Arguably the best pho house in Fresno, distinguished by exceptional food quality, a welcoming atmosphere, and an outstanding overall experience. Only one other restaurant--the original Nho Kitchen on East McKinley Avenue--comes close in matching the rich, deeply savory broth and tender meats of their signature beef noodle soup. Both are levels above any other pho I have tried in the county. This Vietnamese family-owned restaurant is located on the northeast corner of East Cesar Chavez and South Winery Avenues in the Asian Village Shopping Center. It is a small but very popular spot with seating for about 40 people, and there is usually a line waiting to be seated--a clear sign of how well-loved it is. I ordered the #1 Dac Biet Xe Lua, a large bowl of traditional Vietnamese beef noodle soup with rare steak, well-done brisket, flank steak, tripe, and meatballs. The heart of any great bowl of pho is the broth, and this one truly shines. It was rich, clear, and beautifully balanced, with a deep beefy flavor and subtle notes of ginger, onion, star anise, cinnamon, and coriander. The depth and umami come from beef bones simmered for hours, resulting in a clean, non-greasy broth that allows the aromatics to stand out. The texture was distinctively gelatinous and luxurious--something most pho houses in town simply cannot replicate. It honestly felt like sipping liquid gold. The meats were fresh, tender, plentiful, and generously portioned. The rice noodles were perfectly cooked, with the ideal ratio of noodles, broth, and meat. Fresh bean sprouts, lime, basil, and sliced jalapeños completed the bowl, creating a savory, comforting, and well-balanced experience. Everything was served piping hot, which enhanced the aroma and released the full bouquet of spices. The pho here compares favorably to some of the best pho houses in Orange County's Little Saigon. I also tried the gỏi cuốn (Vietnamese fresh spring rolls), which were well-sized, fresh, and springy. They were filled with plump shrimp, succulent pork, rice noodles, herbs, and vegetables. The flavors were clean and vibrant, the textures well-balanced, and the presentation colorful and appetizing. The service deserves special recognition. From the moment I walked in, I was warmly welcomed by the entire staff. Their friendliness, professionalism, and attentiveness were exceptional--service quality you would expect from a high-end restaurant, not a modest pho house. Servers constantly monitored the dining room, ensuring water glasses were full and checking on guests without being intrusive. The food arrived quickly, tables were promptly cleared, and the restaurant was spotless throughout my visit. It was clear that cleanliness and efficiency are top priorities. Many who dine here are regulars and I see why. The staff remembers faces and orders, and made me feel like a valued guest right away. Being a family-run restaurant, everyone is knowledgeable about the menu and happy to offer recommendations. I asked about their popular bone marrow dish, which uses the same marrow that gives the broth its incredible richness. A server kindly brought me a complimentary sampler--an above-and-beyond gesture that made my experience even more memorable. Served dramatically with massive bones and a steak knife, the marrow was rich, sweet, buttery, and incredibly creamy. As a Vietnamese-American, this restaurant is probably our top favorite pho restaurant in Fresno. Since moving to Fresno earlier this year, my fiancé and I have tried a number of Vietnamese restaurants. In terms of flavor, authenticity, and cost, this one is the best. Upon walking in, we were greeted with a warm welcome. This seems to be a family establishment and from hearing the staff speak, Vietnamese-owned. The menu consists of several dishes that all sounded very good. However, we ordered the pho and were very surprised to how good it was. The broth had a great, dense flavor and not overpowered from the aromatics nor too much MSG. It was a great size and the noodles were cooked well. The vegetables provided were fresh as well. Besides the taste, the price is what really makes this place competitive. The price was very reasonable and lower than the majority of other pho restaurants. The amount of food was good and completely surprised us. We'll definitely be back.
Came back for my usual number #3 pho with no tripe The workers always greet you and have amazing customer service. It is a very clean and spacious restaurant I love bringing friends and family together. Today it is raining and they leave out a mat by the door for you to dry your shoes. This shows you the detail they have to keep the restaurant clean and organized. The pho broth is fresh and delicious as always, you don't need to add anything unless you want to. Had an amazing experience once again! I love coming here.
The pho broth is phenomenal! You don't need to even add anything. The service is great and amazing, they are always checking up on you and making sure everything is good and asking if we need refills. Our waitress even gave us raw onions and jalapeños on the side to make a dipping mixture to eat with our pho. I believe I order the number 3 which comes with mostly all the meats, I substituted my pho noodles for egg noodles and added Vietnamese ham. We got a bowl of bone morrow and omg the tendon and the meat surrounding it with the richness on the marrow is so delicious, you don't need to add on anything else just get the bone marrow and a meatball pho and call it a day! So good. The egg soda was great and their Thai tea. I like how they have shrimp paste and Thai chili as well. 10/10!
This place serves some of the best Pho I've had in town. Their Pho is flavorful, and the broth is made fresh and taste very authentic and clearly is made fresh every day. The portions are generous with lots of meat, food, and seafood options to choose from. The restaurant has always busy even though the dining area is on the small side, but it's absolutely worth the weight. If you're going for the full experience, you need to try the bone marrow, it is a must. They also offer a variety of teas and smoothies, which are perfect to pair with your meal.
Located in a busy Plaza with ample parking lot. Came into town and wanted to give this place a try. Ordered #1 beef combo pho which had plenty of meat and side order of bone marrow. Made my dip sauce of hoison sauce and sracha with chili oil to dip the meat with. However, the star of the show was this bone! Its a must order in my opinion. Delicious meat with soft tendon and fatty marrow inside. I had Two large bones in my side order and my brother had 3. I've never seen such humongous bones before and plenty too, usually ones in Sac is smaller and your handed just one. It was a surprising nice touch to the meal. Add some Sriracha hot sauce with the marrow and it's simply chefs kiss. Staff was friendly and came by to check often. The ambiance is better for group of 4-6 ppl, but I'm sure 8 settings is doable. I wouldn't mind cming again if I'm in the area.
We were looking for a new pho spot because our usual place changed owners and we hadn't been satisfied the past couple times. We found Pho Phuong Nine and were greeted as soon as we walked in and they were ready to take our order within minutes. Our drinks and main dishes came out super fast. The spring rolls took a while to come out but they were really good! This place is farther from our house but it's worth the drive. There was a homey feel with regulars coming in and the owners knew them. We'll definitely be back soon!
I'm convinced that this is thee best pho in Fresno hands down! I haven't went here for a while but used to always come during lunch break when I worked in the area.. this family owned business has been around for a long time! The broth just gets better and better. They have perfected it over the years IMO. They done leveled up too cus before that it was cash only and now they accept tap! That is a plus for me! I didn't eat inside this time, I ordered it to go. The customer service is excellent. The girl that took my order is nice and always smiling. I forgot which number pho I ordered but it was a large and it came with some beef and tendon, and I also added the big ass bones that has the bone marrow in it. That was the best part!!! Man they hooked it up with the bones tho cus I got some really big ass ones!! I also added the scallion oil or the green onion oil with my order. Idk what it's called but I like to top my pho with it. It's flavorful and fragrant. The broth alone is already really good. It's nice and clear and u can taste the beefy flavor. Not too salty either. Dont have to season if u don't want to but I like to doctor mine up with loads and loads of chili oil.. add some hoisin and lime and it's good to go. Bomb af. I had enough pho packed for a second round. I split my order up. That's how big the large was. Also did a hoisin and siracha dip for my meats. It was delicious! Definitely coming here again and most likely ordering the same thing.

We LOVE their beef bones as they have so much tendon! Definitely worth the wait. Used to come often and glad the food hasn't changed and is still good. Highly recommend!
I was hungry and looking for some pho , we were in the area so decided to come here for food . It looks like the offer a huge bone marrow addition to add to your pho for only $5, I was planning to order it but they ran out by the time we ordered . I saw it on other peoples tables and it looked so yummy and hefty with tons of cartilage . This is a pretty popular pho spot and it was busy . The pho was good and I'll definitely be back and will come earlier to order the bone marrow . Pay cash for 2.5% discount from credit card fee !
One of the best pho places in the central valley. It's not fussy just good food. Always ask if they have bone marrow. As its a huge piece that they use for the broth and still has some meat and cartilage for a very low price. I also get the bun (vermicelli salad); good balance of noodles and veggies. Just a note they no longer make the version that comes with an eggroll as they dont make eggrolls anymore. The staff is super friendly and attentive. As of September 2025, they accept credit cards now too. It used to just be cash or cash app. It can get very busy and you might have to wait and those wait times vary. The decor is okay, its definitely not a fancy place and seating can be tight. A very casual place, that has delicious food.
Miss home Asian food while visiting Yosemite. The kiddo was craving pho and we found this place on the way home. Thank you yelp family for the recommendation! Noticed a fellow yelper and old friend who made a stop here as well a few yrs ago. So cant say no to that! Food was delicious and authentic! It is limited to what Im used to but completely understands due to the area and preferences of the community. Most important is the main items are good. Let say it was good enough I wished I had more. Almost ordered for seconds! Got #1 plus bone marrow and #41 pork chop with eggs rice plate. Then topped it off with Vietnamese coffee for the long drive home. I barely drank half and feel the jitters already so drink in sips, people! Then again I recently cut back on coffee which doesn't help but you have been warned if you don't drink coffee routinely. What stood out extra was the amazing customer service. I've found a pho that breaks my heart (because I don't live in Fresno and can't have this pho every day for the rest of my life.) This pho has a deep, rich, and flavorful broth, with a generous amount of meat. Our server encouraged us to melt some of the marrow into the broth, resulting in a silky and decadent soup. It is easily one of the best phos I've had in America, hands down. All of the staff is super friendly, and I never felt like I was waiting for too long to put in an order or get a refill. Once again back here.. and I keep bringing more people who love it! Walked in and we were seated right away with once again huge smiles. Ordered pork chop, hot tea and pho with marrow which I have already reviewed. Pork chop and sauce is a number two seller directly behind the pho. When I want a pork chop, I want it moist, and the fat crispy and salted and seasoned well. This hit every single mark! I normally care that I am in a restaurant and don't chew on bones. I did not have one care in the world and picked up my pork chop bone and chewed every single crispy morsel of caramelized goodness from that bone. The sauce that accompanies the pork, rice and egg was slightly sweet and was the perfect balance to dip rice and pork into! It was light and bright and enhanced the flavors not overpowering them. The egg. It is surprising how many places can't cook an egg where the yolks natural fatty goodness isn't overcooked. I busted the yolk and let it drip all over my rice mixing it in to give the perfect amount of salt and fat mixed with the swing pork and sauce! It was a perfectly delicate bite filled with different textures! I will definitely order this again! The hot tea is made with natural herbs in it and not a cheap paper tea bag like other places. Solid pho and friendly fast service. We got the 12 which just has the steak and add shrimp and the broth was perfect, you don't need to add too much in. The side of bone marrow was also a nice addition too! Highly recommend coming here! read more

Pho was perfect temperature. Portions are just right. Very attentive staff. We were greeted as soon as we walked in. Our pho came out soon after ordering. Our veggies looked and tasted fresh. Walking in the atmosphere was so nice. The equivalent of coming home after a long day at work. The staff is so nice and welcoming. I had multiple people come and check on the table often. And don't get me started on the food. I had the #2 and the BROTH IS AMAZING! If you're someone that doesn't add much to their pho this is THE spot. Edit: came in another day and GOD still amazing service! I watched them help other guess and move tables and chairs to accommodate to them. Top tier food with amazing service. When I'm in the mood for Bone Marrow and a side of Pho, it's definitely this pho shop! I don't know anywhere else here in Fresno that has the option for marrow. Pho comes out piping hot, bones are massive and it comes with two bones, one large, one medium with plenty of meat and gelatinous yumminess. Feeling a bit tired and down? Try out their iced Vietnamese coffee which will surely be nice for the early morning or midday pick me up. Only thing is that they close a little earlier than other pho restaurants and you can always order to go. The sign and everything is classic pho shop setup, with all the sauce and seasoning on deck. The service is prompt and food comes out in a timely manner, you'll forget any time has passed by once your bone marrow arrives, it's time to dig in! Leave a tip for the ladies! read more

I went there due to all the hype everyone kept saying that this spot was one of the best pho spot in Fresno. I went during lunch hour so it was pretty packed. But their customer service was on point, fast and friendly. Their pho broth was okay only to my opinion! But honestly the place was small and tight. But they have good AC! The food was so flavourful, I like my soup savoury not sweet and most places make it too sweet, here it was perfect! It really didn't need anything but I like spice so had to add all the toppings lol. The service was top notch, they took real good care of me and hooked it up with my bone marrow order, had me sipping it with a boba straw.... Super friendly up beat vibes high energy. The tables looked clean as well as the floor, they pick up after every customer, not like most places where they let the dishes pile up and flies get in annoying the heck out of everyone. Over all this was a 10/10 for me, I highly recommend it. I took my son who is vegetarian, and he ordered veggie fried rice, he was good with that, I'm hoping they incorporate more vegetarian dishes but if they don't I'm still going back LOL. read more

Went here after a day trip in Fresno. It literally is like a hole in the wall. The food was very delicious honestly the best pho we have had. The broth was very flavorful and the portions were more than enough. I had the rice plate and that was also very flavorful meat was seasoned very well and the egg with the rice was the best for me. Daughter had the noodle plate and that was also very good. Everything was delicious and like I said well worth it! Service was fast and they were really friendly. I usually make pho at home but if I'm feeling lazy, this is my to go spot. This is one of the better places in Fresno for pho. The broth is seasoned so well that you don't need any other seasonings. But I'm a salty girl, so I always need a little extra. And guess what? They provide that. They have hella condiments on their table. Because pho is customizable, they know that. So I've been to quite a few pho places in California and Arizona and this one is my favorite. The broth is phenomenal, honestly you could not add anything to it all and it's perfect. The people there are awesome, so cool and make you feel invited. Eventually I won't be working in the Fresno area anymore and that sucks but I definitely come here as often as I can while I am. read more
