I came here with my friend on a cold Saturday night. Soup sounded really good with temperatures below freezing outside. They have a big menu with lots of appetizers, rice plates, noodles, and of course pho! I decided on the vegetarian tofu soup and it was delicious. I ordered a large, thinking that it was only a couple of dollars more than the small, so why not? The bowl I received was about the size of a large mixing bowl. It probably could have fed four people. Pho OK definitely doesn't mess around with portion size! I had several meals out of this one bowl of soup. The staff was very nice as well, and the restaurant is cozy. I will be back but will most likely order a small next time. read more

The name is right... the ph is okay. I got the ph twice, and the second time, I decided I'm not going to order it again. My go-to dish here is the vermicelli dishes, mostly bun heo nuong -- the grilled pork. There was a time in the restaurant that they seemed to have diluted the fish sauce... so I had them remake it and get that funky smell back! The portions are pretty big, so I'm not mad at that. This cute place has risen to the top for one of my favorite pho places. Partially because it is so close to my work, but also because they have great broth and super friendly employees. The broth is seasoned really well and they don't skimp on the rare beef. Every time I come in they are super quick and always checking up on you if you need anything. We've ordered twice this week - it's that good! First, the dumplings are great - not greasy and served with a yummy sauce that is not sweet. Seriously, the sauce is drinkable. The pho is great! I am a sucker for a good vermicelli bowl, and have been systematically attempting to try every Pho restaurant that has a decent combo bowl on their menu. Here's how Pho Ok stacked up: Actually, they should change their name to Pho Really Darn Good (or perhaps Pho Ok, Yay! I'm a Fan). The pricing comes in on par with the other affordable venues I have found, but there are few differentiators: 1. Their dish is served hot, not spicy hot, but temperature-wise hot, which is fine. And not like hot hot, just warmer that not hot. Does that make sense? Not really. 2. The eggrolls in their dish are very nicely done - good and crispy, but somehow very light (not greasy at all...). 3. The staff always says the same thing when I leave, "See you tomorrow!", which is funny because I have only been there a handful of times, and each visit was weeks apart. That is changing quickly. All in all, a nice spot, very friendly, and it seems to be clean and well run. I do wonder about the assortment of 'stuff' on the floor at the front enterance. When we entered, there was one male server who was working all the tables. He was rude, tossed the menus at our table and slid down two waters. A few minutes later he took our order and left. I ordered 6B (vermicelli with pork and egg rolls) and my wife ordered number 15 (brisket and flank pho). The egg rolls were some of the most disgusting egg rolls we'd ever had in our lives. My wife ended up spitting it out. Her pho was good and she enjoyed the broth. My vermicelli was very disproportionate. There was a ton of vermicelli, four slices of pork, and one small egg roll cut up into three pieces. The pork was good, wish there were a little more. Three fourths of the bowl was vermicelli. I ended up taking it home so I could make some pork and add it to the left over vermicelli. There was probably enough for three meals. When I told the waiter I wanted a box, he stuck his thumb in my noodles, picked up the bowl, and took it to the back. A few minutes later he brought it back in a to-go box. Gross. We never got a 'thank you' or 'come again' or 'have a nice day'. Nothing of that sort. Decent food, a bit expensive, and terrible customer service. read more

Largest MEDIUM bowl of pho EVER!! It wasn't just a bowl with a ton of noodles but they gave a lot of meat as well. The broth was average but definitely not bad. The veg were so fresh it seemed as if they came straight from a farmer's market that day! It was mid February in Denver so that obviously couldn't have been the case. I am a sucker for good service, so Pho OK trumps many other pho restaurants for its friendly and speedy staff. They offer the typical selection of pho bowls (meatball, rare steak, chicken, veggie, etc.) and rice plates. But what makes them stand out is the quality and taste of the food. The owner will tell you repeatedly that they do not use MSG (sodium salt) in its dishes. And you can tell there is a difference--the pho broth tastes very clean! This location of Pho OK also gives people in the area a great pho option versus driving down to Federal Blvd where there is a pho shop on every corner. My hood, Pho the way I like it. I noticed that they have blended the name to be "Pho-kay" now instead of "Pho Okay" when they answer the phone. It's the small things... I consider myself a whiteboy Pho connoisseur. I probably eat Pho three times a month. I have cravings when it's raining or snowing and must order a bowl of hot Pho to match the weather. I feel that Pho just hits the spot, clears your sinuses and clears the head. Great flavors and great texture for lunch or dinner. This place offered the best Pho we've ever had in the cleanest place we've ever had it. Service is friendly and fast, all without being solicitous. The menu offers a lot of choices yet isn't overwhelming and confusing. Prices are reasonable. The portions are generous. I couldn't finish the small Pho Ga that I got and my son couldn't finish his medium. The broth is nice and hot and pulls out the flavors of the basil and fresh jalapeño coins wonderfully. The vegetables are so fresh and you get a good heap of them for your broth. I found myself snacking on the Thai basil sprigs they had set out for us. We had their crab wantons which were good. They seemed baked, not fried, which was unusual but not unwelcome in the least. My son got a coffee Boba and I the iced tea which both of us enjoyed. If I could have physically fit my entire meal into my stomach I would have and not felt a bit guilty about it, either. We will be returning and encourage you to give them a try. read more

Picked up some Pho to go, and OK is about all I can say. So disappointed!! I don't know if they thought since I was a to-go order that they would stick me with all the almost out of date side items or what, but the bean sprouts and basil they gave me were disgusting. The bean sprouts were slimy and brown, and the basil was withered and brown, and I cannot believe they served this. Not fun to find out once you get home either. The Pho broth itself was also just OK in flavor. Not terrible but pretty bummed I had nothing to put with it since the bean sprouts & basil were completely useless and are really the main items I like in my Pho. Called in a vegetarian order of noodle soup. Repeated 3 times back and forth and ended up with all 3 meats in the soup. Spring rolls with tofu had only a little sprinkle of lettuce and no other veggies. All rice noodles. Took the tofu out and had that for dinner. read more
