This place is a newer pho restaurant in lexington and of course I had to try it out. Went here one day for lunch with a buddy. They pho was phokin great (lol play on words). The slow cooking and deep flavor of the pho is so spot on. You can taste the lightness of the broth and each little delicate ingredient thay is added. This is a skill set and a gift. This is the perfect place to go for a cheaper meal that warms your soul. The resturant itselt is clean and not overly decorated. I literally travel across town to come here. They have the steak that cooks in the broth, which in California where I'm from, they weren't allowed to do due to bacteria. It's 100 times better than cooked steak being thrown in. The lady at the desk is always very nice. One time I went when I had strep throat. I had mentioned I was sick and they gave me a cup of green tea Togo for free. I haven't experimented with other dishes since I've always gotten the same thing. Quite possibly one of my new favorite places in Lexington! I got to try it today for lunch. The chicken vermicelli noodle dish was fantastic! So flavorful. I am picky about ordering chicken out but it was great quality. The portion was also huge! My friends ordered the chicken pho and the beef pho and they were excellent as well. Highly recommended. So I should preface this with, I've never had Vietnamese food before. A couple coworkers introduced me to this spot. There is a lot of pho, rice noodle and vermicelli dishes. Quite frankly after being educated on what tripe is I didn't know if I wanted to try anything. It took forever for us to get service. Some other people got in after us and still got served before us. The pop is flat so personally I would recommend water. I got the spring veggie roll but they brought me the wrong roll, it was shrimp filled with some sort of chewy roast beef substance (not my cup of tea). I opted to just get the shrimp fried rice and it was perfect. Honestly should have just stayed in my comfort zone and gotten that from the beginning. Great Vietnamese Food and good portion sizes. The restaurant is in a small shopping center and pretty big. It's a lot bigger on the inside than it looks on the outside. The restaurant is pretty clean as well. We ordered an appetizer and two entrees. The Bbq pork summer rolls were delicious and very flavorful. The skin of the summer roll was very soft which meant that it was made fresh. My husband ordered the Special Combination B and he said it was really good. His entree came with a bowl of the pho broth, which we both agree was not that good. We've had our share of pho broths and the broth we got at Pho Saigon definitely had a weird taste to it. Usually rice dishes come with a side of fish sauce, but his didn't. He said it didn't bother him because the food was flavorful enough that he didn't need it. I got the Hue Spicy Style with Rice Vermicelli, which is a dish not commonly found at a lot of Vietnamese restaurant. I wish the sizes for this dish came in smaller size. It was only available in Large and x-large which was too much for me. The spicy level was just right and the flavoring was delicious. I was a little worried after trying the pho broth first, but it didn't disappoint. For the price I expect more meat in it though. Overall we would definitely go back again and try some of the other dishes (not the pho dishes) plus order the entrees/appetizer that we got this trip. read more

We decided to look for a new Vietnamese Pho restaurant for a cold evening and found this place online. We took the drive down, purely as a food road trip, and we were not disappointed. Once we got there, we ordered the Grilled Pork Spring Rolls for appetizers, the Large Deluxe Pho Noodle Soup and the Crispy Stir Fried Noodles for our entrees, and 2 Taro Smoothies with Boba (tapioca balls). The waiter (who was also the cook!) was super friendly, and we didn't even have to wait that long for the food to come out. The drinks came out first, and they were delicious! It was some of the best taro bubble tea that I've had in Kentucky, and it was fresh with soft boba. Next were the spring rolls, and they were really good as well with peanut dipping sauce. The Pho bowl was delicious with a ton of meat in every bite; it tasted like homemade Pho! The stir fry had a lot of chicken, pork, beef, shrimp, and vegetables, all placed on top of the crispy, crunchy noodles; it was flavorful with all different kinds of textures in your mouth! We are new to the area and drove by and had to try it. Pho was great. We had the beef and the seafood, both good. Spring rolls are a little lacking in flavor.
