Imagine thinking you're trying a new restaurant, then realized you've been there before. I was excited when I arrived. The restaurant was lively and busy! Thankfully, I didn't wait long for a table. I ordered the vegetable ramen, which was amazing, and a bottle of unfiltered sake. The flavors came together beautifully. I highly recommend for a quick, tasty meal. I shall return!

So excited when we found this spot after a work conference. We loved the fried rice, it came with so much shrimp and scallop! This spot had the largest portion size compared to so many of the other meals we had. The karaage came with literally double of what we were expecting. The Dan Dan noodles were so flavorful. The eggplant was such a plus! Definitely bookmark this spot!

I come here frequently for their chili fish. The wait staff are always kind and patient, even when interesting characters wander in. Single stall toilet in the back and it's a long skinny restaurant with probably four or five four seater tables and one high one, as well as a small bar area.

We dined in for lunch and were seated right away. We enjoyed the tempura for starter and the vegetable tempura was perfectly crisp with a soft center. The dumplings were okay but nothing stood out about them. The ramen broth was flavorful and the fillings were plentiful. Overall we would eat here again.

I came back for seconds. I made it out ti D.C. again and stopped into Reren Lamen & Bar. I ordered the General Tso's Bourbon Chicken. It just as good as last time. I also ordered the Spicy Dumplings. The dumplings were hot, spicy and delicious. Service was great and nice clean interior. If you are ever in D.C. check out Reren Lamen & Bar!

My friends and I had a reading party event at the National Portrait Gallery. It was SOOO cold, so we decided to stop here for some ramen. I have been to this place quite a few times in the past few years, and their Georgetown and the food are delicious. Today I was craving the classic General Tso chicken and also got a Mai Tai to complement the yapping and gossiping with my friends. Both my friends got the signature lamen. For an appetizer, we got veggie house-made dumplings. The food was delicious, per usual, and the drinks were as well. The service was speedy and attentive. Even though it is a small restuarant there is a fast turnaround for seating and eating. I like this spot and can't help but stop here every time I am near Chinatown.

Lots of seating and big portions! Dan dan noodles had a boatload of peanuts and meat, the ratio i like :). A little kick, and super flavorful. Needed a bit more greens, like scallions cilantro or cucumbers to offset the heavy flavor, but thats just my preference. The crispy fish was also fantastic as well, peppery and crispy, and my friends enjoyed their ramens. Definitely a different broth than the Japanese ones.

The food was delicious!. First time trying it, I love it and I would go back. Dishes was excellent and authentic of course. The service was good, we waited for a few mins for a table and the ambiance was good.

We stopped here for a quick dinner while attending a convention nearby. We were fortunate to get a table as soon as we walked in-- the place is not large and there were several parties waiting by the time we left. The service was fast though and the food was amazing. I had the smashed cucumbers (just the right amount of spicy) and the chicken ramen (also tasty). The ambiance isn't fancy but it doesn't need to be when the food is this good.

We stopped in for dinner at the Georgetown location. We decided to order from the appetizer menu. We had the spicy wonton, popcorn chicken, duck and pork buns, sticky rice, and soup dumplings. Everything was ok. The popcorn chicken being the favorite. Duck wasn't as crispy as I would have liked. Service was decent. If I returned I'd probably try something off entree instead

Vegetable dumplings, spicy pork dumplings, smashed cucumbers

Food was all very good. Smaller app portions, so order several. Food came out incredibly fast. Small and unassuming location, but worth the stop. Looked like a popular spot for locals

I came for a quick lunch and for once I disnt want soup. I ordered the crazy fish and a cucumber salad and it was so good. The fish was fried to perfection and the onions and peppers were delicious in their own or as a garnish for the fish. The cucumber salad was spicy and tangy. The service was quick and attentive.

This is an extremely standard, affordable, chinese restaurant with decent food. The service is fast, the space is clean, if this were in a suburb it would likely be viewed as excellent food, but because there's options in DC it's just good. You can walk in, there are enough tables, they have some cocktails and your typical beers like tsingtao. The menu has all the expected chinese dishes from twice fried pork to soup dumplings. Not one dish is stellar, but I think the dan dan noodles are a good choice. They will likely not be the best dan dan noodles you can get, but they are flavorful and do the trick. Don't come here to impress a girl or your parents, but if you just want a quick bite of not completely americanized chinese food, this is not a bad place to do it.

Since there were only two of us, we shared an eight-person table with three other couples, which gave it a very authentic Japanese ramen shop vibe. Our server was attentive from the start. As soon as he finished taking our order, he asked if anyone needed a fork. I really appreciated that, since I don't know how to use chopsticks and didn't have to awkwardly ask for one myself. We started with the gyoza, which were so crispy and flavorful that we ended up ordering a second plate. For ramen, we tried the tsukemen, which comes with cold noodles that you dip into a rich, soy-forward broth. It was an interesting experience, but after a while the repetitive dipping became a bit tedious for me. We also ordered the spicy miso ramen, which was my favorite of the two. It had a nice kick without being overwhelmingly spicy. It also came with bean sprouts, which aren't usually my favorite, but they added a pleasant crunch and texture to the bowl. Overall, this was a really solid meal. It wasn't quite the mind-blowing experience I had built up in my head, but it's still one of the better ramen spots I've had in DC. I'll definitely be back to check out the izakaya upstairs.

Karaage was okay. Takoyaki lacked impact in flavor also, missing the oomf! Seaweed salad was good but I'm not gonna rave about seaweed salad. We wrapped things up with the tiramisu cake. Oh boy, that was a surprise. It fell flat. The layers were overcooked and had a tough bite. I expect tiramisu to have a tender bite to it. We didn't finish that slice of cake. The lighting is low, which makes it a good spot for a date or a chill dinner. I sat at the bar area, which actually overlooks the cooking station. Service was fine, nothing bad, nothing over-the-top. I ordered the JINYA Chicken Ramen, which is usually my go-to at any ramen spot, so I had a lot to compare it to. The broth was a little mild at first, so I tried to doctor it up. The condiments they had out weren't really my usual choices. I normally reach for sesame oil, vinegar, or even a little hoisin, but they didn't have those. There was dumpling sauce, something that looked like a chili garlic sauce (but wasn't quite), and one other option. That said, interestingly enough, the next day the broth tasted way more flavorful. The chicken, though, was really good. Chicken in ramen can sometimes be dry or bland, but this was moist and very tender, which I appreciated. Another thing to note that I liked was that you can get free noodles if you have broth left over! I also ordered the dragon fruit fizz, and it was delicious and smelled amazing. One glass gave me a slight buzz, but mostly it was just a really good drink. Bonus points for location. It's right across the street from a free three-hour parking garage, which is always a win. There's also an upstairs portion to this restaurant, which I didn't see. Overall, I'd come back if I was in the area and in the mood for ramen.
