My son attended this daycare back when Camille was in charge. We had a wonderful experience. Camille created a fun and positive atmosphere for the staff, which naturally extended to the children. Each classroom had a unique theme, and the lunch menu was always exciting. I would often drop in unexpectedly, and everything was always in order. However, I was not particularly fond of the area manager, Angel. Her unprofessional behavior and personal drama, involving her creepy, cheating husband, were evident to the parents. I also witnessed her speaking down to the front desk staff on several occasions, which was very uncomfortable to see. It has been years since we had contact with this daycare, as we moved abroad, but Yelp keeps requesting a review. So, here it is. read more

My daughter is now nearly 14 months and has been attending this daycare since she was about 6 months old. I was so hesitant to have to place her in daycare but PCA has taken absolutely AMAZING care of her. I never have to worry if she is being taken care of properly. They have a great meal program and even take extra steps to work around all her food allergies. They truly treat her as if she were their own child! Before enrolling in phoenix children's academy I called and toured at least 6 other daycare centers. Phoenix Children's Academy stood out to me for its cozy environment, kind staff, and caring teachers. I met with Ariane for my first visit, she answered all my questions and concerns. My son is in Miss Breanna's class and loves it there. I love the attention the kids get. My son's class starts their mornings by reading books. The class environment is calm which I love. The reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because of the food - a lot of food is canned. I wish it wasn't but understand that most daycares provide canned food. Not all food is canned which is great. So thankful I found PCA Lindsay! After being a stay at home mom for 2 years, my husband and I discusses and decided it was time to go back to work and find a daycare for our son. We had a vision of the care we were looking for, for our son, so then began the research. I looked around for a few months, reading reviews, visiting schools, and nothing quite fit the bill. I was honestly, genuinely nervous I wasn't going to find anywhere for my son and was going to be a SAHP until he started grade school. The last appointment I had made to tour a school changed everything. I was so happy and pleased with everything PCA had to offer - the wonderful and caring staff, the beautiful and clean facility, the amazing playground, classroom windows with natural light!! I literally cried when I took my initial tour and immediately called my husband and said, "THIS WAS THE PLACE." I was lucky enough to get (I think) one of the last spots in the classroom for his age group, and he was able to start almost immediately. The school provides meals to our son, which has opened his tastebuds to things he might not eat at home; he loves all the enrichment activities, he loves his friends and his teachers. I love the pace of mind I get from the app and the notifications/pictures I get throughout the day. But the biggest kicker of all is how excited he gets when we turn into the parking lot - I hear a big gasp of excitement when he sees his school and he knows he gets to go play with his friends and teachers. Some days he literally doesn't want to leave. Everyone at the school is amazing. Everyone pitches in to help with a smile. A BIG shoutout to Miss Brianna for our initial start and assisting with the new transition, Miss Cierra for continuing the process, and everyone else in between. Even before we joined PCA we could tell they cared more about earning our business than any of the other daycares we toured. They were the only ones who continued to follow up with us and that ended up being a large part of why we chose to send our son there in the end as communication was a huge thing for us being that this is our first child. Since we started at PCA, our expectations have continued to be exceeded day after day. Not only are they even more communicative than we expected but they really care about making sure we're comfortable and our son has a positive experience. They have gone above and beyond to accommodate our son's super sensitive skin, they send us pictures and updates throughout the day so we know what's going on, and they have fun days and activities even for the babies and parents! So incredibly grateful I found PCA!!! After having a horrible experience with another childcare I felt discouraged and scared to place my son in another childcare. I told my husband if this childcare experience was the same I was going to have to quit my job and we'd have to figure it out. From the very first day I dropped my baby boy off it has been a wonderful experience! Ms. Caitlin the director and Ms. Ariane the assistant director are so warm and friendly! Ms. Kim the classroom head teacher is amazing and truly loves the babies! All the staff are amazing and truly love our sweet kiddos! They do so much fun activities with the kids including the infants! They do so many cute little photo shoots and crafts! All the updates and photos are so sweet! My son is so happy when I drop him off and pick him up. My husband's and my schedule very so we pick up at different times each day and no matter what time we pick our son up he is happy and being so well taken care of! I never feel anxious about dropping my son off at PCA and I feel so blessed to have found this gem of a childcare! I am so glad I found PCA. I put my daughter in daycare before I planned on doing so and was really nervous about the transition, for both of us. I toured a couple schools that I didn't like and then immediately liked PCA when I walked in. Ms. Traci and Ms. Moira are so warm and friendly and all of their teachers have made me feel like they are part of my "village". I get texts and pictures and updates every single day that keeps my momma anxiety at bay. I am also so impressed with the knowledge she is gaining - at 2.5, my girl can sing her alphabet, count to 20 (almost), name her community helpers, and so much more. They're working with her now on potty training. I am so grateful for the foundation that they are giving her. My daughter has attended for a little over a year now and it is her very favorite place in the world, and we have gotten other families to join as well! I definitely recommend PCA. read more

This is glorified daycare. My son went here for about six months. In the six months he had five incidents with another kid and he was sent home with scratches on his face or some part of his body. According to the staff this child's was aggressive with many children, And was on a behavior plan. The teachers moved him into a different classroom where he seem to be excelling. About a month after, I get a call saying my son had been in an incident and had been scratched. And come to find they moved the child that he was having problems with into the class that he was in. After five incidents with just my son. I cant imagine how many incidents with others, the child was allowed to stay at school and continue to hurt other children. My child is now at a different preschool, to make sure he is safe an unharmed. read more

Regretfully, I have to post about this facility. When my oldest granddaughter started here we were pleased with the school overall. She changed classrooms once potty trained and our main teacher was phenomenal so we also enrolled my youngest granddaughter. Needless to say neither of them are enrolled to date. We lost our teacher. They have lost many teachers. The director is not pleasant and quite frankly just hung up on me after we were charged all of a sudden after 30 days of not being there. The corporate number they give you is bogus, no one answers or responds. Needless to say they need more than just a website or name change. Before choosing this program for your infant or toddler visit the school during the busy times so you can see the chaos firsthand and by all means stand at the door and watch through the window unnoticed and monitor the front desk awhile while signing in, then think twice!!! They made it sound good and look good until they couldn't. read more

This place is like a prison for our toddler. We thought maybe he just needed to adjust, but months in, and he still dreads going. As soon as we pull into the parking lot he starts saying, "No, no,no!" Then every time I pick him up he appears to have been crying for hours, and they're never honest about it (when he cries for a long time he gets red blotches on his forhead). Then when I ask about his day, they can never answer me. Most times it is not even the same teacher who was with him when he started the day. EVERY TIME I pick him up, his diaper is full. They claim to teach them curriculum, but I have yet to see anything to prove this. I always find them in a cramped room just wondering around playing with toys he brought with him. We are suppose to get daily reports, which we have not gotten. Even after setting up our online portal, we get nothing. The staff is nice, but it's that nice where they truly do not care, because they have hundreds of other kids making them enough money. We will be withdrawing our child, and I do not reccomend them. read more

I cannot say enough good things about the daycare. My son is happy everyday! No matter what time I pick him up, the children are always busy and well cared for. I have had some issues with my schedule at work, and the administrative department has been so accommodating and understanding. From start to finish, just a wonderful experience. After attending for almost 2 years now and witnessing staff turnover, which most turned out to be for the best, I could not be more grateful to PCA and their staff. While I can only speak to the infant and now toddler classes, my daughter has done nothing but thrive. While we faced a few challenges, after speaking to the school about our concerns they happily worked with us to find a solution that made us comfortable. Sometimes I'm "that mom", but they have never made me feel bad or weird for it. The school is bright, clean, friendly, and I love that they teach sign language starting so young. They also provide meals as they get older and for a busy mom of 2, this makes my life so much easier. I was looking for a preschool that offered drop in care during the week between summer camp and school. Lori, the school's Assistant Director, was over-the-top helpful and offered to accommodate our needs. During the week our daughter attended Phoenix Children's Academy, she had so much fun every day! She was excited to go, and always happy when I picked her up. They provide a pro-social environment for the kids and excellent customer service for families. I came in to pick up my toddler from his usual class and a teacher i didn't recognize was in the room when i picked up my son. When i picked him up i realized his diaper was FULL of poop and he had dried snot all over his face and there were 1 year olds standing on the tables unsupervised . I asked her if he could be changed before he left and she told me "i don't do diapers, this isn't my class". I asked her what her name was and she refused to give it to me. I tried to bring it up to someone at the front desk and no one was up front, i waited over 10 minutes before i just left. I brought it up to his teacher the next day and his teacher said that miss Jennifer isn't usually in there and it won't happen again. SHE HAS BEEN IN THERE ALMOST EVERYDAY SINCE. I don't trust her, the room is always crazy and my son is still disgusting when i pick up. I feel like after i said something about it to his teacher, they intentionally don't change or clean him as retaliation. read more

This school is amazing! My daughter has been going here since she was one. She is now five and in pre-k. They have a kindergarten readiness program that she just started and she is learning healthy eating, our home phone number and address. The staff is so good with all the kids. Very enthusiastic and patient. The kids have a garden out back and the school does a ton of fun events such as snow day, breakfast with Santa, parties on holidays, trunk or treat, theme weeks, vet appreciation, and so much more. My family has had an amazing experience at Phoenix Children's Academy. Our three year old and 7 month old both attend and we have been very happy with their experiences. My three year old is learning so much and I really believe in their curriculum! It is obvious that the staff love my children and it makes it so much easier to leave them while I am at work. The few times that we have brought up minor concerns the staff is very responsive and they work with my child on an individual basis to help him learn and grow. We have experienced minimal turnover of the staff and very frequently I walk in and the staff is celebrating each other's birthdays or special life events. It feels to me that there is a special family feel among the staff which translates to the kids. Covid has challenged our society in many ways but I feel the CEO of the company has worked diligently to maintain a safe environment for the children. The staff has always remained in good communication with a very honest and safety first approach. It's hard to leave my children in the hands of others but I can breathe easy when they are at PCA. read more

Least favorite, hands down! I was in the room while the toddlers were outside and saw a worker squirt a boy in the face because he was crying. They were under e-coli investigation at the time and I overheard a worker say how Ms. Darling didn't warn her of it before she put her food out to eat. The person came into disinfect as they were eating in there already. They had crazy, inappropriate music playing in the toddler room as well!!!! The Toddler worked (i wish I could remember her name) was horribly rude to the kids going potty before they headed outside. I couldn't even believe all this happened. They say they have an open door policy but man did I have to announce myself a lot. I can see why now. I don't think they knew where I was while I was gathering things. Awful!!!! I'm sure it's not all like this and hope by now it's changed but it's disgusting and the toddler room was the absolute worst I saw. read more

Where to start... PCA has been a complete godsend for our family. My three boys have been going for about 2 years now and we've had experience in the 2's class, 3's, and 4's, full time as well as school age with my older two after school, during the summer and on breaks. I have been through about 4 different "child care" experiences including in-home care, and I truly feel that PCA is an extension of our family. They have loved and cared for my boys above and beyond what is required of them at every possible turn. The administration is second to none and ANY TIME I have needed to voice a thought or concern they have been attentive and thorough to my child's specific needs. They know what to expect from their staff and everyone is like minded. They have a flawless understanding of children and I know without a doubt that when I walk out the door, my children are in the best of hands when they are out of my own. Our son has gone here since he was 11 weeks old and loves it. The teachers are caring, creative and very engaging with the kids. We love the learning that occurs at the earliest levels including sign language, developmental skills, arts and music. By 6 months my son was signing to us at home. It's comforting to drop out son off and see that he and the teachers are excited to see each other. We toured several places before selecting this daycare/school. PHoenix Children's Academy was the only place that made us take off our shoes or put on shoe covers before entering the infant rooms to keep germs and dirt away from the babies who are often crawling and playing on the floor. That impressed us. They even wash the infants' hands after diaper changes, which installs great habits from the beginning. Each month they have spirit dress up days, a family event at the school and other fun ways for the families to connect and the kids to learn. We love PCA - Lindsay!!! read more

I've been touring child center for months. This center is by far one of my least favorite. Hours are great but this facility has overworked and cramped rooms especially in the infant and toddler rooms. I've toured this center twice thinking possibly the first time was simply an off day for them. They do have a set curriculum, but each room seemed to be complete chaos. The first time I came about 4 months ago there was the typical chaos, snotty noses, crying kids and an infant crying in a corner crib and for at least 3mins (the whole time we were in the room) while one of the teachers said "ohh he's sooo tired." I almost died!!! I get the typical prenap fuss but this child was crying in a panic. The room teacher didn't bat an eye and continued picking up lunch while he sat as the only one being put down for nap? Not sure why he was the only one.. maybe at parents request ?!! The rooms smelt of poopy diapers and the kids all looked haggard. And I mean ROUGH! The second time around the same.. yet no lonely crying infant being neglected. If I was a single parent struggling to pay daycare and needed extremely long hours I would take this place and Tutor Time into consideration. BUT I'm not and so far after touring 20+centers I would say Goddard by far has been my favorite along with Graces Christian preschool in Ahwatukee. I was impressed with both centers. My children attended PCA for many years. I am so appreciative of the quality of the education and the care they provided. You can really tell they love the kids and work in their best interest always. Previous child care centers had sent my child home dirty or without any work to show. PCA never has sent my child home dirty and they always were bringing home projects or I just had to walk around and the projects were on display. My kids are in school now so we have moved on. But I know that should the need arise again, I would choose PCA for my family's child care needs. read more

I'd like to start off by saying this school is the best around!! The director and assistant director are amazing! Every time I walk into the school they greet me with a warm smile and are very welcoming. They always ask me how I am doing. This is a big plus for me. The school is very family oriented and it assures me that my kids are being well taken care of. One thing that I enjoy most about this school is that they have had the same teachers for a long period of time. High turnover is something I worry about when choosing a daycare but the fact that their teachers are staying tells me they enjoy what they are doing and where they work. Many of their teachers have education and are certified in child care. The ciriculum is upstanding and they schedule a lot of crafts and events to support what they are learning. My children love going to school and seeing their teachers and they have learned so much. I have struggled trying to potty train my 3 yr old... because of the teachers strict routine and positive encouragement I was finally able to get him potty trained. My son has been going here for almost two years and he absolutely loves it! The staff is very friendly and he loves his teachers. They are always learning and doing so many fun things! He looks forward to all the yearly events like "trunk or treat" and "breakfast with Santa". Sometimes I will be talking to my him and he will say something that I had no idea he knew about and when I ask where he learned it from he says school. We absolutely adore PCA! As a teacher, I am extremely picky about the care for our daughter and searched extensively (over 10 preschools in the valley!) for a perfect environment for her. We knew we found it with this preschool. She learns so much each day (we hear new things every evening!!), she adores her teachers and directors, and has so many amazing resources at her disposal (love computer time, garden, snow days, just so much!!). After staying home with my son for several months we made the choice for me to start working again. I was so happy & excited to grow with him plus be there everyday while working to help support my family. So what a better job then child care right? No we were wrong. Only after 3 months I was running for my life. I tried to put my notice in 3 times with upper management & co teacher trying to guilt in me in to staying. With over 10 years of experience I was only getting $10.75 hour. After child care & taxes it was $8.00. The hardest party was the long hours, if they even asked if you could stay late, they just assumed. Waiting long times for bath room being told by administration "they were busy". The children are completey out of control with no discipline and the children in my class hit, spit, RAN out all day and yelled. Very unsafe classroom for other children & staff. This is a child & parent ran school...they can do whatever they want. My own sons behavior changed as well. He would cry every day like most of the children there and hasn't been the same sweet child in months. When go in to the school you can hear the sadness in the hallways. My son was always coming home dirty with bite marks and so thirsty like he didn't drink anything all day. Oh let's not forget my co teacher, who was out of her mind saying crazy thing everyday. She always yelled at the children with her erratic behavior and she was very undependable being in the hospital twice in 6 weeks. Puls she didn't do anything in the class but be mean to the kids. To think $2 more a hour then me and with a degree she is a bad teacher. The day I quite she harassed me via phone with no support from upper management or HR. The harassment was horrible from the other staff members too. All staff had nasty looks on there faces & I could tell they all hated there jobs. No one smiles there...if they do it's fake. It's not normal to look mad in a child care center. I've never worked in such a unhealthily work place like that. There was so much favoritism with the regional director with staff and life timers that there kids even took the place over and harassed you. Please think twice before working there or taking your child there. In 3 months I saw 2 new directors and tons of new staff. They keep the numbers up by enrolling new kids everyday don't be fooled this is not a safe & healthy child care center for children or staff. read more

We started in the infants class with Ms. Gina and Ms. Amanda, (they are AMAZING teachers by the way) and have recently moved up to the toddlers class! My daughter has learned so much while attending PCA. She loves to sit and read with me, color, and was even signing to me at 8 months old. She learned all these things at PCA. I am ALWAYS greeted by the front desk, coming and going from the facility. (Camille is so friendly at the desk) The teachers truly love their kids here.
