Great food, lots of options to choose from and great and friendly service. Hope to be back soon if in the area.

Vegetarian pho was wonderful and full of veggies: bok choy, broccoli, green onions, cilantro, white onion, and fried tofu. Broth was great, especially for a cold winter's day. They have a vast menu of items. It can get busy during the meal hours, with pick up orders as well. About ten tables inside. The owner is friendly, serving customers, and helping expedite orders.

I stumbled on this restaurant and boy am I glad I did. Super friendly and the food was AMAZING!!! Do try the Vietnamese coffee too, it's delicious.

Great food, great service! Highly recommend! The pho was incredible. Was scootering by on a rainy day and so glad we popped in here.

Would 100% come back. From the yummy food, to the fastest service ever, to a clean place, I don't have any criticism for this location. The waiter was definitely friendly and he made sure that I enjoyed my food. I also had a spring roll that I would definitely order again. If you're ever in the area, please go check this place out!

Great pho spot if you're near the capital! The portions are very large and packed with flavor. The staff was helpful with recommendations and explaining each dish. Nice interior with plenty of space to dine in.

I had lunch here on a particularly windy day in DC, and it was outstanding! It was exactly what the doctor ordered. Here's a picture of the spring rolls ahead

I came at an off meal hour and was surprised to see there were other patrons dining at the same time. I was greeted and seated immediately, and I ordered the fried spring rolls and the pho chin (well done beef). My order was out in minutes and everything was super fresh and hot. The egg rolls were fresh from the fryer, and the pho broth was flavorful and the portion size pretty good. My only complaint was that the meat had a lot of fat on it, and probably could have been trimmed better, but otherwise a good experience.

Food is decent but they closed earlier than advertised and leave their open light on drawing people to the door to just be disappointed. Don't be fooled, they close at 8:00 not 8:30...

Autumn is my favorite season to visit DC. The skies are clear, the air is crisp, and there's nothing better than enjoying a bowl of pho. At this cozy little pho spot, you'll find a warm, flavorful bowl of comfort. The prices are reasonable, the service is quick, and best of all--they have chili oil for that perfect kick of spice! Plus, it's just a short walk from the Capitol. Highly recommend!

A pretty solid option for pho in the area. We were waiting for our next bus at Union Station, so we loved that Pho79DC was only a short walk away from the station. The store is quite unassuming from the front, but there is actually ample seating available inside. The price for the pho was pretty standard for how much it is these days -- I wish the portions were enough, though I wish they were a little bigger. I also thought the broth and flavor was good, but nothing that knocked my socks off. The staff was very kind and friendly, making sure to fill our water as needed. This place is a good option in a pinch!

So I went with the vermicelli shrimp bowl and had them give me a side of peanut sauce to add some more taste to it. I also ordered the shrimp summer rolls and my friend and their kids ordered a steak pho, shrimp meal and a beef meal. They stated everything was great. The ordering process can be a bit confusing as you can order on a kiosk or there is someone at the register that you can also order from. Would be a dream for someone that doesn't prefer interaction. The bathrooms were REALLY nasty. Seemed as if they had not been cleaned in a while. There were also several tables that were empty but also dirty. Things you would think are only savory and only sweet are being combined. It took a while to process my experience here. We started with drinks. The golden prosperity was my favorite. The purple yam drink was okay but I wouldn't get again. Same with the grandmas candy char. Then we got the taro milk bread and their vegan bread. This was a great start. The culantro butter was amazing. The bread was soft. The vegan butter was nothing like I've ever tasted. You would never guess it was vegan. So flavorful and creamy. Then we got the salmon crudo. This was simple but flavorful. The strawberries weren't needed though. Then we got the mochi beignets. This was so unique. Flavor bomb for sure. I liked the eel but not sure if I liked it with the mochi. Then we got the charred eggplant. This was my least favorite dish. Nothing exciting and the consistency of the eggplant could have been softer. Then we got the gnocchi and crab. This was our absolute favorite. Like wow! So flavorful and decadent. The crab was the cherry on top. Then we got the quail and tomato rice. The quail was kind of dry on its own. Needed the tomato rice. The lemongrass pork was another favorite. The char and consistency of the pork was so good. The mango added a nice contrast. Then we the dessert. I wanted to like these as they have received awards for their desserts but this was just too complex for me. First we got the pandan pannacotta. There were these pieces of seaweed that really threw off the whole dish. Then we got the green curry sponge with a fish caramel sauce. This was okay but not sure I liked this savory/sweet combo. Overall very unique, very complex very interesting meal. I recommend trying it at least once but I probably won't be back.
