I like that there are actually Asian people working at this joint and it makes it more authentic than other places. It was really cold during the ski season and everyone had the same idea to get pho so every pho places were packed. We were able to get a seat at this joint. The Pho was a bit white washed as all the other places at Breckenridge but I am also really spoiled from great pho from Houston where it has #1 Vietnamese population. This was really disappointing. For a place called Pho Real you'd think they would be serving real pho but no. Let's summarize 1. Beef pho - broth was flavorless and murky. No charred ginger, onion or star anise flavor and no beef bone flavor either. The bowl was overpacked with noodles and the broth was luke warm when served so it didn't cook the rare beef 2. Spring rolls - the sauce was so thick you had to spoon it on the rolls. The rice paper used on the roll was really thick so it was chewy. The rolls were not tightly rolled and cut in half so basically everything just fell out when u tried to eat it 3. Vermicelli bowl - the ngoc Cham served with it was weak. The grilled chicken was super dry. The egg rolls were probably rolled with the same thick rice paper used on it spring rolls so it was really glutinous and chewy. read more

Don't let the 3.5 star review fool you, it's top notch Pho. They may not overload their broth with msg and so it doesn't hit you in the face with a salty element. Ask for msg on the side, its just a condiment, and I think most people would say "wow this is amazing". We got the pho, edamame, and the vermicelli. We were in town staying about 10 mins from Breck, after walking around we wanted to get some lunch and I was obsessed with the title and it had good reviews. I ordered chicken fried rice and not the pho! And the person next to me ordered the chicken rice bowl. The gyoza was perfect, not too crispy and not to soft or sticky. Loved the bean sprouts sprinkled on top. I enjoyed the chicken fried rice, it was not too spicy, but they had sauces at the tables. Our orders came to us a few moments later and it was probably the most disappointing flavor and texture of any pho we have ever had. The broth was milky, like the noodles had been reheated in the broth time and time again. The meat was chewy, not fresh at all. There was plenty of fresh veggies and noodles, which were pleasant, but the taste and texture was so off. The broth was creamy and almost sweet. I've reheated day old pho and this is exactly what it tasted like. The spring rolls we ordered were hot and crispy, but the inside was just mushy. We couldn't identify what the filling was. This place saved me....Pho Real.....for real!! I had eaten at some other food establishment in Breckenridge and got terrible stomach troubles afterwards. I needed something clean and simple to give my body some nourishment so I decided to check out Pho Real. Even though the pho comes with many options (meat choice, bean sprout, basil, cilantro, onion, jalapeño, lime wedge), I kept things simple with just noodles and meatballs just to see how I would feel afterwards. I felt instantly better after having my first bite. The flavors of the beef broth was delicious. I was addicted. I stayed in Breckenridge for 7 nights and visited Pho Real a couple more times after my first visit. I've tried the vermicelli noodles, a few more pho bowls, and a few banh mi sandwiches. All were delicious, not greasy, and very clean. I really like how they put on gloves when they make the food. If you've never been here, the process is simple: order your food first, wait for them to make your food, then pay for your food. You can either sit and eat your food at the restaurant or take the food home to go. They have some inside and outside seating but its very limited. In my opinion, the prices are on point for being located on Main Street. The prices are also very comparable to other cities like San Francisco or Chicago where banh mi sandwiches are around $8 and pho bowls are around $10. I highly recommend this place. I'm obsessed with this place-it is so so good! And Breckenridge really needs a place like this! They used to have a Japanese noodle bowl place and we were so sad when they closed. But now we have Pho Real and it is for real! The food is delicious. Love their spring rolls. Have been there a couple of times and have tried both their Pho and Vermicilli bowls. There's so many choices of yummy ingredients you can put in them. It's fast and healthy and good! They have some wine and beer but this place is not big and doesn't have an extensive bar, but we were there to get the food and didn't care about atmosphere. There are some tables-it wasn't crowded (went in the summer) so we had seating both times we went. You can also order online ahead which is something we will probably do during the busy ski season! We ordered a takeout from this place. I ordered the vermicelli noodles with tofu. It came with some petrified, looking bits of tofu, which resembled something that astronauts would eat on the moon. There was a small bowl of noodles and a thimble full of soup to pour over it do it yourself style. There were no chopped vegetables or garnishing. I eat a lot of pho because i'm vietnamese . However , this place is pretty mediocre for vietnamese cultured food. Starting off, the service people were pretty rude besides one lady. She got my order wrong and had a mean face . i asked for a pork bun and she never gave it then when I went to go ask for another one she brought out a rock hard bun that was still frozen.
