Wonton House Hand Made Dumplings (6 Pieces)
    Allison C.

We dined in for lunch and were seated right away. We enjoyed the tempura for starter and the vegetable tempura was perfectly crisp with a soft center. The dumplings were okay but nothing stood out about them. The ramen broth was flavorful and the fillings were plentiful. Overall we would eat here again.

I came back for seconds. I made it out ti D.C. again and stopped into Reren Lamen & Bar. I ordered the General Tso's Bourbon Chicken. It just as good as last time. I also ordered the Spicy Dumplings. The dumplings were hot, spicy and delicious. Service was great and nice clean interior. If you are ever in D.C. check out Reren Lamen & Bar!

Lots of seating and big portions! Dan dan noodles had a boatload of peanuts and meat, the ratio i like :). A little kick, and super flavorful. Needed a bit more greens, like scallions cilantro or cucumbers to offset the heavy flavor, but thats just my preference. The crispy fish was also fantastic as well, peppery and crispy, and my friends enjoyed their ramens. Definitely a different broth than the Japanese ones.

The food was delicious!. First time trying it, I love it and I would go back. Dishes was excellent and authentic of course. The service was good, we waited for a few mins for a table and the ambiance was good.

We stopped here for a quick dinner while attending a convention nearby. We were fortunate to get a table as soon as we walked in-- the place is not large and there were several parties waiting by the time we left. The service was fast though and the food was amazing. I had the smashed cucumbers (just the right amount of spicy) and the chicken ramen (also tasty). The ambiance isn't fancy but it doesn't need to be when the food is this good.

We stopped in for dinner at the Georgetown location. We decided to order from the appetizer menu. We had the spicy wonton, popcorn chicken, duck and pork buns, sticky rice, and soup dumplings. Everything was ok. The popcorn chicken being the favorite. Duck wasn't as crispy as I would have liked. Service was decent. If I returned I'd probably try something off entree instead

I came for a quick lunch and for once I disnt want soup. I ordered the crazy fish and a cucumber salad and it was so good. The fish was fried to perfection and the onions and peppers were delicious in their own or as a garnish for the fish. The cucumber salad was spicy and tangy. The service was quick and attentive.

This is an extremely standard, affordable, chinese restaurant with decent food. The service is fast, the space is clean, if this were in a suburb it would likely be viewed as excellent food, but because there's options in DC it's just good. You can walk in, there are enough tables, they have some cocktails and your typical beers like tsingtao. The menu has all the expected chinese dishes from twice fried pork to soup dumplings. Not one dish is stellar, but I think the dan dan noodles are a good choice. They will likely not be the best dan dan noodles you can get, but they are flavorful and do the trick. Don't come here to impress a girl or your parents, but if you just want a quick bite of not completely americanized chinese food, this is not a bad place to do it.

Grabbed ramen to go here for lunch since a friend had told me she loved their Chinese style ramen. I ordered the signature lamen at the bar in the front - It came out after about 10 minutes and it really hit the spot! The broth was light and flavorful, and the noodles were thick and plentiful! I would definitely come back and recommend this to anyone!

Amazing food and in a great place too. Very close to walking distance to the hotels and in DC's chinatown district. The food came out very quick and hot. I had the twice cooked pork (回锅肉) and it came with rice. Food was flavorful and the pork was not overcooked as it sometimes is with some places. I sat at the bar and had water with my meal, the restaraunt was fairly busy and there were many people. I would describe the menu as fusion with traditional Chinese and americanized Chinese dishes. I would come back here again if I were back in the DMV.

Will be back for the wonton soup!! Stayed at the motto next door and stopped in for some food after a walk around the city. Luckily we were seated immediately but the dining area was already pretty full. We came at the right time because a line quickly formed after! Me and my friend ordered the wonton soup, dim sum, fried rice and the chicken karage. Everything was delicious but the wonton soup was hands down my favorite and perfect for a cold day!

I bet this place can be great, I was just limited with what I could order. The vegetable dumplings were top notch. 10/10, I would 100% order again. They are hand made and the dumpling skin is fantastic. We also got chicken karaage and general tso bourbon chicken. They are both breaded chicken and fried the same way. My younger son loved the general tso, my older son ate some of the karaage (with the sauce on the side). For me, I felt getting both dishes to be redundant, but since they ate different things I don't regret it. My husband got an old fashioned and really enjoyed it. They have a full liquor bar with a cocktail menu. I skipped getting a cocktail because other than the old fashioned they all seemed to have sour mix. Service was quick and there were tons of open tables at 5 pm on a Tuesday. The mural on the wall is pretty cool. I liked this place and if you eat pork (which I don't) you may love this place.

While walking around China Town I stepped in to have a meal. I ordered the pork dumplings and spicy chicken. The dumplings had plenty of pork filling inside but the flavor didn't really pop. Just average dumplings here. The spicy chicken was not spicy at all and the red sauce was sweet. I didn't really care for the coating they had on the chicken as it had that gummy feeling that sticks to your teeth. Maybe I didn't choose the right items off the menu, but the meal I did eat was average at best.

For awareness, they limit dining in to about an hour and a half - because the restaurant is fairly small, they want folks to make their seats available for other guests pretty quickly. They weren't rude about enforcing this time limit, but they definitely tell you up front and quickly gather your orders/plates to help move you though the meal quickly. The wings weren't "firecracker" -- not spicy at all -- but had a very nice dry rub and smoky flavor (very similar to the wings at Succotash). The dumplings were enormous and pretty good, but I wish the sauce stuck to the dumplings better. Ramen was also good; I preferred the Spicy Miso over the Tonkotsu. Service was a little too basic. I ordered the JINYA Chicken Ramen, which is usually my go-to at any ramen spot, so I had a lot to compare it to. The broth was a little mild at first, so I tried to doctor it up. The condiments they had out weren't really my usual choices. I normally reach for sesame oil, vinegar, or even a little hoisin, but they didn't have those. There was dumpling sauce, something that looked like a chili garlic sauce (but wasn't quite), and one other option. That said, interestingly enough, the next day the broth tasted way more flavorful. The chicken, though, was really good. Chicken in ramen can sometimes be dry or bland, but this was moist and very tender, which I appreciated.
