We were here during Thanksgiving week. This place was little busy but nothing crazy. They have their own parking lot. We picked our seats, and someone came back with the menu. We've tried, crab lagoon, fried shrimp, rare steak pho, honeydew boba, and chicken curry. Crab lagoon and fried shrimp was nothing special but it was still good. 4/5 can't go wrong with those appetizers. Pho- I've got the number 1 on pho and the broth was good. I thought it needed some more flavor in it but overall it was not bad. 3.5/5. I've got large and it was big enough to take the other half home. It also had plenty of meat on it that was pretty tender. Boba- 1/5- the boba was cooked for way too long and it wasn't very good. Chicken curry- 2/5 this tasted more like butter chicken. Our server was kind enough to bring us extra bowls and checked on us frequently to make sure that all was well. Amazing service and great food. The Vietnamese coffee hits the spot with the bold strong coffee and the sweet condensed milk combo. The sandwiches are hands down my favorite. Super fresh bread stuffed with cool pickled carrots and radishes on a bed of perfectly seasoned beef with a touch of cucumbers, jalapeño peppers and Mayo. It's a perfect mixer of pickled, savory and sweet. My second favorite (only because I have to be in a mood for it) is the soup. It's jam packed full of flavor in the broth, the noodles are so perfectly cooked and slide right down its easy to finished them first! The meat, meatballs and tendon (my personal favorite) are always good quality and consistent. I highly recommend if you're a fan of Vietnamese soup. I've also tried the shrimp rolls which are crunch and wells seasoned. The cold noodles are also a good choice as well as the lavender milk tea! High quality Pho shop in Huntington, WV! We shared the crab rangoons, beef pho, and pork belly bahn mi. The crab rangoons were nicely fried, had good amount of filling, and very easy to share. The beef pho was flavorful and came in a huge portion. The bahn mi was also yummy, though I would recommend just getting the pho next time since that really is the star here. Service was quick and friendly. Minimal decorations but the restaurant was clean and plenty of seating, especially for larger parties. 5/5! read more

So so happy to see this restaurant still here and thriving in Huntington! No exaggeration, they have the best pho I've had and the best chili oil. Perfect blend of sweet, savory, a little sour, and a little spicy - wonderful to dip pho meat in. The banh mi is so so delicious too. Perfectly crisp and the meat was the perfect texture and sweetness. The barbeque eel was a little salty, but so soft. It was only a daily special and not inherently Vietnamese, so no criticism there; with just a little more practice/a little less salt, it would be a perfect menu item. The portion was huge. The service here is super friendly and professional. Everyone we encountered was nice, but we really liked our server, a younger guy. I hope the owners and employees are proud and realize how big of a deal it is for a small Asian business to be here and be frequented by non-Asian patrons. They gave us recommendation and one of the cook/owner even approached us to let us know what is the specialty of the day. We had the crab rangoons, P10 - Pho Noodles Soup and R2 Wok Bang Beef. We shared spring rolls minus the shrimp. They were pretty good, but not my favorite. My favorite was the wonton and noodle soup oh my! The broth is chicken based seasoned to perfection with tons of onions, cilantro, and bok Choi. It includes chewy noodles and the loads of amazing wontons. They were savory with a delicate wonton skin, and so many. This soup is a huge portion that I wasn't able to finish, but it is a new favorite for sure. To be honest, I wasn't expecting to find authentic Vietnamese cuisine especially when I was greeted by the host and entire wait staff who clearly was not Asian. But I was willing to give it a try and wow wow. This restaurant exceeded my expectations. We ordered the fried egg rolls which were so tasty I wished I ordered 2 orders. The Pho P10 was so good. The portions were just right for the price too. I found the broth very beefy and rich and well seasoned. We were also surprised to find Banh Mi and Vietnamese pork rice dish. I'm embarrassed to say it is 2024 and I'm just finding this hidden gem in my hometown of Huntington. The quality of ingredients is leaps and bounds above any other Asian cuisine in town. The taste of all the dishes we had was next level. The staff are so genuinely friendly and proud of the job they are doing. The portions are BIG...be aware. But you have at least 2 meals out of each dish. The outside of the building does not catch your eye but the inside is so clean, with nothing to hide. The prices are a little higher but you will NOT find anything on the same caliber as this in Huntington. Def took its place as a regular spot for take out or dine in with my family. The side of vegetables has consistently been old--the bean sprouts are wilted and slimy. So we went again, and we asked our waiter if we could get a recommendation on what we should try, and he recommended the yaki soba. That was very good, very much what we expected. Oh, and the thing I recommend if you are going for the first time is pho noodle soup or bahn mi. Both very reliable options. Second, Pho U & Mi has great staff. There really isn't much to talk about the staff, but what I can say is they are very accepting and friendly. If you ever go, dont be shy, they are very nice. Usually restaurant staff for an authentic restaurant like this laugh about what you have to say, but they are very kind and will tell you what they know about the food.
