    Spring roll
    Andrea F.

We stopped into the Public Market for some food and ordered from Thai City. The rice dish was perfectly spicy and very tasty and the spring roll was also really well done with a nice pineapple dipping sauce. Service was friendly and quick!

service was good and food was done quickly. Ambiance was cute - located inside the Mequon Public Market Pad see ew was okay, good portion though. Also got the N7 Yum Neau. It was good however, there was A LOT of onion.. a little too much? I also saw that for spice, they use powder chili flakes/powder. I wish they would've used real raw pepper.

Thai City Cuisine opened at the Mequon Public Market this summer and is run by the same people from the old Thai Bangkok on Brown Deer Rd and 91st. I've enjoyed the food from Thai Bangkok in the past and Thai City Cuisinen is the closest Thai restaurant to where I live, so I made sure to give them a shot. My order consisted of beef Pad See Ew and a pair of chicken spring rolls. As with how they were at Thai Bangkok, the spring rolls are good. I've had better Thai spring rolls/egg rolls elsewhere, but I would still get them again. I appreciate that they use both carrot and bean sprouts in the Pad See Ew. From my experience if you see carrot or bean sprouts in Pad See Ew it's usually one and not both. I like the extra crunch texture using both provides. Though there was sauce at the bottom of the container, I felt like the noodles didn't absorb a ton of it, so I constantly had to mix the dish around to keep both the noodles and beef from drying out. I also appreciate that you do get a fair amount of food in the container.

Tried Thai city cuisine for the first time. As a Thai food lover I was excited to have a place closer than appithai which is a favorite. The order was simple and service was fine (probably 15min wait) We bought the same items that we do at Appithai to do a direct comparison, Gang Garee (yellow curry) and Kow Pad Gra Pow (Thai basil rice). Thai City didn't even come close. The food just had little to no flavor. They also got the Thai basil order wrong (wrong meat than what was ordered & no egg). We will try this place again to give it another shot but the first attempt was a complete miss.

    Mango lemonade and Pad Thai.

Pad Thai is amazing. Mango lemonade is well balanced. My new Mequon Market "go to". Multiple levels of spice for any palate.

Although there was a considerable wait for our meal, it was certainly worthwhile. Our appetizers also took some time to arrive, but they were fresh and hot, making the wait worthwhile. The samosas were delightful, and the crab rangoon was my personal favorite, perfectly filled and fried, with a well-balanced accompanying sauce. The beverages offered a unique taste, distinct from typical orange juice or mango juice, and were acceptable. I am uncertain about the Thai iced tea; my sister found it to be watered down and bland. Perhaps it was a different type of brewed tea than one might typically expect for Thai iced tea. Our appetizers and food were served by a robot, which was quite an interesting experience. We also had an actual server who took our orders and brought our drinks, but the robot was indeed a cool addition. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals. I highly recommend trying their sushi when you visit. I particularly enjoyed the dragon BBQ eel rolls, which were so delicious that I promptly ordered another, the crispy tiger roll, which was equally delightful.

Recently, my family and I were craving a little sushi & wine night in, so we ordered a handful of things from here for pick-up. It was easy to do so online and it was ready within the hour. I'm a huge spring roll gal, so we had to get some of those. These things are massive and packed with the likes of kalbi marinated beef, kani kama, rice noodles, cucumber, and cilantro. On the side is their sambal peanut sauce which I could literally drink, I love that stuff. As for the sushi order, we got an array of rolls to share. From the yellowtail maki and spicy tuna, to the california and the signature, we enjoyed them all. I regret not getting the crab wontons this time around, because YUM, but there's always next time!

Love popping into the vibrant public market building it has great energy! Checkout and pickup was easy, however we did still get charged a $6 DoorDash fee ordering pickup which seems unnecessary... not sure if that was a mistake or what but would be nice if they were more transparent with those hidden fees. Our order was all correct, we ordered 6 rolls and spring rolls for 4 people and it was just about right! Eye of the Tiger, Buddha Roll and the Screaming Tuna Signature roll are some favs.
