Overall verdict -egg rolls (great crisp but soaked in grease) -Pho lacked authentic flavor and noodles were too thin -Banh Canh Cua same issue with overall muted flavors. We left a lot there sadly. Typically these types of places that do multiple cuisines, Chinese Thai, etc. end up doing nothing well and everything just ok. this place fits that description. Killer Broth, Ghostly Service I rolled in around 2 PM on a Sunday, ready for a serious pho fix. We kicked things off with the spring rolls--and let me tell you, these things were units. They were massive, though a bit heavy on the lettuce/cabbage "filler" and a little shy on the protein. The brisket pho, however, was the real MVP. The broth was flavorful, and they didn't skimp on the side fixings. Truly a great bowl of noodles! The Catch: The service was basically non-existent. My water glass stayed bone-dry the entire meal, and I had to practically flag a search party to get the bill. The curry shrimp with chicken was full of flavor, the shrimp egg rolls were excellent, and my wife couldn't stop talking about how much she enjoyed the stone pho. I love that Woodbury has acquired a new pho restaurant, and I just wish the food quality was a little better. We came here for lunch on a Saturday around noon and were seated right away. The waitstaff were friendly and prompt, although it looked like they were getting a little overwhelmed as more and more people showed up, and the service got slower. The restaurant is clean and has a casual vibe. The prices are decent for the amount of food you're getting. We ordered veggie spring rolls for an appetizer, because they were out of veggie egg rolls. The spring rolls themselves were just so so, but they came with a delicious homemade peanut sauce that saved the day. I got a Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk, which was pretty good, and my husband got a boba milk tea, which was very disappointing. The boba pearls were nearly rock hard. They were either not steeped long enough or very stale. For food, we got the sesame chicken, which was well-seasoned but a bit dry, and the rare beef pho, which had a great broth, but the beef was very tough. This place has only been open for a few months, so I'm hoping they're still ironing out the kinks with the food quality. I'll be back in a few months to check them out again! Also, I just have to make a note about this: the entire time we were there, the TVs were playing a loop of aerial drone footage of random suburbs. I arrived quite hungry- which didn't help the fact that my bahnmi sandwhich never arrived. The steamed dumplings were good. The cream cheese wontons were good. My friend ordered pad Thai and said it was good. The boba in my milk tea was rock hard- not squishy tapioca. This was my friends second attempt here and the same service issues happened. Oh. My. God. This pho was so good! Service was outstanding and I am so glad I tried this place. Although I'm a woodbury native, I usually venture into the cities more for my Vietnamese food however you can just tell the place is super authentic and YUM. I got extra limes and added tofu to my pho. I had to take some home not because I was full but because I wanted to enjoy some later. The beginning of the experience was walking into the restaurant to not have anyone in the place make eye contact for over two minutes or to tell us welcome or to say anything to us. They were heads down and not customer friendly. I ordered the Stone Pho, which is the most expensive thing on the menu at $25. When I asked to substitute something, I was told that I'd have to pay five dollars extra which I did not want to do. When the server was coming out with our appetizer, he dropped it all over the floor so it did arrive eventually after dinner was served. He brought half of my wife's meal and then he got busy doing a bunch of other things instead of bringing the soup that goes with my wife's dry noodles. He completely forgot until I had to go remind him five minutes later. To cap off our lovely evening, our water glasses were empty for most of our meal. That was just the service. The broth in my $25 pho was quite mid. I added quite a few ingredients to try to improve the flavor, but to no avail, the broth was still lackluster and bland dishwater flavor. The ribs in the soup were tough and didn't have any salt at all. Their fried veggie eggrolls that arrived late and were greasy. The fried shrimp was 100% the tempura shrimp from Costco or some other un authentic food supplier. It was probably Costco though because it is just across the highway from them. Really, a complete disaster and I won't plan on going back there for any more of that FAKE Vietnamese food. read more

Combination Special Pho - good vietnamese style pho. Slightly sweet, good aromatics, taste the beef. Rare beef was less tender and a little chewy for myself (looked manually cut vs machine sliced) personal preference. Solid pho. Combination #1 Vermcelli Noodle Salad - overall tasty dish. Sorry to complain , but after going here a few times prior with good service , the last time, service / waitstaff was very limited and poor attention ... there wasn't enough servers and so parts of our orders never were delivered to our table and one dish at a time came out while the rest of us waited for ours . I called them and they said I'm sorry we're closed. Thank you so much. The restaurant is very tastefully decorated and they have a beautiful deck. I was with 5 other friends. They all got their dish in about 20-25 minutes. There were 3 other people in the restaurant. They came in after we did and they were eating already. I told my friends Just start eating. So finally I asked a helper where my lunch was? He went and got it finally. I was extremely disappointed in the egg roll. The wrap was not an egg roll wrap. It was very thick and the oil they used was just plain icky.
