    Chicken and peapods

Everyone at Leanh's was welcoming, friendly and very attentive. I had the chicken and pea pod plate with white rice which was awesome. My husband had the Mongolian beef and made it a combination plate (the combination plate comes with one egg roll and fried rice). We came here as a very large group and they were very accommodating. Everyone got their food pretty close to the same time and all of the food was hot. We had a great time here and I highly suggest if you haven't been here yet, you definitely have to try it. I will definitely become a regular customer.

We had great food here this week. Service was excellent and the restaurant was very clean and nice inside. I love their hot and sour soup better than most other Chinese restaurants. Their Kung Pao chicken is excellent. The Cantonese with fried noodles had a bit too much garlic for our liking. We come here when in town. Best Chinese!

One of my co workers suggested that I check this restaurant out for lunch. The service was prompt, food was fresh, and folks were friendly. Overall it was a good experience, tje prices were just a bit high... not rediculous, just a bit higher than average. The egg drop soup was thicker than I care for, but tasty. The entree and rice were great.

We've tried a couple of different Chinese restaurants in Ormond Beach over the last two years, and haven't found one we love. We had gone here shortly after moving here, and it's the best in the area. Fairly large dining room, located in a strip mall with plenty of parking. Service is always good! They offer not only Chinese food but also Thai and Vietnamese cuisine choices; we've only tried Chinese dishes. Hubs loves the hot and sour soup, and the crab Rangoon and egg rolls are good. Our favorite dish is Kung Pao - both the chicken and tofu are good.

It's a very casual local dine in restaurant huge portions huge menu options. Dinner combinations or individual entrees. Rice is cooked fresh. Lots of appetizers it's great for large groups who want to eat family style and give you lots to share. It's a fast turn over so little wait times. Thai options as well

We were excited to check out Leanh's because we heard so many good reviews. When we arrived the (after a 50 min drive) I think we got the last parking spot. Went into the restaurant it was very crowded, between people waiting to be seated and ppl picking up takeout orders. We were seated at at little 2 seat table (in which I had to put my purse on my lap) next to a table right next to us. After about 10 minutes a guy came out with fried wontons. He took our drink order which was a bottle of Cabernet wine. Our server arrived later and asked if we were ready to order. I ordered the general's chicken and my husband ordered the Szechuan chicken. My General's chicken disappointedly had no flavor of general's chicken or any Chinese flavored chicken. My husband said his Szechuan chicken was ok but not spicy at all...which should have been. To me absolutely disappointing, we were hoping for great Chinese food but unfortunately didn't receive. Service was only so so, our server brought our plates, and bill...another let down. The only thing to look at in the restaurant was the buddha, no other Chinese/Asian decor. I'm happy we went but I personally wouldn't go back.

Been wanting to try this place out for a while now. I've heard great things about it and finally was able to get there. Ordered take out. Honey chicken, pork fried rice, egg roll, wonton soup and a summer roll. Everything was absolutely delicious and tasted fresh. The only reason for not giving 5 stars is that the honey chicken was a little too sweet for my liking but still very good. Looking forward to trying more menu options! I Highly recommend this restaurant!!

This was my first time visiting Leanh's. I thought the restaurant was very clean, the service was extremely friendly, and the atmosphere was lively. Definitely a popular spot to eat on a Friday night. Every table was filled around 7 pm but it only took us 5 minutes to get a table which was great. On to the food: everything came out nice and quick. The server starts you off with some crispy straws and sauce to get started with as a complimentary appetizer. The Vietnamese tofu summer rolls were the best part about the meal (I didn't get a photo of them ). We were hoping to get three of them since there were three of us, but the server told me they could only give us 2 or 4. Kind of a bummer. The Chicken in Garlic Sauce was fine but seemed to lack garlic or spice as stated on the menu. The vegetables in this dish were kind of weak, I would have loved some broccoli and onion! The Singapore Rice Noodle was completely missing the Singapore seasonings. The fried rice tasted very generic. Like something you'd find at a food court. I'd go back here again to try something different (except for the tofu summer rolls, those were fabulous) just to see if I ordered the wrong items. Maybe stay away from the "Chinese" portion of the menu and focus on the Vietnamese, Korean, or Thai items instead

If you're looking for a quiet, empty restaurant with no wait... keep driving. But if you're craving amazing Chinese food and don't mind a short wait that moves faster than your last Amazon Prime delivery--Leanh's is your spot. We ordered sesame chicken, General Tso's, sweet & sour chicken, krab rangoons, and hot tea (because obviously, we came to eat like royalty). Everything was delicious--crispy where it should be, saucy where it counts, and the flavors? Chef's kiss. Even though the place was packed like a can of sardines on a Saturday night, it was spotless. Seriously, I don't know how they do it. The staff? Absolute pros. It's like watching a well-rehearsed dance crew--only with trays of hot food instead of jazz hands. Highly recommend. Just bring your appetite and a tiny bit of patience--you'll be well fed and happy in no time.

The food was really amazing. I got the Bibibop(?) their Asian food is pretty good with good portions. The atmosphere is cozy, comfortable and welcoming. The service is kind and attentive.

This was our first time here. The service was excellent. The bathrooms were clean. We ordered crab Rangoon, spare ribs, fried chicken wings, beef and broccoli that came with pork fried rice and vegetable lomein. We loved everything except the pork fried rice it was a weird yellow color, flavorless & a hard weird texture. We will for sure go back and try many other dishes just not the rice which we really don't care about anyway. The food was hot & fresh. We had a 25 minute wait. The place was packed. We highly recommend trying this place.

Pho with beef slices. Savory broth. Best I've found in this area. I like the beef balls even more.

Now that they have the food in their possession, they think we can't prove anything. Thankfully my location is under surveillance. To give you the TL;DR (too long, didn't read) ... save yourself the trouble and don't order from here. We ordered three wonton soups, three teas and a shrimp with cashew nuts with an egg roll. All of the food arrived late and therefore was room temperature. We called in to check on our order and we're told a manager would call back with an order status update. So far, that hasn't happened. The teas are a complete rip off. Everywhere I've ordered them from, they are in the 1 qt containers that wonton soup comes in. These are regular size cups, like solo cups but they are $2.30 each. The wonton soup was cold in the center of every one and the broth was lukewarm. The noodles they sent with the soup were stale. The Shrimp with Cashew Nuts was a complete disaster. I gave up on trying to find much in it that tasted decent. The carrots were somehow half soft and half rock. My egg roll was edible so I won't die from starvation tonight. I was starving when the food arrived though so its saying something when I choose to remain hungry instead of eating the food. Save yourself the hassle of having to write a review like this and just order elsewhere.

If you can't get the basics right, then you're in the wrong business. Before you say anything, I did not eat all of this at one sitting. Eggroll - A bit small but not bad. Could have used some bits of pork in the filling. Fried pork dumplings - The first one I tried was very dry. I took the rest of the dumplings and placed them in a steamer for a few minutes. That brought them back to life. In most area restaurants, the dumplings are terrible. They are small with little filling and are pretty much comparable to frozen dumplings from the supermarket. Some of them probably are. China Star makes their own. While they are more like shumai than the traditional potstickers, they are very tasty and have the right amount of filling. I would probably lean towards the steamed dumplings next time and I would fry them myself. Sweet and sour chicken - This was done very well. The coating was light and not at all greasy. So many places use too much batter and overcook them. Beef lo mein - Extremely well done. Lots of tender beef with properly sauced noodles. I really enjoyed this. Spareribs and fried rice combo - This is the only dish that I had a problem with. The fried rice had no flavor. The ribs were overcooked and overly sauced. They were a sloppy mess to eat and not worth getting dirty over. Since moving to Daytona Beach Shores 4 years ago, I have been searching for decent Chinese food. Several high rated restaurants were obviously rated by people who don't have a clue. China Star is the first local Chinese restaurant I would go back to. They are definitely not great, but better than any others I have tried in the area. I look forward to trying some other dishes. I just won't order the ribs again.
