I eat a lot of pho because i'm vietnamese . However , this place is pretty mediocre for vietnamese cultured food. Starting off, the service people were pretty rude besides one lady. She got my order wrong and had a mean face . i asked for a pork bun and she never gave it then when I went to go ask for another one she brought out a rock hard bun that was still frozen. So happy that we found a Pho place in Breckenridge. It's a great change from all the burgers, pizza and bar food that seems to be the theme in the downtown Breck. It's a tiny casual restaurant. You line up, tell them what you want, and they will make the order right there and then, one by one. There's only 3 options: Pho, vermicelli bowl, or banh mi. For each item, you get to choose 1 meat/protein ($2 for extra meat), and unlimited ingredients/toppings/veggies. I'm surprised that the Pho broth is very tasty (I eat a lot of Pho) for being in Breck. They give a good amount of meat. Condiments (hoisin, sambal, sriracha) are on the table. FOOD REVIEW 3.5 *****HYGIENE 1******* *****Lack of peanut allergy awareness I am giving them a 1 based on the fact I would never eat there again due to the hygiene. I went on 12/29 to get food to go. The line was long and they have 2 long tables downstairs. Upstairs there seems to be a few more tables but I didn't go up. I was second in line and the two girls in the front apologized to the line that they were going to serve plates to those seated and finish to-go orders before taking more orders. Fair. I waited 10 min. I thought that food must be worth the wait! As I waited against the serving glass I watched how the girls made the pho. They both had their hair pulled back and wore plastic gloves. But, they never changed their gloves! One girl came carrying a metal container with raw meat, then helped do two dumpling orders, she put one hand in a plastic container that had peanuts, sprinkled it on dumplings, then sprinkled mint on some soups served by other girl. She walked away, brought a box from the back, put the containers in them.... Rang it up ...touching the register, printed a receipt, taped it on box... then proceeded to help the other server by taking out spoons from plastic wrappers, putting them in soup bowl, and taking the plates to the table. All with the same gloves! The guy in front of me left. I looked and made a comment to the other person behind me who was in disbelief too. It was my time to put my order. Not to embarrass the girl I asked nicely if she could change her gloves bc I saw her touch peanuts and I am allergic to peanuts. Her reply: don't worry the other girl will prepare your food. Ha?! Ok I payed. Something happened and she asked girl something in her language. Changed her gloves. But then other girl came up with her gloves on, touched the register and asked me to swipe again. Dumplings ..... my husband like it BUT they were sprinkled with peanut shavings. Even after i tokd her about my peanut allergy! i didn't try any of the food but pho at that point. I got the Beef Pho with rare steak and a Singha, wife got the vermicelli with spring rolls. It's a bit pricey compared to what I'd pay back home, but not crazy for ski town. Me and Family dine here, the food is tasty and very fresh. The staff are very accommodating with my kids, they are very attentive and they ensure to put the spicy stuff on the side so my kids would enjoy their food. The portion of the food is very generous for its price. The presentation is very appetizing and tempting. The place is comfortable, they have high chair and outside tables with the most magnificent view of the mountain. Ordered a huge family order from them and the broth was not the worst but also not the best. We are from out of town so we didn't know what to expect. However, their service was quite awkward and not really put together. I asked them if there were sauces in the bag and they assured me there was but when I got home there wasn't any so everyone had to eat their pho plain. Their bahn mi was pretty good. Truly did not enjoy our food from this restaurant. The service was fine but the pho and fresh rolls were really bad. The fresh rolls were very poorly constructed and were falling apart before we even started eating them, and they basically only had lettuce in them. We got the vegan pho and the broth and noodles weirdly tasted like butter, and the tofu was raw and unpleasant to eat. There also were basically no veggies included with the vegan pho. The delivery was terrible. I ordered through Door Dash 3 pho's and requested all the side ingredients- basil, jalapeños, limes, cilantro, Brussels sprouts. All the standard for a pho to make it a pho. They didn't send anything. I couldn't even get them to send the items. They gave me a bit of a run around. Very disappointed. The pho tasted very basic. The owner saw my post and contacted me right away to make things right. The restaurant is very high on customer service and cares about satisfied customers. We did have lunch during the week as was the best food we had in Breckenridge hence the reason we ordered again. We will definitely be back but will be in person most likely. No more Door Dash. This place was interesting. They don't serve you, which is odd for a pho place, but whatever you can get past that. The place was pretty dirty and soup looked like it had been thrown on the wall. Again things you can get over. What made me never have the desire to go back was the food. We got our pho and it wasn't hot and the chicken was soooo dry it was hard to choke down. The pot stickers tasted like Costco ones you get out of the freezer. None of us who ate there were impressed by any means. We ordered across the menu for pickup, and none of it was good: -Pho with vegan broth, all garnishes, and shrimp...1 star. The shrimp was lukewarm, and simply bad. -Rice bowl with tofu, shrimp, mushrooms - all raw, cold and unseasoned - with no garnish around a ball of mush, similar to the minute rice that parents make for babies when introducing solids...0 stars. -Banh mi with tofu...1 star. What's going on with the raw, unseasoned tofu? For the same price as every other protein? Drenched in sriracha mayo to overwhelm the blandness. -Vegan broth (extra)...1 star. See the pho review from above - just awful. If this is what Breckenridge gives 4 stars, then do yourself a favor and try an equally unhealthy meal of pizza, burgers and fries for a better, tastier deal that won't make you feel sick in the end. This is Pho with a Chipotle concept. They assemble dishes over the counter. The pho was decent. The vermicelli bowl with beef had a lot of veggies which I like. The beef was heavily seasoned, not like the traditional Vietnamese grilled meat (Vietnamese do not serve grilled beef this way). The dipping sauce and one for the Vermicelli bowl lacked flavor. Absolutely amazing food! My wife and I ordered the Bahn mi with grilled beef and the pho. The bahn mi was absolutely to die for with the siracha sauce on top, but caution it may pack a bit of a punch combined with the jalapeños. The pho was great and unfortunately I got the tofu even though the rare beef was ordered, but it was still quite delicious! Stop by this joint right after snowboarding. My team and I was dying from the cold and wanted something warm that's close by. Stepped into a small place with a access to upstairs seating (although we didn't go). It's really a fast food pho joint. You order as you would if you're in a fast food restaurant. It come in a small or large in size for pho. Aside from pho, there is other food items as well. For pho, It'll have you choose your one choice of one meat and $2 more for any each extra meat you chooses. I got beef and meat balls. Then, you choose your condiments such as bean sprouts, cilantro, green onions etc.. then you pay at the register and sit where there is open seating. It's our first time here so we was expecting at least tap water??? But no, make sure you buy water or a cup of water as it's not free. Pho didn't take long to come it was pretty fast, which was good cos we're all starving. So here my personal review on the food I got: Pho: beef and meatball small pho ($15). The broth taste like instant beef favor you would get from a bag. The broth was not hot enough to cook my beef to my Liking so I didn't finish it. The meat ball was good Nothing too special. If you have an Asian tongue and is used to eating real authentic pho, you would be disappointed. Boba- I got the mango. It was so watered down and taste nth like a boba that I didn't bothered to touch it after the first sip. Spring roll- I can make better one with better sauce. Egg rolls- finger small and nothing special. Yummy warm soup on a cold Breckenridge day really hit the spot! It's a quaint but tiny place. There are a couple of chairs outside. It's a little pricey - I believe bowls start at around $10. This place is just a few steps away from the Gondola so you may want to grab something to eat, ride the Gondola to the top of Peak 8, and sit outside on the patio at the base of the ski mountain to eat. read more
