This place is suchhhh an underrated spot! Awarded for their Lao/Thai/Chinese cuisine a few years in a row and I can definitely tell why! My friend and I came here, she's vegan also, and we ordered the vegetable spring rolls w peanut sauce, vegetable pad Thai (not on the menu but they made it vegan for her), and orange chicken with chow mein(#5) with a iced Thai tea to top it all off! The spring rolls were to die for with the peanut sauce- we added peanuts and chili oil that they have on the table along with plenty of additions! My orange chicken and chow mein were as I described, how you'd expect the yummy food you see on tv to taste, so so perfect. The Thai tea was seriously the best I've had in town in a long time, it's as sweet as I like itttt and only $5 so I'll be coming back for that a lot! The restaurant was empty so there wasn't much wait, the service was great and the woman working was very sweet. I'd recommend coming here if you like Thai Lao or Chinese food! I'm planning on trying the red curry next!

First time here- Ordered: Mok Pa- Steamed Fish in banana leaf- Fresh and hot Sticky rice- Perfectly cooked Mango Salad- medium spicy, nice and dark like I like it- It was a really tart mango, like they chopped it close to the seed Pork Belly- Really good, the skin on it was my favorite out of all the restaurants i have tried. Price- $48 for everything. Service: They make you order first before you are able to sit down. Bff and I took awhile to look at menu because we had not been here before so if there were more people behind us and restaurant got packed, probably would have lost a table. Ambiance: Everything from utensils, napkins and water is self served. I did like that the sodas were refillable and it is next to Indian Sweets and Spices which is a cool Indian grocery store.

Absolutely loved this place!!! It was awesome. Great food and super clean. The guy who helped me was so kind and suggested the dragon fruit tea. So refreshing. Definitely coming back.

Super yummy lap food. I ordered medium pork larb. But the kitchen made it mild but spicy and tasty 3 flavors (spicy, savory, sour) since they heard me that I am from myanmar. Thank your very much the owner lady and the kitchen lady. Clean and spacious dining room.

Amazing local Lao spot. We stopped here on our drive back to SoCal from Yosemite. Their khao poon and red curry were just what we needed! Huge portions that are honestly good for 2 people each. Loved their papaya salad as well. Super authentic, so similar to what my Lao bestie's parents would serve to us in college. Comforting and casual atmosphere. Great for takeout too. Order at the cashier then pick an available table and they'll bring your food to you.

The food was delicious and the service was super warm and friendly. This place reminds me of a comforting meal at a family's home. Highly recommend coming here if you like great Lao's food made by great people.

When I first tried their first location, I wasn't impressed. But then I tried it again a year later and I was wowed. The food was delicious. I always recommend it to everyone. So I was pretty happy that there was one on this side of town. The pho was just okay. Not as flavorful like the other location. It was just different. Obviously their cooks are different but I was hoping they'd use the same recipe. (2/5) The namkhao was supercsalty. I think they forgot and put salt twice. But I think they should tasted it beforehand. (0/5) Mango sticky rice was okay, the mangos were a little bruised but that's okay. I do wish it was sweeter. (3/5) Overall I was pretty disappointed. I came in with higher expectations. But like their other location I will try it out again at a later date and hopefully they'll work it all out.

This place recently opened up. The menu is a little Lao, a little Thai, and a little Chinese. I went with the papaya salad (medium spice), lao style, and the shrimp spring rolls. The papaya salad was spicy! And I appreciated that. It was also delicious. The spring rolls were simple and fresh, and the peanut sauce that came with it was nice, maybe a little too thin. There was a great selection of condiments , which I always appreciate. I'll definitely back, but, fair warning, they don't hold back on the spice. The people here are super nice, and you can tell they are working hard to run a successful business and make people happy with good food.

We came from Sacramento for my husband's company Xmas party to Chukchansi but made a stop here bc it was recommended by Harris. We ordered to go bc our eta was close to their closing time. We got papaya salad, shrimp laab, grilled chicken, baked egg, sweet noodle, pork belly and oxtail pho. EVERYTHING was delicious! In addition the staff were super friendly. We'll definitely stop again when we're in the area.

9/17/24 Getting lunch! Large chicken pho ordered. The worker was very kind. Shrimp spring rolls ordered too! He said it would be ready shortly. I went to get it. Nice restaurant. Safe & clean. Greeted and the order was ready. I paid for it and he knew I was splitting it and added an extra bowl to make it easier. He also bagged it and wished me a good day! Appreciated! Lunchtime! Order split. Chicken pho was Really Delicious! Great! Even better with all the ingredients given to add to it & spice it up! Shrimp spring roll was fresh & tasty! Great peanut sauce to go with it too! Mother felt the same! Great service & Really Great lunch! Highly recommended!

Food is always bomb. But someone needs to clean out the soda machine. It's moldy and slimmy. If this is the level of cleanness La's kitchen represent then it can be worse in the back of the house.

Came here for dinner on a Friday and not too busy. Order at the counter and food is brought to you. We ordered egg rolls, orange chicken with Lo mein, and green curry. Ordered the orange chicken spicy and it wasn't, but the Lo mein was, so maybe there was a mix up. The egg rolls were tasty and the curry was very good. Ambiance was casual. Parking in the strip mall.

Chicken was flavorful & moist. Pork belly was crispy tho a tad dry. Sticky rice was nice good! Also ordered their spring rolls, noodles & mango w/sticky rice too. Spring rolls were soft & really fresh. My preference is combo shrimp pork together but they keep theirs separate, which is fine, just different style. Peanut sauce is really great! Sometimes it's too thick & peanut buttery or too thin & vinegary at other places. Theirs is perfect! Mango was a tad under ripe. Maybe not quite in season? but again, sticky rice on point. Noodles were plentiful & delicious! Thai iced tea was really nice! Really glad I got to try LA Kitchen. Will definitely be back again

It was super crispy without being hard, easy to bite into, and not overly fatty at all. Every sauce paired perfectly with the sticky rice, pork belly, and fried chicken. The chicken itself was incredibly moist and flavorful. I was secretly hoping for crispier skin, but honestly the flavor made up for it. Before leaving, I ordered the sausage with sticky rice plus both the shrimp and pork spring rolls to-go because I already knew I was going to want more later. The spring rolls were SO fresh and delicious. The shrimp wasn't overcooked, the pork was tender, and that peanut sauce absolutely tied everything together. The sausage was another standout, very flavorful, juicy, easy to chew, and perfect with the sticky rice. My only regret was forgetting to ask for chili oil before I left... thankfully I had some at home because it took everything to the next level. Big shoutout to Lana working the front counter, she was incredibly friendly and generous the entire time. I also got to meet La herself, and she was so warm and easy to talk to. They have a large seating area on the right side of the restaurant and condiments on every table. You can genuinely tell this place puts a lot of heart into the quality and flavors they serve. Definitely looking forward to going back and trying more of the menu.

They have a large variety of noodles here, pho, thai boat noodles, khao soy, khao poon, and also tons of other thai /cambodian / lao choices. We got a thai boat noodle, khao soy, and pork belly to share. The thai boat noodle and khao soy are delicious. It was my first time ordering khao soy I thought khao soy was a curry based dish, but my noodles were a pork based broth, still yummy though! The pork belly here is huge and served hot and super crispy, miles better than any other pork belly I've tried. The thai tea had an off putting flavor, like they had made it with soy mik? instead of condensed evaporated milk? Total was $83 after tax and tip, this place is pretty hole in the wall but even hole in the wall places have to charge more now to keep up with inflation. Great fast service !

Khao soy. Soy happy.*…read more Why Khao Soy? Because Kh-ao piek and Kh-ao poon feel as standardized as ph-o, but Khao Soi seems to vary from shop to shop. Not just the spelling. Just my observation. And this was amongst the top 3 of the Khao Soys I've had. Lao Kao Soi anyway. The Th-ai version is a different dish to me. I came here Sunday evening. Things were slow. I told him the order just as he gave me the menu, and in exchange, he gave me a plate of bean sprouts and lime wedge instead. Haven't seen that for Kao Soy yet. Then came the utensils. And soon, the ginormous bowl, nay, tub, of KaSoy. The last time I saw a bowl this big in the Bay Area was decades ago in a pho house. They don't make extra larges like they used to in SF. I felt like Patrick, longing, staring with excitement and anticipation at SpongeBob's Pea-nut On-ion Sun-dae , trying to hold down the giggles and butterflies while my eyebrows are sparking. Except this Khao Soy actually SMELLS GOOD. And I still have my eyebrows. And I was not disappointed. The soup was HOTTT, with 3 Ts. The size of the bowl helped keep it that way. The surface of the lava lake was covered by the ground pork that defines Khao Soy. Completely. Just look at the picture. (I took a sip of the broth with the spoon before the picture) I promise you that I didn't go in with a camera in my hand, or point my phone as if I'm taking a video. Maybe it's the end of the day and they were feeling generous or just needed the ground pork gone. Well, I used my phone as a phone, and I didn't use the camera until this bowl came out. Just trust me. The broth was rich with notes of fermented bean paste and heavy notes of garlic, cut by the freshness of tomatoes. Heavy by the standards of a rice noodle soup. The lime helps. You might want to use an extra wedge too. Don't hold back though. There's a treasure hunt in progress. You see, within this bowl were a bunch of roast pork pieces. Quality roast pork pieces. The chicharron still very crispy when I got to each piece. (But that doesn't mean you should sin by letting the chicharron get soggy!) Seems like others have their roast pork left on top, but mine had sunk to the bottom when the Khao soy had landed. No big. This is like how won-ton noodle soups are served when you're Canto, the best stuff at the bottom. What impressed was that the roast pork was still crispy! The particular flat rice noodles used seems to be re-hydrated dried noodles. Normally a downgrade but in this case, a good move. Yes, fresh noodles carry the soup better, but in this boiling cauldron, the noodles used handled the heat much better and longer. After I had finished the noodles, the soup was still very hot, enough that I added the bean sprouts, which were still cooked to a point that they were absorbing the soup's flavor. I tried to finish the soup, but failed. Soooo close, but I have a drive to drive, and I don't want to have an accident on the way back. I don't know where the actual banos are in Los Banyos, and they're probably closed by the time I'm passing through. Now mind you, this is about as heavy as rice noodle soup will get. Take your time once you've found the chicharron. Share it if you can. Don't rush like me or you'll be burping garlic like I did rushing back to SF. If you are on a drive between SoCal and SF Bay or Sac, may I suggest taking the 99 instead of the 5? Instead of hours of just brown yellow and gas stations, you can stop at cities with proper markets. Instead of grab and go fast food or selling your kidney at Harris, why not enjoy some proper, affordable, sit-down chow in Fresno? Maybe this will open your eye to new foods as well! *(Yes. Yes. Terrible espanyol, if you can even call that Spanish, don't come at me with chanclas, pour favour!)
