Pho NOT so real! As a local Breckenridge resident - I have tried this place 3 times since the opening and have been really disappointed. The Staff isn't trained and every time someone new is working the "Pho-station". This has led to inconsistent product, cold broth, bland broth, and lack of ingredients - to say the least.... The owner, well... - he just stands around and is in the way. Took him three times of going to the "hidden" kitchen to make ONE spring roll, that lacked all the ingredients promised and still charged full price. Pho Real? I would not recommend this place to anyone visiting or local. If you want some good Pho, just make the drive to Frisco and check out Pho-Bay! It is worth it and its delicious. read more

This pho is very delicious. It is an efficient process getting to custom select what you want in your bowl of pho. Both broth styles have delicious flavor and the toppings are fresh- it seems very authentic. My only recommendation would be to minimize use of plastic cups and silverware. I definitely will be coming back here! read more

My husband and are are from The Twin Cities in Minnesota where there's an abundance of amazing cuisine choices. We eat out A LOT back home. We love pho and this did not disappoint. They have a beautiful outside seating area with a great view of Breckenridge. My husband and I are from the Nashville area, so we stumbled across this place before reading any reviews. Took 15 minutes to get a rice noodle bowl and it was ok. Fried rice and spring rolls took over 20 minutes. Fried rice was a definite loser...dried, crusty rice and the tablespoon of chopped burned chicken was a waste. Spring rolls were the highlight but now worth the trip. read more

I don't understand the high ratings of this place. This was the blandest pho I've ever had. The noodles had literally no flavor at all, and the broth wasn't much better. There was a decent amount of chicken, but the vegetables were pretty sparse. I had to use so much hot sauce to make it palatable. And it was $11.50 for a small bowl - definitely overpriced. Vegetarians and vegans, beware! My friend and I waited patiently in line for almost 40 minutes to get a bowl of veggie pho to go on a very busy night. When it was finally our turn to order, we were told there was no veggie broth, only beef. We couldn't believe that Pho Real staff hadn't called this out or posted a sign in the more than 40 minutes we were waiting in their store. That would have been an easy solution and saved us a lot of time and frustration. We left the shop still hungry and empty-handed. Also worth mentioning since we watched the staff make many food orders, they appear not to change gloves between handling meat, noodles, and vegetables. If you want a vegetarian order, you may want to ask them to change gloves before making your order. read more

I will be honest... I was a little hesitant to how authentic the pho was going to be and Pho Real proved me wrong! The pho was DELICIOUS!!! I had the beef broth with rare steak and meatballs and I completely finished off the bowl! The meatballs had a unique spice that added an extra kick that I loved!! Absolutely delicious! The staff is friendly and the beef broth is fabulous. I recommend the Vietnamese meatballs and the raw steak. The place is a bit small and it is hard to sit when it is crowded. But the wait is worth it. Perfect for a cold winter evening. read more

Hello all. My tummy and taste buds are pissed. Pho Real is anything but, and easily the worst meal we had in the entire corridor. I adore all Asian cuisine but also recognize there will be a difference between Vietnamese food in America and in Vietnam.(I've had both) That said, this was not Vietnamese food at all. They plainly state that the vermicelli bowl comes with Nuoc Cham, a common sauce consisting of a lime juice base with fish sauce, sugar, and sambal oelek, yet there was zero lime. That's like making a bloody Mary with no tomato! Wtf?! To make matters much worse, the VIETNAMESE style beef was marinated in CHINESE five spice......I shouldn't have to tell you how screwed up that is. The real marinade is mostly made up of shallots, garlic, lemongrass, fish sauce, cilantro, and sugar. Again, not a difficult sauce, and certainly not made up of ingredients that cant be easily found at a grocery store. To finish the blasphemy, the fried spring rolls were wrapped in the entirely wrong wrapper, they came out like a Chinese egg roll for a reason I cant explain. These issues, simple as they are to correct, lead me to believe that the people of Pho Real simply don't know or care about making a decent product. Please stop going to this place until they try to make actual Vietnamese food! If you think this was good, you dont know the cuisine, and if you think it was bad then please don't be turned away from such an amazing food culture. Pho Real, if you are reading this then I urge you to actually learn what you are poorly pretending to recreate because that meal was a damn shame. Furthermore, I'll be here for another week so if you want me to come in and show you what these dishes should look and taste like I would be happy to accommodate. Seriously! The difference between 3 and 4 stars for me is service, and that is why I rated this a 3. The food was really tasty. I had meatball/stir fry beef pho, with all the ingredients. The broth was very delicious, the meatballs were not as dense as I've had at some places, and the stir fry beef was very flavorful. The service was ok, but not great. Honestly the owner was there, and had he been acting like a GM and not just another employee it would have been a little more on point. We will definitely be back. read more

I had bun thit nuong, which they call "Vermicelli Bowl". The beef was dried up and crusty, the noodles were swimming in a bland liquid (water?) that I've never had at any Vietnamese restaurant, and there were very few vegetables other than some shredded lettuce and mung bean sprouts. Charging nearly $14 for that dreck should be a crime. The only thing Vietnamese about this place was the two young women working there. Your money is better spent elsewhere. read more

I'm so excited about this place!! I went there for their soft opening, and as much as they have a few kinks to work out, I love their food! The owner was very friendly and open to and comment and suggestions. To be honest, I've never had Pho before, but I am now a huge fan. I would not bother with this place despite the convenient location near the gondola. They are not vegetarian friendly and the one dish they say is vegetarian is awful, flavorless and not worth it, basically luke warm noodle water. There is no atmosphere and no seating to speak of. Try Pho on Main actually run by Vietnamese families and delicious with more options. read more

It's just good, solid pho (and other bowls). I've only ever had the pho and it is always excellent with lots of toppings available for no extra charge! The rare beef is very good and they give lots of noodles as well. Even the smaller size is plenty. read more
