Really gone down hill. I always order pho but I decided to try a different dish, big mistake. It was a seafood dish with noodles and veggies. I got 2 shrimp, 2 tiny tough slices of squid, 3 nickel sized scallops and 3 fake crab sticks that were so over cooked they were mush. Veggies were undercooked and very hard to eat, cut in super big chunks. Owner seems to be a bit to comfortable in the success of this business, he used to check on people to make sure they liked their food, not anymore, he was sitting talking to his buddies the whole time. If I'm on that side of town I might get pho but otherwise I won't go out of my way again. read more

Awesome food! We just returned from Hanoi, Vietnam and were craving some good authentic food. The spring rolls with the peanut sauce are awesome and the portion is generous. I had my favorite Pho with meatballs and hubby had a sandwich that he devoured. My favorite part was the sweet iced coffee. I don't know how to write the name properly, but they will know what you are talking about. The food came out quickly and we had enough to take home. Finding a good pho place in Milwaukee has proven to be very difficult for me. Having moved from the twin cities where good pho was about choosing which one I wanted that week, where as I think this is the only one I have enjoyed in Milwaukee and it's not even the best. The pho broth itself is clear and delicious, we've had a few of the other dishes but nothing sensational enough to mention and the prices are a little steep compared to what I'm used too in the twin cities but if I really need a pho fix for my hangover and can't muster the strength to make it myself, this is where I would go. read more

Recommended. We have been visiting Pho restaurants in at least 4 states (Illinois, Wisconsin, Oregon, and Arizona) and Pho Viet is among one of the best we have had. The price is not particularly cheap but reasonable. The soup tastes good, neither too salty nor too sweet, and it comes with delicious meat balls and nicely cooked beef. Well done! read more

While I love the food here, they have horrible service. My bf does not like onions at all and they've messed up on his order 80% of the time. When you tell them that they messed up, they don't even give you a new dish, they just try to pick the onions out of the old dish and they don't even do that right because he still finds onions after they "fixed" their mistake. read more

I was a little hesitant to stop in based on the reviews, but I'm glad I did! I will not claim to be an expert but I do eat any type of cuisine and my first experience with Pho was quite good. My girlfriend had the Pho Tai and I had the Bun Bo Hue. It had plenty of flavor and mine for sure was bringing some heat. Everything was cooked well and both came out piping hot! Garnish was fresh, I thought they did an excellent job. The place itself is rather plain inside, it does have 2 TVs on (but they were hardly audible when we were there) and it looked very clean top to bottom. We used to come to this restaurant all the time. The pho is one of the better ones in Milwaukee, but now, I feel like they nickel and dime you to try and make an extra buck. Prices have been going up steadily. An $8 bowl of pho is now $12.50, they give you fewer meatballs which are now quartered vs halved ... They say it's because the price of the noodles and meat keep going up...well, I guess it's just going up for Pho Viet because other Pho places in the area don't seem to be having the problem of raising their prices annually. Another thing that is really annoying is that they automatically add a service charge for parties of FOUR or more with an order of $50. In the end, I come up ahead. I always tip 20% but, when they do that annoying practice of MAKING me tip for a small party of 4, then I let them keep their 15%. Thank goodness a new pho place opened up (closer to my house with great customer service). For MUCH better service and great Pho, go to Pho King in West Allis. read more

Let me start by saying that I love pho. I've been to many places in the Milwaukee area. This was the absolute WORST service I've experienced dining in Milwaukee. We had to walk up to the counter to ask to be seated, after standing and waiting, only to see that everyone else was at least greeted and seated. The waitstaff had the worst attitudes, like it was inconvenient for them to have to be there. So much so that after sitting for 10 minutes, I had to go back to the counter to ask for menus. We waited another 10 minutes just for a glass of water. We had to ask for eating utensils, since for some unsanitary reason, they keep a bucket of them at the table. And even then, that was empty. If I didn't have morals, I wouldn't have paid for the food. It's not like they would have known, since the servers were visibly avoiding our table. I won't write about the food quality, because the service was that terrible. If I could, I would give zero stars. I will never return and will never recommend this place. read more

This location has good fresh vegetarian spring rolls, good Vietnamese egg rolls and good bun. The beef was grilled beautifully and was very tender, the veggies were plentiful and fresh. I also got a Mango smoothie which was good as well. The one thing they could improve on is their fish sauce which is kind of bland and tasteless. Otherwise, the sauces with the spring rolls was great. Good portions for the price. Recommended, especially if you want something fresh, tasty and healthy. read more

Usually we don't complain about restaurants but this time we had the worst experience ever... upon arriving we were waiting at the door for ten minutes without anyone acknowledging us. I had to go to the counter to ask someone to clean one of the two tables that were dirty so we can sit down. We waited for another five minutes before my husband had to get up and get our own menus, then we had to wave down the waitress to take our order. While all of this is going on we watched as people were coming in waiting for tables but the available tables that were dirty weren't even being cleaned so that patrons can sit. Patrons sat at dirty tables waiting for the servers to clean the tables off. Once our food (pho) arrived at the table there seemed to be soap bubbles in our broth. I asked for another bowl but who seems to be the owner came out and told me it was normal. I know what pho looks like and how it is made. I've never had bubbles in my pho... i politely told them we will pass on the pho and left. I will not eat here ever again! read more

We visited this new restaurant because we saw it visiting the new Pacific Supermarket. It was 1 PM on a weekday. It was half full. Place is clean looking and brightly lit. It had a simple menu with 2 pages of items. After scanning we ordered Vietnamese spring rolls and a bowl of Bun Bo Hue, a spicy soup with round rice noodles. The spring rolls were standard Chinese restaurant stuff with mainly vegetables. They were OK but not Vietnamese and expensive, at $6.50. The Bun Bo Hue was downright disappointing. It was lukewarm. The round noodles were thinner than most other places and it Hue, Vietnam. Accompanying the noodles were couple of pieces of Vietnamese sausages (that we specifically requested not to add) and a few pieces of sliced well done beef with tendon. No pig's blood or pig's trotter which is standard fare with this soup. The soup was too sweet (like sugary sweet), not spicy and without the flavor of lemon grass. It also had too much MSG. I asked that my bowl be reheated which was done in a microwave that did not make much difference. We were served by a Filipino woman who did not know the menu items to be able to answer simple questions, like if they had pig's blood in the dish. She said yes but there was none. We were supposed to have ordered a large bowl but were charged the usual bowl, which incidentally was $8, the most expensive BBH I have ever had. Considering the number of Vietnamese restaurants around the South side and the increasing sophistication of the Milwaukee diners I suspect it will close unless major changes are made to service and food. read more

A co-worker from NC who is Vietnamese turned me on to this place. He eats Pho 2-3 times a day and he had me eating pho everyday for lunch. A month ago, this rating would have been very different - but I placed a large order for guests at my home - $130 worth of spring rolls, fried rice, and asian chicken salad. I had been going here regularly - normally take out - and always got the same thing as most people do: P3, A2, and A15. Every single time, the spring rolls had 3 shrimp in them. When i ordered for this dinner - ALL of them had TWO. all of my guests who also have eaten here asked me why - i did not have an answer. There was no offer to fix it or reduce the price I paid when i called the next day. To top it all off, I got a call from my bank a little over a week later saying my credit card info had been "obtained" - and this purchase was the only time I had used the card in the past 6 months. OMG...their pho is so yummy delicious! Whenever I crave good Vietnamese pho, this is one of my go to place in Milwaukee. It is right next to Pacific Produce on South 27th Street, so it won't be hard to miss. I went with my mom on 6/26/15 around dinner time. We got seated right away in the booth and got our orders in soon afterward. The waitress seems friendly and do check up on you occasionally. We both ordered a P1 which is the beef pho with everything, and wanted to add seafood to both our orders, which they are willing to do so. We also ordered eggrolls and a pineapple bubba tea. The vietnamese eggrolls was really good and we got our pho bowls with everything. The small bowl was actually pretty big and we could hardly finish it. The only thing was that they don't have that many ingredients to add to the pho, but that is how vietnamese style are. Also, we didn't get our pineapple bubba tea. I have to ask another waiter (male) about the bubba tea which they made and brought out towards the end of our meal. The last thing is that when we go our check, they didn't come back to our table to grab our payment. We had to get up and go pay for it at the counter. I didn't mind, but it is a little inconvenient and especially if you have never been to this restaurant before. Overall, this restaurant is good for its pho. read more
