Very clean restaurant, but with very limited seating. You can see the kitchen is clean because it's open to the public. The staff that assists you are very friendly. Nice clean bathrooms. The food is SPECTACULAR!! If you haven't been to this little Asian gem in Hoover, you need to go. I had the chicken curry, and a couple of spring rolls, one of my girlfriends had the seafood pho, and my other girlfriend had the chicken fried rice. Everything was so delicious! The taste was very authentic and we were pleased with every item we ordered. I can't say enough about this wonderful little spot.

Adequate for our needs although rather " vanilla " as far as authentic flavors. Service was friendly and helpful, restaurant was clean in dining area, did not use restrooms.

Seen this place a thousand times driving by and finally tried it today....probably will drive by it another thousand times before we come back again, if then, haha. The restaurant is a part of a small shopping complex. The interior is cute with 7 tables and some counter seatings. You order from the counter and I see 4 people total in the kitchen/counter area. Ordering is easy and the food comes out quick. Some ordering negatives. First of all, some of the pricing on their menu is apparently not right. For example, I ordered a boba tea. It says $4 on the menu but it rang up $5. When I asked, the employee said the menu is wrong. Sounds like they need to update the menu. I was going to post the menu pics with my post, but there is no point when the menu pricing isn't accurate. Then they charge you a 3.5% credit processing fee if you pay by credit card....which would be fine except when we tried to pay with cash, they didn't have change. So.....we had to pay by credit card and ended up paying a fee. Now, the food. We ordered a beef pho and a curry noodle. They were both okay. The beef in the pho is very tender, but there were only 4 small slices. They apparently put fish sauce in it already instead of letting you add it yourself if you want at the table. So that's a big yuck to me as I personally really don't like that fishy flavor/smell. Also, there isn't the same type of meat variety as there usually would be at a pho restaurant. So overall I would rather go to Saigon for my pho. I will give them props tho for having the right kind of soup spoon though....something Glass Panda can learn from. The noodle in the curry noodle bowl was overcooked. The flavor is okay, but not as good as Surin's. Also ordered a Thai tea with boba. It was okay. The boba was pretty chewy but the Thai tea flavor wasn't right because the condensed milk or the half/half ratio to tea is too high. So all in all, it's okay, but there are better in Birmingham.

It was a charming spot, a great location, and the staff was amiable. I enjoyed looking over the menu. They have many items to pick from, and the spring rolls are delicious. I will definitely be making a trip back to try more items

The pho tai nam here is authentic and flavorful. The combination of rare beef and brisket in the rich broth was delightful. The restaurant has a simple, no-frills vibe, but the food speaks for itself.

Their oxtail pho is a treat! The meat is tender and falls off the bone, and the broth is deep and rich. It's a bit pricier than other options, but the quality is worth it.

This pho was exactly what I was craving. The flavors were so well-balanced, and the ingredients tasted fresh. The broth had a deep, rich taste, making every spoonful so comforting.

It was so yummy. Loved the murals dedicated to East Asia too. We got the shrimp tempura 9/10 Chicken Pho 8.5/10 and the beef bulgogi 8.5/10. Food was super fresh and served right away. Most people were doing take out. A lot of the things are pr made for convenience and speed. Prices were also fair. I think most local businesses are struggling so everything might have a small up charge. We enjoyed our time here. It is super cute. The beef bulgogi flavor was money but it was a little too shredded and the bowl was mostly rice. The pho was so delicious and flavorful but it had a lot of rice noodles and not as much broth. I'd definitely come back. It's so close to my place and I'm so glad to have this option near by. Sit down is more like take out indoors. Most utensils and dishes are served in disposables. Water cups were too small but the pho bowls were immaculate and so were the spoons that came with it. Cashier wore a mask. They have boba tea here

I have been wanting to try Pho (pronounced fuh) for a while. I heard about this restaurant, which isn't far from my home, so I decided to stop by on this chilly day. As I entered, immediately noticed how bright and clean the restaurant is on the inside. The two ladies behind the cashier register had bright, beautiful hair. They noticed my blue hair and they complimented me. That made me feel nice. I ordered Beef Pho and Crab Angels. I decided to eat in because I heard Pho is best eaten fresh. There were not many people dining in so I felt comfortable eating there. My food was brought out to me and the employee put two sauces on my table. Everything looked great! The Crab Angels were really good. They don't hold back on the cream cheese. The Pho was delicious! I did add a little of the hosin and sriracha, which gave it more spicy taste. I really enjoyed this restaurant and I will be back to try some of the other items on the menu.

Pho Pho offers Pho (the traditional Vietnamese soup) and a whole lot more. I like Pho so I'd be satisfied with that, but don't expect other Vietnamese dishes. Instead, this restaurant offers popular dishes from different Asian cultures. For example, Korean Bulgogi, Thai Curry, and some Chinese stir fry. I think it is a grand idea because there is something everyone on the menu. The challenge Is can they do everything well? David L and I had lunch on Wednesday. We started with Crab Angles (every Asian menu need something misspelled). I thought these were very good. Plump and hot. If you like cream cheese there is plenty of it. I didn't taste any crab, but I seldom do in this prep. I ordered the Chicken Curry Noodle. They brought out a steaming hot bowl of rice noodles in a chicken curry soup. The broth was thick and rich, and there was more noddles then soup. It didn't have an strong curry flavor which I would have preferred, but it it was still good. It is a big bowl, and the noodles will fill you up. I actually didn't finish my bowl. David ordered the Thai Basil Chicken. He said it was good, but not the best he had ever had. It was a large portion and he took home leftovers. They also offer boba, and I ordered a Mango Boba. Normally I get boba in a slushee, but they only offer it on ice. Some may prefer this, but I don't like fishing through the ice to get to the balls. When you finally get one it comes up the straw too fast!

But I think it's great that they have a place like this here. So, the menu is limited, but it is great for a novice hot pot customer because they won't be overwhelmed. There is only one type of noodles you can get (glass noodles), and only a few selections of red meat and vegetables. But hey, I won't complain, because you can't get it elsewhere. The meat I received were super fatty. There were some when the fat was around 80% of the meat itself. Veggies were good! They have a bar of sauces and other foods you can get and add to your hot pot. Broth was fine, it wasn't anything particular to rave about. The service was great - people were so friendly and nice. They tended to us pretty well. The ambience was really cool! They have screens around the restaurant that play K-pop music videos, which was a super cool touch. 5/5 for the ambience.

The moment I walked into Seoul Restaurant, I knew I was in for something special. Grandma was relaxing in her recliner watching TV in the dining room, the husband was taking care of the front of the house, the wife was hard at work in the kitchen, and the entire place had the kind of warmth and charm you simply can't manufacture. The service? Let's just say he wasn't there to become my new best friend. He was polite, efficient, and all business. When I asked if I could add cheese to my Army Stew, he immediately answered, "No cheese." From the kitchen, his wife overheard the conversation, called him back, and a minute later he returned with two slices of American cheese anyway. She knew exactly what I was after. It was one of those little moments that made the place feel even more authentic. The homemade banchan was outstanding. Every dish tasted fresh, thoughtfully prepared, and like recipes that have been made the same way for years. We ordered a pajeon, but asked if they could make it with only scallions instead of seafood. Without hesitation, they did--and it ended up being my favorite style of pajeon. Crispy around the edges, tender in the center, and absolutely packed with scallions. Then came the star of the meal: Budae Jjigae (Army Stew). I'd honestly never seen it on a Korean restaurant menu before, so ordering it was an easy decision. The pot was massive, filled with Spam, sausage, beef, ramen, mushrooms, vegetables, tofu, and bubbling spicy broth. It was comforting, hearty, and somehow even better after everything had simmered together. There was so much food that we had leftovers for days, and somehow it tasted even better the next day. What I appreciated most was that nothing about Seoul Restaurant felt trendy or manufactured. The menu focused on comforting Korean classics, the portions were incredibly generous, the prices were more than fair, and every bite felt like it came from a family recipe rather than a corporate kitchen. If you're looking for polished, over-the-top hospitality, this probably isn't your place. But if you want to feel like you've wandered into someone's home, where Grandma is watching TV, the husband is running the dining room, the wife is cooking from the heart, and every dish tastes like it's been perfected over decades... Seoul Restaurant is exactly where you want to be. We'll absolutely be making this a stop every time we're back in Alabama.

I was completely sold when she told me she had an alcoholic drink that included Boba, which was called Boba on the Beach. It was really good. From first look this place looks pretty cool from the outside to the inside. The pictures and painted walls were esthetically pleasing. I could see many people taking photos all around that place. Even the bathroom had a cool Panda picture on it. We were also informed by staff that there is a lot more to be done there. Of course we ordered tons of food but I will only be speaking on what I ate there. Let's start with the Korean Corndogs. I got one regular and the other one covered in blue Takis. The regular one was good, hot, and crunchy. They don't really look like traditional Korean Corndogs so visually they don't look good at all I would definitely recommend them do it the traditional way if possible. However the way they stack it is great. How most K-Dogs are done you have the cheese at the top and the hotdog at the bottom. Here they do cheese meat cheese meat like a kabob and to me that's how all K-dogs should be. I definitely preferred the original one over the Taki one. The OG gets an 8/10 and the Taki one a 7/10. The scores would be higher for both but I knocked a point for the presentation and the Taki one didn't taste like Taki at all and in my opinion I would have used hot cheetos instead. I also tried the Korean Fried Chicken nuggets and those were really good. The flavor was there and so was the crunch and that juicy chicken. Highly recommend these (they also have regular KFC drumstix/legs). 8.5/10 Next up the Bulgogi Bao. The buns were super soft like pillows which was a great start. The meat itself was good but could have been just a bit more tender. When you eat bulgogi beef it should nearly melt in your mouth. With that said whatever the sauce that was used was a bit salty but not inedible. I also would have preferred a cold slaw in there besides lettuce to help cut the salt with the sauce. That sweetness of the slaw would have made a huge difference. 6.8/10 Everything else that was ordered according to my friends was well received and we all left with empty plates and only 1 Togo box. Final thoughts: I will definitely come back here to eat again no question. I would love to see takoyaki added to the menu as well as some street food dessert items I could name a few. But this place was great. The staff was awesome and took time out to speak with us and gave great back story about the restaurant as well as some great recommendations. The drink menu is awesome to with lots to choose from, from milk tea all the way to alcohol. Service alone was 10/10 great staff. Decor was 9.5/10. If you have not been here yet please go check this place out. I'm already ready to go back!

They have other veg options, but I set my sights on that bowl as soon as the friendly counter guy suggested it. It's overloaded with goodness--avocado, deliciously marinated tofu, edamame (yes, it's a protein-rich bowl), tomatoes, shredded carrots, diced cucumbers, greens and more. You're literally devouring the rainbow here, friends. For drinks, they have a modest but decent selection of beer, wine (a decent bubbly in a can!) and sake in addition to soft drinks. King Buffet opened in 2023 in a space formerly occupied by Golden Corral. It's pleasantly renovated and as clean as an establishment can be for a buffet concept. There are all the classics here and a few nice extras, like crab. The seafood at King Buffet is plentiful, but to be fair, not particularly good.
