I had passed by this place multiple times but was a little intimidated by the menu because I was not famliar with the dishes but today I decided to take the plunge and was very glad I stopped to eat there. A gem inside the Allentown Farmer's Market! Got the kimchi fried rice and tofu soup to share and loved both dishes! The tofu soup (with beef) was by far my favorite. It comes with a side of white rice and two additional sides (pickled radish and zucchini). Nothing great to rave about this place. First time here, so we were excited to try new things. We tried to order the Bao buns but supposedly, they didn't have many left. Saw the staff went into the walk-in fridge to look for some, while another staff found a few in a bag. One said out loud that those are not good ones and some how she found a few more, somewhere else! I'm just watching all this like watching a movie. I'm like okay, where DID you find these buns I said to myself. She placed them in the microwave to heat them up and I don't know where they got the meat. I wanted to order some gyozas as well, but they were out of the ones I wanted and my boyfriend is allergic to the shellfish so I had double of the pork. It was quite appalling watching what was going on with my buns and even gyozas. I ordered to-go, so we were waiting for a while. I looked over to see when it was done, somehow the staff made contact with me and said, "YOU, your order". YOU???? What kind of service is this??? I don't care if you're having a bad day, but don't treat customers like they're your enemy. I was already annoyed with the whole situation and fearing what the food might look like or taste. We opened the gyozas and It was just tossed in and I don't even know which is which flavor! What IF I did order shrimp? How would I know and what if my boyfriend ate it and got an allergic reaction?? Everything was super greasy and had no taste. Tastiest was the soy sauce packet I used. The buns were not buns. Buns are supposed to be soft and warm. They were hard as rock and cold!! And wherever there were soft parts, it was overly drenched with whatever they put inside, whatever meat it was. It was gross and overly priced. They need to work on everything about this place. I went here for the first time this weekend and the farmers market was PACKED. All the stools were taken so I got my order to go. I had the Bipimbap with pork, kimchi and egg. I also got 10 dumplings, half pork, half beef and a raspberry hibiscus tea. As crazy and busy as this stall was the I greeted with a smile. She apologized for the wait and I said "No I see your busy so it must be good!" And it was! The tea was refreshing and not overly sweet at all (which is good because I don't like cloyingly sweet things). My boyfriend and I both enjoyed the dumplings, there were definitely fresh and gone made but the STAR was the bipimbap! The pork was so tasted and bursting with flavor! We stopped by the Allentown Farmers' Market to check it out while in the area, and the drinks on the menu here sounded refreshing, so my wife and I each ordered one. I got the matcha lemonade, and my wife got the guava lemonade; both of them tasted pretty good. Matcha lemonade was a bit on the sweet side, but the guava lemonade was perfect! They did appear to mark down gluten-free, which is great. We weren't hungry when we passed by, so we didn't buy any food, but the tea tasted good. The teas were stored in pitchers, so doesn't seem they can adjust sugar level, but tasted good overall. I'd be back to try some food if I'm in the area again. read more

I stopped by this place visiting the farmers market. This is a new little spot that joined. I ordered the japchae which is glass noodles with sautéed vegetables and soy garlic chicken. I also tried the dumplings. Both were fresh and delicious. The customer service is on point too. They are so friendly and nice and very accommodating to you. I'm so glad they have Korean food here in Allentown. It's s nice addition to the area. For out-of-town-ers that are looking for some Korean food, Little Miss Korea is located inside Allentown's Farmer's market. It was very confusing at first for me to locate this place but you just have to go inside! There are probably about 10 seats there, but the turnover is very fast as the service and food are both fast. I sat down on the corner on a Friday and quickly decided that I wanted the japchae. I got my food within 5 minutes of ordering, and I can see that they were cooking it right in front of me. So I know that my food is made to order and is fresh! Portions were huge and I really liked that my japchae wasn't too oily. Most japchae that I order in Los Angeles always have a puddle of oil on the bottom of the plate, or the pate is very shiny and slimy by the end of my meal. I was very happy to find that the plant was not glistening in oil after my meal! Portions was also very generous as well, and I thoroughly enjoyed my meal! I do wish that the meat was more incorporated into my japchae rather than just being sprinkled on the top after the japchae is ready. I ordered a custom bowl from LMK and at $14 + tax I was quite disappointed. My bowl was 75% rice with a few pieces of bulgogi beef on top as well as a few pieces of: squash, cucumber, sweet potato, edamame (the most plentiful next to rice), daikon radish and I didn't get to pick a 6th topping. The sauce I chose with gochugang. Overall it was OK but nothing I'd be running back for. There has been so much growth in the past decade, and with the arrival of Little Miss Korea I feel like I am finally content. A lifelong fan of bibimbap and kimchi, I immediately went to check it out. The Allentown Farmers Market stresses me out a little bit because of the hustle and bustle, and I had to wait a little bit for my order, but it was worth it. You can easily get a vegetarian meal by just omitting the meat additions, and you can add eggs to most things. I got my beloved bibimbap with an egg and caramelized kimchi, plus an order of kimchi fries (sans bulgogi) to try. I think the kimchi could be a little spicier, but I think it's palatable for most. Located in the Allentown Farmer's Market, this little spot is easy to miss. Luckily, my boyfriend and I came here this past weekend specifically with the intention of me trying their food. He has had the bulgogi beef cheesesteak a few times before, and he thought that I would enjoy their food. Luckily, I chose to try something else as I was not in a cheesesteak mood. The Korean fried chicken sandwich here turned out to be one of the best fried chicken sandwiches that I have EVER had in my entire life. The bun was perfectly soft and fluffy, the chicken perfectly cooked and super juicy, the pickled daikon radish and sesame slaw adding an excellent crunch that is so hard to find in many chicken sandwiches. The Gochujang aoli was simply the perfect sauce. It was indescribable. I am only sad that they aren't a standalone shop that is open every day of the week and that they are in two different markets on different days of the week. The markets also have some limited hours. I truly believe that their food would be exceptionally popular if they had their own storefront. Regardless, if I am ever back in the Allentown area and they are open, I will be returning to try more of their dishes, and getting another chicken sandwich. It's been a few days and I'm still thinking about their chicken sandwich. I get the tofu hot pot every time I order from here and it is delicious every time! It's a huge quantity of food, enough for two full meals, and the cold sides are usually daikon and cucumber, always delicious and slightly sweet, a good contrast against the hot pot. Well, I must say the food is really really good! I have eaten there quite a few times. It is my one daughter's favorite. But I must say what bothers me about the place. Well, for starters, it's in the farmers market which don't get me wrong no problem so the atmosphere isn't great but the food is. Now the other problem that bothers me is when you're done eating they don't give you the checks you go up to the register now for some places that's kind of OK not my favorite what kind of OK? But for here you have vendors all over and people walking back-and-forth and you have to stand where all the people are walking and if it's crowded, it is really a shit show. You feel like you're in everybody's way and there's nowhere to go. So with that being said, they should start taking care of people right where they're sitting and then leave them leave then the other thing is right at the very same spot all the to go orders so take the shit show and times that by two. Went here on a whim after yoga. I gave it 4 stars because I'm used to eating really authentic korean cuisine. Heck, I've tried bibimbap in Jeonju South Korea...the OG of bibimbap so I had really high standards! The bibimbap is tasty, it used fresh and local ingredients but it was lacking my favorite ingredient (gosari..a mountain veggie). The sauce was ok but i think it was lacking sweetness and i didnt get any taste of sesame oil. Overall, it was good but probably won't go out of my way to come back since i visit philly and palisades park often which have a larger korean population. read more

I assumed my order was understood and would be ready in half an hour, as requested. When I arrived at the farmers market to pick up my order, a young woman working there told me it was her father who took my call, did not understand what I wanted, and had hung up on me. They both apologized and I waited ten minutes or so for my food to be made.
