Huong Lan is a dependable choice for satisfying Vietnamese food in Fresno. The 4-star rating is earned by the consistently delicious food, especially the Bánh Mì (sandwiches) and the vermicelli bowls. The portions are generous, and the pricing is very reasonable, ensuring a filling and affordable meal. Service is friendly and highly efficient, making it perfect for a quick lunch or casual dinner. I docked one star because there is a sewage smell outside premise.

Last time I wrote a review for here I complained that the banh mi was skimpy on the meat. This time around it seems packed. Their new flavor for the banhmi was delicious. I'd definitely get that again. Still not the biggest fan on the bread but it's okay. Real star is that shaking beef. Really good. The beef was seasoned well. The garlic noodles were supperrrrrr garlicky. I like that. I'd probably get a side of rice next time but yeah. I'm definitely coming back for that alone. Really good.

Great restaurant to enjoy noodles soup! Good service and great location. Very close to the highway 41 and shopping centers close by.

Packed house during lunch on Sunday. Ordered a warm bowl of pho for the chilly day. The broth was good, service was good.

Idc what anyone says, they still have the best Viet sandwiches. Bread is fluffy and the pate&bo(viet mayo) isn't skimped. They have the option to order ahead of time and pick up. The place isn't the newest but it's still good. Idk about their other items but this is a sandwich specific review.

On this occasion, we dined in, versus our normal take out. We chose a booth over a table on a not-so-busy Thursday night. It was clean, quaint, and quiet. Ordered from the menu, paid at the front, selected where to sit, and the food was served when ready. We ordered Thai Ice tea, Crispy Chicken Wings, Special Combo Pho Noodle Soup, Mini Pho Noodle Only Soup, and Korean Short Ribs over Rice. Hoping to return soon, especially for a (banh mi) sandwich, grilled pork.

Decided to enjoy a nice bowl of Pho. I ordered the Beef Combination Pho which was a good size. The Pho was very delicious and flavorful. They have a good selection of sauces to add and I specifically like their chili pasta sauce. I decided to take a milk tea home for dessert and it hit the spot. The staff were very friendly and tentative. The ambiance was nice and relaxed and they have TVs playing either the news or sports channel.

This place is one of my favorites. The food is delicious I love the pho and ban mi, there is lots of room to sit and chill and the service is nice, they aren't ones to check in but they are really fast and everything is delicious. (Try the small egg rolls)

I'm pretty easy when it comes to Pho. If it's good, it's good. It's gotta be noticeably bad for me to complain about Pho. Huong Lan has got their Pho down. I love that there are different meat combo options (I get the Brisket and Flank), and also size options. They now have a 'mini' option which is what I get if I plan on getting their Bahn Mi as well. Mmm!!! So far... of all the places I've tried in Fresno... they still hold the title for the best Sandwiches, in my opinion. There's still a few places I have yet to try... but as of now-- they're #1. I loveee their Combo sandwich, #12. EXTRA PÂTÉ for me, pleaseeeee! Yum! The meats, the veggies, the baguette... perfection. If you're not feeling Pho or Banh Mi, the Vermicelli bowls are good and I also sometimes (always) crave the Banh Cuon, but hardly ever order it. If we ever decide on appetizers?... it's usually the Shrimp Spring Rolls. Light and refreshing. The Pork Ball ones are good too but I prefer them without that greasy, fried eggroll wrap or whatever it is they throw in there. For spice, just add Sriracha to your peanut sauce... bomb. For beverages, I usually stick to water but occasionally get the Coconut Juice, iced, no boba. So refreshingly good. I enjoy their Iced Coffee as well (the strong stuff). As for service, if they're not super busy, you'll be seated immediately and if you're ready (which we usually are), we order right away... and get our food right away. They're pretty attentive, but if not... it's not hard to get someone's attention. There's always someone walking around either serving or bussing. Once you're done, pay up front (they sell pre-packaged items as well in front), and be on your big back way!

They offer more noodles for free!

The servers were very attentive. The food all came promptly and were all enjoyable. I came for what I was craving for and got it.

I like me some banh mi and this place had the Vietnamese sandwiches. I have eaten here before in San Jose, but now I'm in Fresno again because of some personal family business. I had the shredded chicken banh mi and for its price tag, it was filling and tasty. It was decent;however, I have had better banh in elsewhere, not going to lie, but it was standard and had a wonderful texture and bite to it from what I remember. I also got the vermicelli noodle dish with egg rolls and chicken meat. The chicken was very tasty and fresh. It was cut with the bones in. The egg rolls were fried and also good. The sauce put into the bowl was decadent and the portion size was great. Little pricey for the quantity and quality but overall I enjoyed eating the bowl and the sandwich. The service was friendly, but also fast and interior was calm and comforting. As the title says, it is cozy and delightful as I expected. The seats were arranged nicely and all seats were comfortable and in good locations. Overall, I enjoyed the food and although it wasn't the best Vietnamese food I have had, the experience, comfort and convenience had me happy.

You'll then have to wait to be seated at the register. I think this set-up is kind of awkward but hey, at least they have cute sidewalk seating. There are plenty of tables and long benches to sit at and the restaurant itself feels clean and well-lit! The staff are super helpful also. Tried the House Special Beef Pho and it was pretty tasty! You do have the option to order your dish with regular thin noodles, flat noodles, or egg noodles. The broth is basil-y and the flavor has great depth. They have a self-serve station for condiments where you can grab some chili oil, jalapeños, bean sprouts, and lime. My favorite thing about this restaurant is that I don't feel too bloated after eating here (compared to other pho restaurants). Been enjoying this restaurant and eating here at least once a week!

My memory is shot. I don't want to be handing out 5 stars so easily but I think they deserve it. The restaurant is very clean, and I love the little Asian lanterns they have, all different, above each table. Plenty of seating. When we got there (a little after 5), there was only one other table occupied... by the time we left (6:30), every table was nearly taken. Our waitress, as well as the other on the floor, were both very welcoming and friendly. They handled the service remarkably as a team. The fact that they were a packed house and still were very attentive with us, checking how we're doing, checking on our water refills... these are the little things I appreciate most (and, of course, good food). I got the Pho with the Fatty Brisket, my friend got just the Steak Pho. They have a bar against the wall with all garnishes you may need to grab what you'd like. This is pretty smart... It saves them from waste. Instead of giving people items they may not use-- they would just grab what they'd like themselves. My friend grabbed her goodies, I prefer mine as is. To me, if your broth is good and doesn't require me to flavor it... I'll eat it just like that (unless I feel like adding spice). I've only ever been to a few other Pho places where I had to season up the broth myself...definite no no for them. All my friends who have gone out to eat Pho with me know I eat it just how I get it. Pho from my Mama is a different story though... I put the works (not because it's not flavorful) but, it's just different. Moving on... They also have a Teazona in their establishment. I've tried a few different drinks in the past but came to regularly deciding on the Tiramisu Milk Tea (no flan for me, light boba). Make sure to shake it well. You can also let them know your preference on the level of sweetness. We both got this tonight and it nearly tipped me over on the full scale. Couldn't finish it. Everything was really good though. Pho was the perfect choice for this weird, gloomy weather we've been having. The price is a bit up there but that seems to be the norm everywhere nowadays. But-- for the portion, the quality, and the service? Worth it.

Located in the Barnyard shopping center this Vietnamese restaurant is a little dated, but don't let the decor deter you. The food is in incredible! I ordered a large bowl with thin sliced meat balls along with spring rolls for the table. First off, I should've gotten a small bowl of pho, the large bowls here are massive. I had plenty of leftover for the next day and the day after! The broth was delicious with deep rich flavors and the noodles were slightly al dente, which I loved. I couldn't help myself and active point picked up my bowl and just started sipping the broth. My wife ordered the same thing as I, minus the meatballs and she too, could not get over how much flavor the broth had, almost like they had been slow cooking this for the past three days straight. The spring rolls were 100% handmade and the filling inside was delicious. We did bring our kids with us and we're definitely nervous because they are very picky eaters. They do offer a kids menu, but there isn't much to it. It's basically rice broth and your choice of meat. We ordered my 4-year-old daughter a small bowl of rice with broth and chicken; she loved this and kept asking for more! My son (7) went big and ordered pho with squid... he inhaled everything! Even asking if we could order more squid on the side to which we did and he ate that as well. This was huge win for mom and dad, now we can do pho to the family dining out rotation. This is a family own restaurant and the staff here is incredibly friendly and helpful.
