I really wanted to like this place because the lunch prices are great, but I left disappointed. I ordered the lunch shrimp chow mein, and what I received wasn't chow mein at all. Any Google search for "shrimp chow mein" shows stir-fried egg noodles with shrimp and vegetables. Instead, I was served mixed vegetables with a separate bag of crispy noodles. The fried rice in my photo was my own substitution for the white rice that normally comes with the lunch special, so that's not the issue. I already ate the shrimp before taking the photo, which is why they aren't pictured. The lunch portion only came with about four shrimp. If this restaurant serves a different regional style of chow mein, that should be clearly explained on the menu so customers know what they're ordering. When you order chow mein, you expect actual chow mein noodles--not vegetables with a side of rice and a bag of crunchy noodles. Unfortunately, this wasn't what I ordered or expected, and I wouldn't order it again. read more

I have had very mixed and confusing experiences here unfortunately as someone with a gluten intolerance. I have ordered here three times due the fact that they say they offer gluten free soy sauce. Unfortunately each time they have different answers on what can be gluten free. Most recently I ordered sesame tofu gluten free and it came on a bed of fried wheat noodles - but frustratingly next time I ordered they told me there was no way to have gluten free sesame tofu. The best bet is the salt and pepper tofu- which was really tasty. Overall the food was a 3.5/5 for our group but nothing was bad by any means! I would really appreciate an online menu with proper labeling as to what can be made gluten free as I am now too nervous to order anything. read more

Inside is nice and clean but pretty small, but we came in earlier than usual dinner time so we were seated right away. Food was fantastic! The basil pork was really tasty. I want so much for this place to be amazing. The atmosphere is great, the service is quite good, and the food comes out quickly. We ordered three dishes - the calamari, mapo tofu, and chow fun. The mapo tofu and chow fun were decent, but it just isn't as good as you can get else where. The calamari, on the other hand was superb - solid texture, size, and seasoning. We've only gone twice with our to go order. Both times were very good! We have our granddaughter, so it's best to get it to go & easier. The staff is very accommodating & always secure our order, in great packaging that no spills or food fall out & cause spillage! Yes, parking is always great & convenient. Still a great place for authentic Chinese food. We dropped in on our bike ride along the trail to Cherry Creek reservoir and they were very accommodating to put our bikes in the corner while we dined. The food continues to be terrific: the mapo tofu fabulous, just the right spice for my taste. Beef noodle soup excellent. The tsong you ping appetizer excellent. This is the spot to come for a really good Chinese in Denver. It's delicious! I've been a few times, and every experience is great! I highly recommend the orange chicken and pork with garlic sauce. The orange chicken, comes with dried pieces of orange, and it is sooo good! The pork with garlic sauce is fried pork strips with buttery garlic sauce over rice. I've never had anything like it, and I love this dish! Honey walnut shrimp is also very yummy, and the egg rolls are exceptionally good, don't skip these! You are served complimentary yeasty buns with sweetened condensed milk over as a dessert. They're really good! The restaurant is small, so be prepared to wait during the lunch and dinner rush. Takeout is also offered. I wouldn't recommend this spot for people with food allergies. I don't believe the menu is clearly marked for dietary restrictions. read more

Lovely family dinner here. Our waiter was David and he checked on us many times. We started off with crab cheese won ton with a sweet and sour sauce. Then had a delicious hot and sour soup which was not to spicy. We ordered off the special chef's menu which was translated into Chinese too. Nice touch. Our entrees were beef chow fun dry style, Yang Chow fried rice, sweet and sour shrimp. The shrimps were lightly battered and were not greasy and had the same sweet and sour sauce we use to make at our restaurant eons ago. There was so much food we had take home bags. This was very disappointing I used to eat here back in 2019 but since the owner passed away and new owner took over. The food has changed bland, smaller portions and less ingredients. I told the owner she was not very into making authentic seems like the food has got cheaply made and disgustingly disappointing I would not be surprised if they clean the chicken now in the alley to save costs. Please do yourself a favor and do not waste your money or time eating here! I called manager to let her know how food was and she said too bad basically. I enjoyed all of the menu items we ordered and I asked my wife the one deciding question if it is good enough. That question is "would you bring your parents here?". They were right on top of us with customer service. At first I was a little thrown off because he basically took the cup out of my daughters hands to refill it. But as our experience continued we realized they were just aiming for success! We ended up chatting with two employees. I asked her how they received so many reviews and they said they are just trying to do their best! I had the salt and pepper wings. It came with all kinds of stuff dumped on top. I do not care for that but the wings were ok. My meal was sesame chicken which had a little kick to it. The food came out pipping hot to the point of almost too hot! It came with a communal fried rice bowl. I have to say their fried rice was lacking flavor and no veggies of meat included. Where I come from, when you get fried rice it has more than just rice in it. Overall- great experience. Good portions, tasty food. Good presentation. Excellent customer service. Reasonable prices. My first clue and I should have just turned around, but we taking my 90 year old stepmother out for lunch. The sign on the door said they were looking to higher a chef. We ordered an appetizer of pork fried dumplings, and they were just ok. The sweet and sour chicken was terrible. The sauce was way too sweet, and coating on the chicken had a soggy texture. You knew it had been sitting in the sauce for a long, long time. The happy family wasn't any better, not at all fresh tasting. None of it tastes fresh as if they had prepared it, but something they bought from a restaurant food supplier. We hadn't been back to this restaurant since the original owners sold it. But I looked at the reviews, so I thought I would give it a try. After this experience, I'll drive down to Hong Kong station. read more
