On a Friday night, the restaurant was full, but we were able to sit down right away as a party of 2. The restaurant is narrow but there's plenty of seating. They were not able to serve soda because of a leak, but I had the Jasmine hot tea. It was VERY hot. But very good. We ordered the tofu steamed bun, the tofu curry, and the tofu noodle soup. I recently went back to the Pho Company Noodle House in Deland. I have been here once before a couple of years ago, and as I was passing through the area figured it deserved a second shot. I was able to find parking just down the street, but there is not really a lot of parking in the downtown area of Deland, so be forewarned. The outside is quite unassuming, and as the place only takes up a single "slot" in the row of shops along the main street, it is quite narrow inside. Not a problem for me, as I was alone, so taking up a small table near the entry was not a problem. I was greeted when I walked in and told to sit anywhere, so the small table was perfect for me. Inside is decorated relatively sparsely, but it is appropriate. The menu is what you would expect in pretty much any pho house, if you have been to a few. I went for a standard beef and meatball pho and the summer rolls, as I do love a good summer roll. They of course came out first, and I started in on them as I read my book and waited for the pho to come out. Both dishes were quite good, and if I am in the area I will absolutely be returning. It is a good heartwarming food experience, and in the colder months it is a perfect way to warm up a bit. read more

Best Pho!! Perfect for those kind of days you just want a hearty but lite soup. Healthy fresh ingredients. Vegetable Spring Rolls with Peanut Sauce is also amazing. I did pick up and he had it on time and perfectly hot!! Rolls were supposed to be fresh and cold and they were! Asked if I needed utensils so not to waste. Appreciated that. I didn't need them. Also Siracha & Hosin sauce in just right quantity were given. Smart. Quick service too! Although I was just picking up I must add it is a quaint long narrow dining room and well done. In all fairness, we had already eaten, but felt there was room to share a Pho, so we gave this place a try. We ended up only with a spring roll order as we felt the pho should have included the customary bean sprouts, Basel, lime and hot peppers. They charge extra for that and where we come from, it has always been included. In all fairness, I have seen people not use the condiments and then they are wasted. In our case, I specifically asked for all those goodies as they add so much more to a pho. Maybe they should simply charge another dollar or two, then ask people if they want that. If not, then the restaurant gets a little more. I would think that it would cost average out between those that want it and those who do not. Yes, a particularity in my thinking, but in this case, the restaurant lost 2 customers possibly forever. Then, to make matters worse, we stated that we needed to have the sauce be gluten free with the rolls as we were sharing the small order. When ordered, we said we would like both sauces as I am not GF. When my sauce did not come, I asked if I could have some as we said. After I got it and the check came, there was an up charge for the sauce. Talk about leaving 'a bad taste in your mouth', (actually it was an OK spring roll), but that pretty much the last chance for the place in our minds. Oh well, we may never know if they do have or do not have good pho.... Maybe your experience will be better. read more

Pho in Deland is in between Daytona and Orlando. This is the place to be if you don't want to drive to Orlando. It's located in downtown Deland and across the street from the mini Asian market. This space is narrow and tiny. We had a party of 12 that we called in to reserve ahead of time. That took up more than half of the restaurant space. -Special beef pho -Grilled pork chop with rice -Spicy beef noodle -Korean short ribs with rice -Thai tea The grilled pork chop was so good. It was grilled on charcoal not gas and it wasn't dry! It was moist with flavors and marinated well. Being Vietnamese and from California, I can honestly say this place was pretty good for the area. read more

While standing outside, on the sidewalk, scanning the QR code on the glass window, and trying to view a menu on our cell phone, a very lovely employee opened the door and offered us paper menus. This kind gesture was greatly appreciated! In fact, we decided to eat at this cozy establishment! We ordered pot stickers, and two fried rice dishes. The food was okay. I've used the word "okay" because we found the rice to be very greasy. We drank water, yet the total bill was over $5o. The staff was quite cordial. We haven't visited Pho Co in a while since the prices changed a few years back. Since it was a cold Saturday night and I was craving soup; we decided to give this restaurant a 2nd chance. When we entered, we were greeted by both waiters and were able to get seated immediately. I think we came at a good time (6pm) because as we were enjoying our meal it started to get packed. It's a small restaurant so if it does get full be prepared to wait outside. I'm so glad they added ambient music in the restaurant, it made it cozy (a few years back, it use to be sooo quiet to eat here). The tables were also clean. Once seated, the waiter came with our waters quickly and put in our order. We got the fried egg rolls as an appetizer, my husband ordered the chicken curry, and I ordered the beef pho. Both of the soups were very good and exactly what we were craving. Some people who left reviews said it took a while for them to get their food? We were able to enjoy our meal and pay within 45 minutes or so. Our food came hot and our meat wasn't chewy. Everything was good! If you come for the soups I feel like it's well worth the price 5/5 However we try to avoid the buns or rice plates because of how pricey they are :( If I'm ever craving Pho soup i'll definitely come here! read more

My husband had never had pho, so we located what was deemed the "best pho in DeLand" (by the restaurant itself) and headed to Pho Company Noodle House in downtown DeLand. The restaurant looks about the size of a short alleyway and when we first walked in my social anxiety was peaked. There was a sign instructing patrons to "wait to be seated," but we waited a long while - in the doorway of this small space - with awkward stares from patrons and staff who failed to acknowledge us (even though they passed by us several times and there were tables available). Not a warm and fuzzy feeling but I was determined to not let my anxiety win. When we were finally seated, we quickly ordered some appetizers- spring rolls and pork dumplings - in fear that the food wait time would be as long as it took to get us seated. While we were waiting for our appetizers, a gentleman behind us loudly complained to the server, "I didn't come here for dinner to eat your lunchtime leftovers!" He pointed out how his food looked and tasted old and re-heated and how his wife's food was cold. Yikes! We were afraid of how our food would arrive. Our appetizers didn't take as long as we had feared and the taste was average. For our pho, my husband ordered steak pho while I ordered chicken pho. My husband was underwhelmed with his first pho experience as his steak tasted chewy and the broth lacked flavor. For my chicken pho, the beef broth made the dish taste "too beefy" and over salted. As for the restaurant's claim that they are the "best pho in DeLand," it turns out that they're the only pho restaurant in DeLand and my husband and I will gladly drive out of town to avoid "the best pho in DeLand" the next time we're craving pho. read more

Stopped in on a rainy Monday evening (yes they're open on Mondays now! Apparently as of August 15, 2022) because rain = soup to my brain. They had just opened for the night so I was the sole patron but they were doing a great takeout biz. Needless to say service was stellar since I had the place to myself. I started with a passion fruit tea with rainbow jelly and pork and shrimp summer rolls. The rolls were wrapped tightly and nothing tore or fell out and the fillings were well distributed. I loved the peanut sauce with a perfect balance of sweet and savory with a hint of fish sauce. Extra bonus for crispy shallots on top. I got a 3-meat pho with brisket, eye round and meatball. The brisket and eye round were tender and the meatballs were smooth with no bits of gristle. The broth was wonderful, you could taste the spices and it was well balanced between salty, sweet, and a tiny bit of silky fat from the brisket. I also loved that it was broth heavy and not 80% noodles because I favor the broth over the noodles. My only complaint is that the entire 30-40 minutes I was in there they played the same song on repeat. According to Shazam it's "Remember When" by Alan Jackson. I didn't have the heart to ask my waitress to change it - could have been her favorite? Plus the food was so good I still thoroughly enjoyed my visit! read more

I came at around 5:30/6 and was seated right away. I ordered shrimp spring rolls and steak and brisket pho and man was it delicious and very quick to come out. The broth had a beautiful flavor and the peanut sauce for the rolls was not overpowering. Only downsides were I had to wait a while for the check as they had many people coming in but it seemed like I was forgotten as other people who came in after me got their check and left before me. They were playing country music from the 90s in the background, which I liked but some might think incongruous for a Vietnamese restaurant. They had a clearly marked vegan section on the menu with 4-5 offerings. I had rice vermicelli topped with stir-fried veggies and fried tofu. Although the sauce was quite plain, the dish was tasty and satisfying although the fried tofu was slightly salty. I agree with other Yelpers that the biggest drawback is the price charged compared to the portion served ($15 for the vegetarian dish and $17 for pho). If you're hungry, you'll probably leave hungry. My husband said his pho was quite good, but he was not satisfied with his portion either. Our server brought out the food quickly and accurately but was not overly friendly. read more

This place is EXCELLENT! We walked in and the service was impeccable! There was only 1 couple in the restaurant when we walked in. They were taken care of and so were we. From the time we entered the building, the wait staff was super attentive and knowledgeable. The Waiter even took the time to give us a lesson on using the chopsticks. No one in our party had been there before, but we were all excited to give it a try. I had the shrimp spring rolls first. The peanut sauce that accompanies them was AMAZING! The rolls themselves were definitely fresh and good! I also had the Shrimp Pho with a cracked egg. It was soooo good! Adding a little bean sprout and hosensauce made this meal MAGNIFIQUE! We tried the fried tofu steamed buns, vegan vegetable curry, and grilled shrimp with steamed tofu rice vermicelli. The steam buns were perfect texture, wise, and contrast to the well seasoned fried tofu. The vegan curry had an excellent spice level and extremely flavorful, we opted for the rice noodles with it. A cute little surprise when I found this for a place in Deland in the heart of downtown. The restaurant had a beautiful mural on one wall and exposed bricks on the other. The soup was very tasty. The spicy sauce that was an add-on was a nice surprise it wasn't too spicy but made it just enough for some heat. If you're in the mood for some for some pho, this is the place to be.
