Broth was good, but service was really terrible. I normally wouldn't downgrade these quick service places for it, but they didn't come back to get our order for 10 min, helping the table who came after us first. The menu says the kids meal comes with a soft drink(in Vietnamese, though not in English) but cashier said they wouldn't honor that because it was a mistake. The rice dish with grilled beef was neither a Vietnamese style, Nor teriyaki as some places tend to do. Kind of chewy thick slices of beef sautéed (not grilled) with a rather bland sauce. spring rolls had a lot of noodle filler, but peanut sauce was good. Prices and portions were ok overall. read more

My wife and I stopped by Sunday night at 9pm after a movie at Regal Longston. Theater. The service at Pho Thai was great and the Pho was sooooo tasty. It's a nice place with the standard open sitting type look, no booths or privacy. I would definitely recommend this place. read more

I love pho tai! The food is amazing. The portions are generous. very quick service. Even when it's a packed house we never have to wait too long before eating. Also the staff is so nice and helpful. I just don't recommend the bubble tea. It is sickeningly sweet. But other than that I'd give five stars! read more

This is my favorite Pho place in the Puyallup area. I have had the Pho, the cold noodle bowls and the Bhan mi. I have never had a bad meal at this place. I usually get the Pho on cold and rainy days (so this means I mostly eat pho). In the summer, I tend to get the cold noodle bowl. I eat here quite often. I usually get myself a milk coffee for desert. The service is usually good. I have noticed that sometimes it does get slow when the place is packed full of people...understandable as they normally have just the two servers handling the entire room. Hair in my Pho, rude waitress, and something was just off with the pho. A weird smell to it. The meat was super fatty and chewy too. Overall it was a pretty nasty experience. Definitely won't return. read more

Yeah so I come in on a whim, I see these pho places everywhere in Washington, as I am originally from Arizona. Anyways I get my normal, pho with shrimp , to find out they charge $18, okay not a big deaI then I respectfully tip even though I order Togo. Regarding the price I'm thinking wow good stuff, right? You see the bowl of broth they give you and expect wow they are definitely hooking me up?! Yeah, no way... not bad at all if you'd like to burn a whole in your wallet for the smallest portion of a pho meal. They give you literally the smallest amount of noodle to compliment your what 5-6 tiny shrimps? I think I ate more bean sprouts than rice noodle. I'm quiet confused and feel a bit scammed. I'll be coming back when I'm absolutely rich and feel like wasting money. These guys are making a killing off your tiny $20 portions! Rice noodle is literally the cheapest thing you can give out, at least fulfill someone's hunger with noodles, instead of leaving a good paying customer starving. read more

So our group of 9 came. 5 kids, 4 adults and we were in a rush to eat and then get to the movie within an hour. My in-laws come here a lot and know that they are fast to get the food out. So we ordered and we all got our food within 10-15 minutes, all 9 of us!I had the chicken pho, ordered the potsticker combo for my 5 year old. I ordered Thai Tea but never got it. But they were busy, so I wasn't too upset about it. The food was delicious and hot. My in-laws know the owners well and so they brought out complimentary potstickers for all of us.All of our girls enjoyed them. We were in and out of their quickly and just in time for our movie down the street. I'll definitely be back with my family that live here, when we are in town again. read more

I've been to Pho Tai about 10 times since it's opening. The staff has always been friendly and the service is decent. The menu contains much more than just pho, including Vietnamese salads and even sandwiches. I haven't tried anything but the pho noodle soup (steak and brisket) and the spring rolls, but my dad tried one of the salads and said it was excellent. I just tried the chicken pho (#18) today and wasn't impressed. The chicken was rubbery and I actually bit into a few bones. The prices are a little high compared to other pho restaurants that I've eaten at in Tacoma, but relative to the area, it seems, and still definitely worth it. Overall I would recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area looking for good Vietnamese food and not wanting to travel too far. read more

Good pho. Great soups, noodles and salad. Good authentic flavor. Prompt service and food delivery. I especially like their bbq sandwich. Its not bbq flavor or sauce like american style,..more of like a teryaki flavor meat. Anyway,..served on crisp outside, soft inside french bread with thin sliced julianed carrotts and cucumber, and about 4 slices of fresh jalepeno. Good stuff. Occasional language barriers with the first generation help here,..but the second and third gen wait staff speak and understand english well. Overall very good pho. This is our local neighborhood Pho restaurant so we eat here often. Food is always good no matter what we try. The last few times we have been in the broth has been noticeably tastier. It was always good before, now it is even better. Staff is friendly (for a Pho restaurant anyway) and accommodating of special requests. Decor is pleasant and the dining area is always clean. Definitely worth a stop when you are in the area and looking for Pho. read more

Definitely not the best Pho I have had. The prices are insane. The staff is friendly. The parking sucks, the flavor profile in the soup isn't exactly there. I like to order the raw beef and tendon, I always order extra meat and a small soup. I am not really a fan of the noodles...and my meal always seems to come out to $15-17. There's a Pho Tai in Lakewood and I never have paid that much. I would figure with it being a chain there wouldn't be a price difference but I guess I was mistaken. read more

This is my favorite restaurant in Puyallup! Every time I go get myself dinner, I am greeted by Kyle and he always remembers my exact order. He's even recommended several menu items and his recommendations are so good! I always get their fresh rolls with tofu and I'm never disappointed. Along with that I tried the tofu sandwich and tofu salad, both were quite delicious! Not only are my meals tasty, the presentation is gorgeous as well. Can you rate less than 1 star? I probably would for this location. This place used to be quite good. Seems like they changed their recipe. The broth is pretty bland and boring and they are priced higher then the other Pho Tai locations. Needless to say, I won't recommend or ever go back. This place was at one point good! I'm not sure what happened but in the last months, it has taken a turn for the worse. We ordered the BBQ pork sandwich and my husband found a piece of metal (kind of looked like a staple) in his while chewing. Thankfully he wasn't hurt but, seriously?! We brought it to their attention and all they did was take it off the bill after we asked them to. We decided it was a fluke and have since given it a few more tries but tonight was the last one. I had a huge craving for the BBQ pork sandwich so we got 4 to go and when we got them home and I unwrapped one I immediately noticed the smell was wrong. It was almost a burned/propane smell but the sandwich looked normal so I took a bite... The worse decision. Ever. It tasted like straight up gasoline. We took them back and got our $20 (they didn't make it easy, that's for sure) and a weak apology. There aren't many good asian restaurants in the area, and this place had the potential. Not the best Pho in the world, but in South Hill, Puyallup, where there are 4 or 5 Pho options, this one really is the best. No offense to the other Pho places around here, but anyone who thinks they are better than THIS place, has no clue what they're talking about. But seriously, how can you take a review seriously that says "The broth is bland"... Hello, you make it how you want it. So if it was bland, break out the hoison, sriracha, lime, etc. And "I work at a a Pho place...I never tried Fish Sauce" Seriously? That's an embarrassment to the place you work at. Well I was excited to try this place. Had to get a to-go order. I got grilled chicken teriyaki type dish for my kids and pho noodle soup with steak for me. When I got home I opened my steak pho stuff to discover that it was raw. I was a bit shocked but I just went with it. Supposedly that is how it was supposed to be and it cooks when you put it in the soup. I don't think so-I cooked it up in a pan and then put it in my broth and added the other good stuff. Well, it was pretty bland- nothing special to write home about. There is a place near the Tacoma mall called Mekong which is the standard I hold all vietnamese food by. Pho Thai didn't come close. Bland broth, bland meat, bland seasoning. Maybe it is better at the restaurant, I'm not going back. Chicken teriyaki stuff was ok but again, nothing to write home about. read more

Some words of advice DONT ORDER TO GO When pho was brought home to me while I had the flu, I was expecting at the most to just have to microwave the soup to make it hotter. But that wasn't the case. I opened the bag and there was a soup container containing just the broth, and then a box filled with all the ingredients... RAW （and slightly frozen). Steak was just thrown in there raw. Doesn't that seem unsanitary and/or sketchy? My family had to take their time to cook the steak so it was edible. And even once it was cooked I still didn't feel comfortable eating it. This was some of the worst food I've had in a long time. I tried chicken pho here for the first time and was fortunately brave enough to try it again because this place could have ruined it forever.
