Pho Beef*- sliced beef

Visited on a Sunday for lunch and were able to get seated right away. The place isn't too big but it's clean and comfortable. The prices are slightly high but the portions are large (especially the bahn mi) and flavors were good overall. They also offered a free beer for Father's Day!

11/10 arguably THE BEST Pho . I've tried many places in Louisville and nothing absolutely NOTHING compares. I've come back countless times and it's the exact same every single time. I think what makes this stand out from the rest is that they make a house sauce for the Pho. Of course you can still ask for chili oil but this house sauce you can't beat. I've even ordered this to go and eating it at home feels as if I'm in the restaurant. This place is a true joke in the wall family owned restaurant. They were so helpful when I first ordered this dish and explained how to eat it. This is more of a 2-4 person kind of setting but I've seen them sit one large 7 top that took up most of their space. Come with a big appetite and you won't leave hungry .

Stopped in for some lunch on Friday. Ordered the crispy spring rolls for an app, they came out quick but by the time they made it to the table they were just warm, would have preferred them to be hotter, but they were good. Ordered the Pho with Brisket, it was hot and delicious. The meat is so tender and the broth is super flavorful. If you need a meal to warm up your belly go get the pho!

Classic Egg Fried Rice

First time at VinBun! The small seating area was packed with customers, the aroma of cooking was a delicious greeting, & the menu was well balanced. The food selection was limited to appetizers, Banh Mi, Noodle Soups, Vermicelli Bowls, Rice Places, beer, classic Vietnamese beverages, & soda drinks. I enjoyed the Bun Thit Nuong "Pork" Vermicelli Bowl. Every bite was a delight, pork flavorful, fresh vegetables crisp, sweet shrimp, & Al dente noodles. My husband ordered the Classic Egg Fried Rice, portions were generous, pork plentiful, vegetables were fresh. We did not order any beverages or desserts. I would highly recommend this little bistro for anyone who enjoys a moderately priced delicious meal.

Bun Bo Hue weekend special. It's pho w/ more beef, more spice, and more lemongrass - heavenly

5 stars to perhaps my #1 pho spot in Louisville... especially when they have Bun Bo Hue (BBH) weekend special! My gf and I monitor their Facebook for the occasional announcement, and pounce when it's here. BBH takes pho and elevates it with more: beef shank, lemongrass, spicy sausage, and love It also has pork blood, which is optional, but my Filipino gf loves it... adds texture. Come get it this weekend! If you like heat, request a side of their Habanero spice sate. It's no joke, but hits the spot for spice lovers I also tried their Stir Fried Tofu Noodles for the first time, and love its hint of tamarind and generous scrambled egg. VinBun deserves some love for being an amazing API-owned establishment (Asian Pacific Islander). If you support it, you receive much love back!

Bun Bo Hue

The Bun Bo Hue was fantastic--packed with fresh meats and veggies, and the broth? Chef's kiss! You know it's good when it has its own dedicated menu spot. Definitely adding this to my regular rotation. Shout out to the wonderful staff!

We came here for lunch when visiting Louisville. We ordered 2 bowls of beef Pho, egg rolls and broken rice dish. Pho was pretty good - flavorful broth, tender beef. However I was disappointed at the grilled pork broken rice dish. Service was pleasant.

Amazing. Talented. Elite. My phone ate first... but the final bite is always mine. Hot, comforting, and healing always in all ways! The owners are phenomenal, constantly and consistently wonderful, staff is always friendly and does a fantastic job! All needs met, and with such charm!! Thanks crew... as always chefs kiss hit em five times!

A quick update to highlight this restaurant and its consistently flavorful pho. When my mind is on soup, my thought quickly lands here. While they have starters on the menu, my preference is to pick the brisket pho and add an egg, then save my stomach only for this! Small space and close tables but folks seem to rotate as best as possible to not be on top of each other for long. Would be tough for a large group. Never had poor service and often see the staff engaging with regulars.

The food tasted authentic and fresh. The server was serving the entire restaurant and it was completely full. They got our food out fast. Couldn't expect anything more

A little difficult to find on my first pass by the strip mall, but worth the effort to locate for my first visit and certain it'll be fine for future trips. 5 stars because we had Georgie as our server. He was the sweetest, kindest, most patient waitstaff that I've been fortunate to meet in a long, long time. He answered all of our questions, made certain everything was ordered just as we requested, checked in on us, and had a genuine smile and gentle nature that was disarmingly epic. I would seriously revisit this restaurant in the future if I ever need a mood boost. The food was delicious -- appetizers, entrees, and desserts. Sample app dish included spring rolls, potstickers, crab rangoons and a few other items. Fellow diners ordered entrees of shrimp pad Thai, ginger wok chicken fried rice, and I selected R2 basil chicken fried rice. We each took over 1/2 of our food home because it was A LOT. Most of us selected spice level 3 of medium (levels are 1 none to 5 Thai hot) and it was perfect for my personal palate. It tingled a tiny bit, gave me a few little sniffles, but I could still feel my lips and tongue and didn't have any stomach upset. Goldilocks -- just right. I would order my entree again and again. It was loaded with vegetables (carrots, onions, zucchini), crispy and aromatic floral Thai basil leaves, and tender melt-in-your-mouth morsels of chicken breast. Two of my fellow diners ordered desserts of sticky rice and mango sticky rice. I was too full to try even a bite, but they were raving about it with a vengeance. Looking forward to visiting here again!

The food was not bad-- the egg rolls were good and crispy. We ordered medium for both dishes and neither were very spicy. The green curry had good flavor, but wasn't anything special. The tom yum soup was more disappointing, didn't have much tom yum flavor at all, which is usually more sour and tangy and fragrant. Overall not a bad experience!

First things first the food was incredible. I went for the Valentine's Day four course special and…read moretruly every course was a delight. The burrata was so well balanced with the accompanying tomato, the tuna was so juicy and well seared, and the lemon sorbet had me dreaming of lemons for hours after. The food is genuinely worth the price point! If you care though, the restaurant is VERY plain. There is very little personality in the decor, and aside from some unconventional chairs and a tile floor by the bar, nothing really sticks out as pleasing to the eye. I chose this restaurant for Valentine's Day to have a romantic, intimate atmosphere, and the vibe was giving summer camp lunch. The floor plan is very open and super grey, with plain wood tables. Even the servers were in very casual clothing. Any other night this would have been fine, but for Valentine's Day, I wish I had picked something more romantic. Overall I really enjoyed the food here and will for sure be back, just not for any special occasions.

It's a good place to get food with a bit of a Southern edge, plus a good wine list (hence the name) and cocktails. And our meal was good. Everyone found something for them on the menu, even the kids. I got the House Pappardelle Pasta, made with wild boar ragout, confit red pearl onions, roasted garlic whipped ricotta and shaved parmesan. I got a glass of wine too. I'm also a fan of their Louisville-themed wine flights, though it would be fun to see these updated. Our server was pleasant, and we were able to easily book a reservation on their site. LouVino is a good option for a dinner party.

Sun was…read moreshining and light breeze, but we had to retreat indoors for dining when a sudden pop up storm arrived. Extensive bar menu and I tried a peach daiquiri with no alcohol version. Other diners chose the Pina colada and also a Friday cocktail special of Holy Water, which included blue curaçao. Feedback was mixed. We started with 1/2 pound of hot and spicy peel and eat shrimp and a dozen oysters. Great preparation and taste. It was apparently all so good and we had such a great time that we forgot to take photos of the food. We shared steamer bowls and a captain's platter. This allowed for a variety of crab legs, steamed oysters, sausages, corn, red potatoes, garlic Parmesan bread, shrimp, grouper, onion rings, clam strips, along with butter, tartar sauce, and cocktail sauce. We had arrived famished and we all left satiated and carrying out To Go boxes. Our server was fantastic, helping us relocate inside when the storm popped up, and very attentive through our entire visit. Looking forward to future visits and more great seafood.
