    Water Feature inside

Today I was craving some Asian food, so I went to "Phở Tran88". First when you walk in a nice water feature greets you followed by the hostess to seat you, they're very welcoming. The restaurant has a good size seating area with the option of seating outdoors if the weather permits is nice. The variety of options from your regular Chinese dishes to Vietnamese dishes, the options are endless. But today I wanted something simple, I got the Sweet and Sour chicken with rice and the option of two egg rolls. The food was cooked just right with the appropriate tenderness and crunch. It's a great place if you're in the area and you're craving Asian cuisine.

I ordered takeout and it was really good. The chicken and the sauce were very tasty! It was also ready fast! The location was easy to get to as well.

I freakin forgot to take a pic of my food ! Hate when this happens. Lol but this was my second time eating here and the pho is so yummy . I ordered the P2. And the fried pot stickers. Definitely recommend. The only bad thing that happened both time is that the tea wasn't good had a funny taste to it. But soda comes in a bottle so you can't beat that ! The service is very fast and the music is always good too!

This place is amazing! Full disclosure, I know the owners. Let me tell you a story...These folks used to own Pho NB here in New Braunfels, TX. We loved that place. They moved to San Marcos, TX and opened a Vietnamese restaurant called Pho Tran88. We have been going there since it opened and love that food. I have a review for that location. About 6 weeks ago, they returned to New Braunfels and opened a Pho Tran88. On this menu, in addition to their outstanding Vietnamese food they have a Chinese food menu (because that sells well here). So on a Saturday after at lunch, my wife and I ventured down to New Braunfels to check out the new location and get some Chinese food. You can't go wrong with either Vietnamese or Chinese food here. The location is bright and clean. The service is always great. The food was perfect. I had the cashew chicken with egg drop soup and my wife had the chicken with vegetables with wonton soup. Portions are solid. This is worth a trip! Enjoy!

Well as you walk in your greeted and you can notice they have adequate seating inside and it appears a few spots outside. If you pre ordered you can walk up and pick up your order. The menu is right above the counter and around the counter. The staff was excellent, even though it was a little busy but they kept their cool and prepared outstanding subs to the people in line. Now the reason for going out to eat, how is the food. I ordered the Big Paul sub, it was a delicious meal. The sub is made up of various meats which gives a fulfilling feeling and an abundance of flavors. The ingredients had such a fresh flavor and great taste that make these subs a step up to others. This place has great service and has even better subs, this place has a nice vibe and easy to get to. I honestly approve this place for your sub craving.

The business is easy to find and in the corner. When arriving inside we were greeted by the employees and went over the menu. I ordered the California Club and my girlfriend ordered the NY Italian. The combo came with a drink and a bag of chips. The place also offered military discount, so that was a plus. Once ordered we sat down and dug right in. It's a small business, so there isn't too much seating inside, but the do have outside seating on the side. The sandwiches were decent and had good flavor, but in my honest opinion, nothing too special. Was a little disappointed in the taste and believe the subs lacked flavor. But then again maybe I need to try the other sandwiches. But until then my review is 3 stars.

There's a sandwich of the day which starts off at seven dollars for a regular size sandwich. Today, Tuesday, December 2 the sandwich of the day was the Gyro witch. I'm glad it was because I definitely wanted to try this kind of sandwich and it actually did not disappoint. The meat they use is Gyro style meat made of beef and lamb, not the best I've had but good enough to satisfy my hunger. The toppings really made the sandwich, the sandwich comes with tzatziki sauce and cucumber, but I added a spinach, red onion, hummus, and banana peppers to mine. I had mine with the wheat bread, which was also pretty good. As far as affordability, definitely a good spot to check out. I wouldn't necessarily consider the taste of the sandwich superior though. The girl at the checkout was really friendly. I was a little concerned about the cleanliness behind the counter and the weird smell when I walked in, but other than that, the space was not terrible.

A Cuban only has meat and pickles. You can't skimp on meat if that's the main ingredient! There was literally bread showing thru the "layer" of grey pulled pork meat. I paid $15.50 I paid $3 more for extra bacon on the BLT. What I got was extra large pieces of undercooked fat. There was one piece so large, I thought it was a potato chunk!! I wish it had been a potato instead of a large, floppy piece of pork fat. I paid $17 for extra large flabby pork fat. Can you tell how much I adore pork fat by how many times I am emphasizing PORK FAT??? For the record, I would like to present to you: Photo Exhibits A thru WTF!!? The plan was for the "kids" to go to the movies while she and I stayed at the house and babysat our adorable little 5 month old grandson. None of us wanted to be bothered with going out for dinner, and my wife doesn't like to do that on "special" days anyway because of the crowds. She decided I would go over to Jimmy John's and pick up. I went on the website and tried to have our order delivered since delivery was free that day with a special code. Even though my son's house is within two miles of the store, they don't deliver there. I called instead, but after being on the phone for about 15 minutes placing a huge order, the staff at the store couldn't set it up for delivery either. No biggie. I was just being lazy anyway. I told them I would pick up our order at 2:45. Like the old fart that I am, I arrived about ten minutes early. I told them what I was there to pick up, and one of the workers told me they were working on my order, and I should grab my cookies, chips, and drinks while I waited. She gave me a huge shopping bag and a drink holder to put them in. While I was finishing up with the drinks, the same young lady called me over and handed me another huge bag with our sandwiches at exactly 2:45! When I got back to the house, we all figured out whose sandwich was whose and sat down to eat. I was amazed that all 5 of the sandwiches were exactly what we ordered. I mean my clan has some picky folks. All but 1 of the subs was full of "hold the ????" and "add some ???". As we ate, we all talked about how good the sandwiches were. My son and daughter in law said that Jimmy Johns was their go to sandwich shop. I totally understand. I had the spicy east coast Italian. It was so loaded with meats that I could have taken half off and made another sandwich. Plus, they put some kind of mayonnaise or aioli on it that was dazzling! All of us had the barbecue flavor chips but my wife. who opted for regular. As far as I am concerned, that was her loss. These were the best kettle chips I have ever had. And, believe me, this fat man has eaten a lot of kettle chips! The oatmeal raisin cookies were also really good. I did not expect that. In my opinion most prefab individually wrapped baked goods are usually only so-so. Now, I have to figure out where my local Jimmy John's is here in San Antonio and hope it is just as good. I don't want sandwiches all the time, but when the time comes, I want a good one like the one I ate in New Braunfels.
