This place is suchhhh an underrated spot! Awarded for their Lao/Thai/Chinese cuisine a few years in a row and I can definitely tell why! My friend and I came here, she's vegan also, and we ordered the vegetable spring rolls w peanut sauce, vegetable pad Thai (not on the menu but they made it vegan for her), and orange chicken with chow mein(#5) with a iced Thai tea to top it all off! The spring rolls were to die for with the peanut sauce- we added peanuts and chili oil that they have on the table along with plenty of additions! My orange chicken and chow mein were as I described, how you'd expect the yummy food you see on tv to taste, so so perfect. The Thai tea was seriously the best I've had in town in a long time, it's as sweet as I like itttt and only $5 so I'll be coming back for that a lot! The restaurant was empty so there wasn't much wait, the service was great and the woman working was very sweet. I'd recommend coming here if you like Thai Lao or Chinese food! I wanted to stop to grab lunch after a laundry day. I always order their khao piak and today they happen to be all sold out. Most of their food items were sold out. Thai tea tasted water down and they don't have all of their flavors for their sugarcane drinks. On top, their prices are expensive. Very disappointing. read more

First time ordering from this location as I usually order from the kings canyon location. Called ahead for a small party tray of pork belly. The price has definitely gone up from the last time I got last year now around $135 and I get it but the quality has to justify the price. The pork was tough and chewy not crunchy at all. Price- $48 for everything. Service: They make you order first before you are able to sit down. Bff and I took awhile to look at menu because we had not been here before so if there were more people behind us and restaurant got packed, probably would have lost a table. Stopped by today first time. Ordered Shrimp Pad Thai, the flavor was good but the shrimp were like chewing on leather. Way over cooked. Also ordered Pad Grapao (sp) chopped basil chicken. Not quite what I expected. The chicken was very dry and you could not mix the rice with sauce. read more

Amazing local Lao spot. We stopped here on our drive back to SoCal from Yosemite. Their khao poon and red curry were just what we needed! Huge portions that are honestly good for 2 people each. Loved their papaya salad as well. Super authentic, so similar to what my Lao bestie's parents would serve to us in college. Comforting and casual atmosphere. Great for takeout too. The pork belly with sticky rice is so good! I also had the cucumber salad and papaya salad, which was excellent. I ordered the mild and I'm glad I did, it was just the right amount of spice for this Mexican. I was amazed at how much food I got for the price. When I first tried their first location, I wasn't impressed. But then I tried it again a year later and I was wowed. The food was delicious. I always recommend it to everyone. So I was pretty happy that there was one on this side of town. The pho was just okay. Not as flavorful like the other location. It was just different. Obviously their cooks are different but I was hoping they'd use the same recipe. (2/5) The namkhao was supercsalty. I think they forgot and put salt twice. But I think they should tasted it beforehand. (0/5) Mango sticky rice was okay, the mangos were a little bruised but that's okay. I do wish it was sweeter. (3/5) Overall I was pretty disappointed. This place recently opened up. The menu is a little Lao, a little Thai, and a little Chinese. I went with the papaya salad (medium spice), lao style, and the shrimp spring rolls. The papaya salad was spicy! And I appreciated that. It was also delicious. The spring rolls were simple and fresh, and the peanut sauce that came with it was nice, maybe a little too thin. There was a great selection of condiments , which I always appreciate. I'll definitely back, but, fair warning, they don't hold back on the spice. I think this might be the fourth tenant at this location serving up Thai & Lao food. The menu fits on one page, not a huge variety of dishes, but enough to make you think. You order at the counter, then seat yourself. I ordered chicken pho which I intended on sharing with my non-beef eating hubby. When brought to the table, we inquired and found out that it was made with beef broth. It could have used a bit more seasoning, the broth wasn't bland, but needed a lil' something. It was a deceivingly huge serving, I'll probably get two more meals out of it. Luckily the hubby also ordered a papaya salad which he really liked. Now straight to the food the pork belly is just the star of the show 10/10 crispy but still with tons of meat. The egg rolls were perfectly cooked crispy and soft in the inside. The chicken is also amazing the only thing is that the chili jelly it comes with is no where near as good as AC Delli. This is a recent new location of LA Kitchen! I was super excited to hear that they have opened up another restaurant. Unfortunately this one is approximately just as far from my home lol. Came in town and drove straight here since I was excited to try out their new location. It wasn't too busy since it was the middle of the day in the middle of the week. Dined in with my significant other and they took our order swiftly and had asked whether we would like to dine in or to go. We chose to dine in since it was pretty much empty and we wanted to enjoy it and savor it. The iconic fried pork is as good as expected. I wish were was more pepper dip. The papaya salad didn't taste crazy special or funky. I wouldn't call it their staple or special but it was still pretty good. We got medium but I felt like it hit me like a mild. The restaurant was clean and there was free water! Definitely would come back since the foot traffic isn't as bad as their original location. They had fountain drinks but machine was not working properly as they ran out of ice. ( but I was not there for that). I mean honestly when you think about it Lao Foods have the main base ingredients and everyone has their own little personal tweaked out version of the dishes. When I'm craving some quick Lao food, I order a full order of their crispy pork belly which comes with their tangy garlicky pepper sauce. Jeow som. Their Lao pho with pork belly and Thai boat with pork belly are some nice soups to have when I'm feeling a little hungover. You pay for your food first then have a seat.
