I went to the grand opening and went back same day for dinner! I highly recommend the Oreo mochi boba it is amazing. I had 3 of them! The seafood curry was soooo delicious and rich in flavor The taiyaki the octopus was a little chewy and it didn't have the bonito flakes which is my preference but they were still good. The gyoza had really good flavor. My husband and the pork katsu and it was really good. They give you good portions. Cost is around 15-20 per person depending on what you gwThey gave away real Labubus for opening and I won 2! The service is a little slow but was expected since first day opened and they cook to order. The place is small limited seating. I will definitely be back this has become my favorite boba shop in the area.

Finally, getting around to this review. Sorry for the wait my foodie friends.! So, food- to be completely honest the food was great but, for the price somethings could definitely be portioned better. I got the Thai fried rice with shrimp which had a descent sized portion of the shrimp. Only complaint about this was the shrimp was a little over cooked. Now, the ramen.... Definitely needs a helping hand. My girl got this and liked it but, was disappointed in the size of the meal for the price we paid. The ramen definitely needs a little more noods and a little more protein to feel like it's worthwhile. We also ordered some special drinks with our meals that were great but, there are other places that sell them a little cheaper with about the same quality. Don't get me wrong, they were fantastic but, if you looking to save some mula there are other places. Lastly, I didn't really care for their plastic and paperware. I get it saves on water and dishwashing but, compared to how the place looks they should at least use actual plates and bowls. (But that's just me) Now to service- "Quick with it" is the phrase that comes to mind. This isn't a haste makes waste scenario. They were pretty on-point when it came to us placing our order and getting our meals. The woman who took our order was very kind and professional. She answered all the questions we had clearly and respectfully. Even when we took a long time to choose what we wanted. Now, time for another complaint....chopsticks, utensils, etc should be at the table and not self serviced above the trash can. Even there is a shelf above it. It Just seems lazy and dirty. Lastly, ambiance- Definitely has the potential to become a hole in the wall type of place. Aesthetically speaking the place is a nice to sit and eat. The place was very clean and seemed like they had a lot of respect for the kitchen. Only downside I foresee is limited seating due to there space lacking in size. They did however utilize the space to get in a decent amount of tables and booths. Overall, my experience there was great but, could be better if some small changes were made. I hope this review has helped you out on making a decision.

Food was fantastic Ladies answered questions regarding "vegetarian" broth. This party of three are very content, and will return soon.

Good food. Nice staff. Had several items including Pho, Chicken Katsu, and Ramen. All tasted good. Just a tad pricey for the ramen.

Simple menu, but all fresh and tasty. Wife is there for Boba every 15 minutes (or so it seems).

Different from other places where you order the various ingredients and cook it yourself. They have a variety of different soups & ingredients such as veggie, kimchi, tomyum. I quite like this method since you don't have to think about the various ingredients to order. The serving size is good for ~$18 a pot, and comes with a good selection of ingredients. You can add more ingredients for additional cost, to further customize it. The presentation is beautiful- the hotpot is served on this beautiful "platter" with room for a heated flame to keep your pot warm as you eat. Individual hot pots are also more hygienic! I tried the healthy veggie pot- delicious and tasty soup! I enjoyed my meal. My parents enjoyed the kimchi hot pot and beef noodle soup as well. There is also a good selection of appetizers. Service was excellent, attentive and quick. The restaurant was fairly empty/ quiet a little after usual lunch time (~2pm) on a Sunday. A great addition to the Daytona beach area! Worth checking out and I will be returning the next time I'm in the area.

As I'm sure every other review here says, you must order the wings. They are so crispy, saucy, and flavorful. I've tried a few of the Ramen dishes, and they are always delicious. So comforting and warm, and such nice large portions - I can never finish mine! I've taken a few out-of-town friends here, and they always are satisfied with their experience. And I'd be remiss not to mention the gorgeous interior... One of the most beautiful restaurants I've been in! Big fan of Domu, and so glad we have one closer to where I live.

I've followed Chef Sean "Sonny" Nguyen from the beginning, and I honestly believe they serve some of the best ramen in Florida. I've recommended DOMU to countless friends over the years. Unfortunately, this isn't a review about the food. It's about how customers are treated. This past Friday, my wife, my two daughters, and I drove almost an hour to Dr. Phillips. We arrived at exactly 9:32 PM, almost 90 minutes before the posted 11:00 PM closing time, only to be greeted with a sign saying they were no longer accepting tables due to an extended waitlist. This wasn't the first time. It wasn't even the second or third. This is now the 4th or 5th time we've driven all the way there only to be turned away. What makes it even more frustrating is that the restaurant didn't appear to be overflowing with people. There were multiple empty tables visible inside, yet we were told they couldn't seat anyone else. At some point, this stops being bad luck and becomes a management problem. If demand is consistently exceeding capacity, then implement a reservation system or another predictable process. Customers shouldn't have to gamble on driving an hour with their family only to be told they can't eat. To be honest, it almost feels like maintaining an artificially long waitlist has become part of the restaurant's image. Whether that's true or not, that's certainly how it comes across after experiencing this repeatedly. Michelin recognition and great food can only take a restaurant so far. Hospitality is equally important, and repeatedly turning away loyal customers well before closing time is simply not acceptable. I sincerely hope Chef Sonny Nguyen sees this because I've supported DOMU for years and genuinely want them to succeed. But after being turned away for the fourth or fifth time, I can no longer recommend making a long drive unless you're willing to risk leaving hungry. Great food deserves great customer service. Right now, the customer experience isn't living up to the quality of the kitchen.
