it is. This is my new go to place! When I order Vietnamese food around here, I typically can't get myself to finish all of the noodles and rice-- however, Pho 9's dishes are so good that I eat everything on the plate. Even their boba, specifically the Honeydew, tasted so good. You can taste the fruitiness rather than the sweet, jelly-like taste of boba drinks from other Vietnamese restaurants.
