    Garlic green beans
    Mikaila J.

Location is very easy to get to with a large parking lot. Inside has a nice space with bar seating, high tables and regular table seating. They also have an open kitchen view which is always fun to see. The basil wings are a must have. If you've been to their sister restaurant then you already know. You'll see these wings on every table and their is a reason why. We also got the garlic green beans which had a great crunch and freshness to the beans. The sauce was so good we put that on rice to make sure nothing went to waste. Dinner was Red Curry with Chicken and the Short Ribs. The Short Ribs were very tender and juicy. The peanut sauce had a good amount of peanut flavor with umami that went great with the short. The Red Curry was top tier! The chicken was super juicy and thai basil gave it great brightness and freshness to the dish.

    Amazing Pad Thai lunch

We dined here for lunch on Friday and sat outside since their patio is partially shaded. They have lots of lunch items to select from and the Pad Thai was delicious. And we enjoyed the tofu appetizer. The service was quick and decent. Overall this is a nice place inside and outside with good Asian food.

We always enjoy coming to Lat14, it's become one of our favorite spots for celebrations and dinners! I had the smoked salmon rice this time and thought it was really good with a nice spicy kick. My friends ordered the pad thai (which they ALWAYS get) and loved it as usual. One friend ordered the chicken and felt it was a little bland and smaller than expected. Overall, we all had a great experience and the staff was so friendly. The space is fun, the food is consistently good, and it's a great place for a group dinner or parties!

This was our second time trying this restaurant, and it was definitely worth coming back. The first time we visited right after they opened, the wait was pretty long, but this visit was much smoother. Our server was welcoming and attentive, and parking was easy. The standout dish for us was the Tom Yum Ramen--it completely exceeded our expectations. We also really enjoyed the basil wings, though they were on the smaller side. The Jeow Bong Fried Rice was the spiciest dish we ordered, and I was happy to find that it wasn't "Minnesota spicy". It actually had a nice kick! The open kitchen adds to the experience, and the balcony dining room was bright and inviting with plenty of natural light. Overall, a great meal, and we'll definitely be back.

The basil fried chicken is always a hit! I really enjoy the food here. It has a lot more options than the first time i came. I really enjoy the long eggrolls and fried rice. It was delicious. Would love to come back and try something else. The thai tea was good too if i recall correctly! The service was good and the vibe was quite nice and quiet.

This place gets busy! We came early but by the time we left there was a crowd at the entrance waiting to be seated. Be prepared for them to ask you to surrender your table right after you pay. They did it in a nice way but if you are looking for a Minnesota goodbye you're not gonna get it here. Otherwise the service was quick and friendly. The food and presentation were very nice. It reminds me of some of the other Asian restaurants in Minneapolis but in a more suburban setting with better parking. If I lived in the neighborhood I would be more likely to come back.

This place is your Asian fusion headquarters. Easy to find right on hwy 55 in Golden Valley. Inside decor is hip and modern. Great feel and energy. Service was great with friendly staff. Order: Tom Yum shrimp ramen. Delicious broth was both flavorful and bright with a perfect balance of savory and sour. Three huge shrimp swimming in the delicious broth were tender and fresh. A variety of mushrooms added great texture to the dish. The lunch combo included an Asian style slaw that was just ok. Two vegetable dumplings were nice and crunchy but the flavor was just mid. Overall: delicious bowl of ramen with a twist. Order it and enjoy!

I have been to Lat14 several times and enjoyed the food every time. The last 3 times I went to the restaurant was in the private dining area for a group dinner and it's a great place for group dinners. Nice range of food options with good service and atmosphere.

Went there to celebrate a friend's birthday and had a great experience. The service was superb, our server took care of our table of 14 flawlessly. The food was delicious; I ordered the Pad Thai with fried tofu and it was very flavorful, a friend order the wing and they were to die for, I really enjoyed the dry rub flavor and the taste of fried chicken. The drinks were also good and strong.

This place is always busy. The huge parking lot is typically full every night. Went around 4pm on a weekday and were able to get a table right away while it was quiet. Great service. The food is amazing. Love the basil wings. The crunch on them is everything. My go to for Thai or SE Asian restaurants is always pad Thai when I'm unsure. I opted for the drunken noodles with beef instead. Great choice. It tasted clean, served gourmet style, delicious and fresh. Enjoyed our table in the sunroom side of the restaurant. Cocktail was good. Overall, it's on the higher price side but worth it.

    Jeow Bong Shrimp Fried Rice
    Brett K.

Upon arrival the restaurant was absolutely slammed with people. Unfortunately our reservation was at 7pm and we weren't seated until 730. The good news is this was the only negative experience of the night and everything else more than made up for it resulting in a 5/5 experience I had the rambutan rum runner cocktail to start, and my god I felt like I was on a beautiful summer beach vacation. So tropical, fruity and sweet while being well balanced and not being overwhelmingly sweet. Packed a bit of ginger flavor giving it a hint of spice as well. So delish! For an entree I had the Jeow Bong Shrimp Fried Rice. This was hands down the best fried rice I've had in my whole life. So unbelievably flavorful while packing just the right punch. When I make fried rice at home this is what I dream of being able to create. I will come back for this dish alone! I was with friends celebrating an anniversary and they kindly brought us a free dessert. That was the ice cream seen here. A generous free dessert is always appreciated!

What an amazing experience! We went to Lat 14 to celebrate the anniversary of our friends and everything was absolutely perfect! We made a reservation but we did have to wait a bit for our table; it was a Friday and quite busy (understandably so). Even with the wait, our experience was incredible. We started off with the basil wings, which we ate too quickly to get picture of, but they were phenomenal. They were a dry rub that had no need for any sauce and I will be thinking about them for some time. For entrees, we ordered the jeow bong shrimp fried rice, the kai soi chiang mai (a curry served with white rice), and kare kare (beef shortrib). I couldn't say which dish was my favorite because they were all so different. All of them were 5/5 stars, though. All the food was brought out promptly and all dishes were served family style, which we loved. The service was incredible; our server was kind and super knowledgeable. The mood in the restaurant was peaceful, yet lively at the same time, making for a pleasant dining experience with our friends. We will definitely be back, Lat14 definitely will be added into our date-night rotation.

    Birthday dessert
    Lily D.

Super easy to make reservations. The parking lot can get pretty full but didn't seem like much of a wait for tables. Staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and patience. The place is more casual than the sister restaurants. Mango mojito is the Zara Larson Midnight Sun drink. The luq scoop was the highlight. One scoops comes for a complimentary birthday dessert, but it's $10 for 2 scoops. It is great for those who like coconut, crunch, and pineapple. The dishes come in family style and each dish comes out at different times when ready. Theres one spice level for each dish, but they offer a spice rack.

We made a reservation on both occasions but didn't have to make it too much in advance so it's always worth checking on. Service is always spectacular with a huge attention to detail and really customized spiels about the menu. The things I've recently tried for drinks have included the spritz del ambratta, the fiore, and a sparkling red from their wine selection. I find myself going back to the Fiore and would recommend that most although their wine is a solid selection as well. In my opinion, the best starter combination is the focaccia plus the lemony beans. The focaccia is solid and it's so good to dip in the mixture that the beans are doused in. The Caesar was decent as well but you can't miss with that other combo. Then, of course, the mains. If you love creamy pasta, do yourself a favor and get the cavatelli. One of my favorite dishes I've had there; I kept almost comparing it to an adult Mac and cheese. Great for sharing if creamy pastas are a bit too rich for your liking. The lasagna is always a close second and you can't go wrong with it. My friend adored the pickle pizza and I thought it was solid too although I would still probably get the cavatelli or lasagna if you are between that and the pizza. Another great shareable. The saffron spaghetti was decent with some really good bite from the noodles and the taste of saffron really coming through, but I would probably get those other dishes before I would order that. On the first occasion, I was there we were celebrating two of my friends' 30th birthdays and H&S did such a good job of celebrating and making them feel special plus they brought out French silk pie cannolis for us plus glasses of sparkling wine, so I would highly recommend this place as a celebratory dinner. Prices seemed a tad steep but frankly, given the quality of the drinks I'd say quite worth it. I started out with the Evita, a nice flavorful gin-base cocktail topped with a nice egg white foam. Very tasty. My wife opted for the Tapaculo, with gin, mezcal, pineapple, banana and bitters over ice. Also quite good. There are also bites available from the associated restaurant I can't recall the name of mine but I can say it was delicious. Bread-like bites with a really tasty dipping sauce. To close out the visit I selected Palo, a smoked aged rum cocktail that was really nice and rich. My wife chose the Nahualito with rum, walnut, amontillado and white chocolate.
