We decided to have dinner at PCG after having a few drinks with friends next door at Still and Barrel, their sister restaurant. The food and service were great, and if you're a whiskey lover, this is a good place to check out! They have an awesome collection! Definitely recommend stopping by!

Went to city grille for an event. I chose tortilla soup and salad. We had our own private room and servers which was nice. The food was good. The salad had a good amount of chicken and sold dressing.

This place is so unassuming on the outside... inside has dim and moody lighting, a huge bar, lots of space for tables and booths... it's a vibe. I got a slice of the green chile cornbread because IT IS NATURALLY GLUTEN FREE HOLY MOLY! No idea why but I won't question it. Guys, it was so frickin good. So moist. Nice pieces of corn. Great flavor. I didn't need the butter, but used a little to elevate it just a little more. Yummmmm. I also got the summer salad with salmon skewer - the salmon, I wished I had more of it. It was so tender and cooked perfectly! The salad was otherwise refreshing with various fruit and tangy cheese and a lemon mint vinaigrette to tie it altogether. It was great with the bread, made it a complete meal, otherwise the salad on its own wouldn't have been as satisfying. My boyfriend got the large PCG pasta, which didn't look that large lol but he was full after eating the entire bowl! He loved the cream sauce, two thumbs up. Good service, it was pretty quick!

One of my favorite spots for happy hour or dinner. Always consistent and always adding great specials Last night went for anniversary dinner. Service was terrific as always. Had the peppercorn steak for entree and it was cooked perfectly and had tons of flavor. For starters we did the green chile cornbread which is a favorite. We also got the eggplant bites which may be the best thing on the menu. Lastly had the warm chocolate tort for dessert. Perfect ending to a terrific meal.

Things have certainly changed here since owner Sheldon bowed out and turned the place over to new management. It's not a good sign when every time you visit there are new servers, maybe one regular. Tip: stick with menu regular items you're used to, favorites, not their specials. They are overpriced and usually in weird pairings and sauces. Last night my dinner partner got the special baked halibut on top of smoked beets. For $40 it looked like an appetizer and was gone in six bites. While I ordered the Coffee Rubbed Pork Tenderloin. We know exactly where this recipe idea came from and it wasn't close. The chef needs to go back through the files and find Sergio's recipe! The pork was served bloody rare and I've never seen that before. I cut off the thin seared edges and that was all I could eat. The puree/sauce was not good and the entire thing was flavorless. As usual the service was excellent and we will keep trying our fav items in hopes the new management gets things figured out, especially the cooks' quality of food they send out.

One of our go to places. Starts ex with the bacon wrapped shrimp. Always so great. Did the burgers and they really are some of the best. Service was kind of off this particular day... but that won't stop us from returning.

I was brought to Phoenix City Grille by a local today and ended up having a great late lunch. It seems they are open all day which was convenient for us. We arrived around 2 pm, and although the restaurant was still fairly busy, the server was kind enough to seat us in a quieter section toward the back upon request, which I really appreciated. Our server came by quickly and handed us menus, and we ordered the Ramona Farms super food salad, the carne asada tacos, and the blackened mahi mahi daily special. The salad was delicious and came with a Chiltepin-Dijon dressing. I was pleasantly surprised by the flavor since it had just a touch of spice that elevated what could have been a simple dish. All of their salad dressings are made in-house, which explains the unique taste and definitely sets it apart. The carne asada tacos were exactly what you would expect: classic, straightforward, and satisfying. The daily fish special, the blackened mahi mahi, was also excellent. It was served medium well with a crisp outer finish, which is exactly how I like it, and came with broccolini, mango salsa, and a red wine reduction that complemented the fish really well. Prices here are surprisingly reasonable considering the quality of the food. You can expect to spend around thirty dollars per person for a drink, an appetizer or salad, and an entrée. I would recommend Phoenix City Grille to anyone looking for a quick, delicious meal with great value. A very solid find.

Amazing food and pleasant ambiance! Came here with my son and husband for a Saturday lunch. Was not busy at all. They've been around 25+ years but somehow neither of us had tried it before! They have a huge alcohol selection too if you're into that. My husband got a bd on cheeseburger and I got the crispy eggplant sandwich. I loved the arugula and goat cheese on mine, my husband said his burger was one of the best he's had. We enjoyed our fries too, super thin fries and very crispy. My son enjoyed a couple fries too! Service was good and fast as well. Glad we found this spot finally, we will return!

It has a lovely ambiance, the food is good, and while we had a few issues with our food, the service was delightful. We also found some fun offers when booking through OpenTable. We arrived to Aftermath for an evening reservation on a Saturday night that we made through OpenTable. The parking spots in front were taken so we drove around to the back where there was plenty of parking. We found a parking spot right by the back door to the restaurant, which we had to pull to open (though that was easy to do). We then walked to the host stand and were seating right upon arrival. Our server Allyn was wonderful! She answered our many questions, gave some great recommendations, and made us feel right at home. We started out by ordering a cocktail and wanted something fruity, sweet, and made with vodka, and while nothing on the menu fit this request, we had Allyn work with the bartender to create a "Bartender's Choice" drink, which turned out to be a Blackberry Mint. It was exactly what we were hoping for. We then ordered Rigatoni Alla Vodka for my wife (consisting of imported rigatoni, Calabrian chili vodka sauce, parmesan, and basil) and an Aftermath Burger for me (consisting of 2 Arizona grass fed blend patties, velveeta, red onion, house pickles, toasted onion Kona bun, and Aftermath burger sauce with fries). We learned that the Rigatoni Alla Vodka has a spiciness level of 2 out of 5, though Allyn put in a request for my wife to get it at a 1 out of 5, and it was perfect. Our only issue is that when my dish arrived, the fries were actually cold and the burgers were barely lukewarm. It was busy at that time in the restaurant, and once I got the attention of someone to assist, they quickly brought out a replacement burger, which was delicious. The fries tasted almost as if they were nuked in a microwave, but they were still a good complement to the burger. Learn more about Aftermath at https://aftermathphoenix.com. They are open for lunch daily from 11-3 except for Friday and Saturday when they are open from 10-3. They are open daily for dinner from 4-10 PM. They have daily happy hour from 4-6 PM and live music every Sunday from 7-9 PM. Open Table also offers specials. The first time you book Aftermath through Open Table, you can get a drink for only a penny. After several visits, you then earn a free appetizer or dessert, and after several more visits, you earn a free burger. While we had the issue with the burger and fries temperature, Aftermath redeemed themselves by quickly replacing it, and otherwise, we had a very good experience. We do plan on visiting again in the near future.

Probably not going back to Dick's…read more.. We were visiting both Phoenix and Scottsdale with friends and decided to meet up at Dick's Hideaway for dinner after hearing good things. There were six of us, and we were quoted a 45-minute wait, which seemed reasonable at first. However, their system for managing waits is honestly pretty frustrating. There are no reservations, no text notifications, and no call when your table is ready. You're basically left hovering and guessing. We did make it back in time for our table, but a simple "hey, your table's ready" system would go a long way in making guests feel valued. We were seated around 8 PM after waiting and taken to a large corner booth in the back. Unfortunately, there were still two people from the previous party lingering at the table even after they had paid and the rest of their group had already left. I understand finishing drinks, but it felt inconsiderate given how busy the restaurant was and how long people were waiting. After being seated, it took about 15 minutes before anyone came to our table, and even then, not everyone in our group was acknowledged right away. Things didn't improve much from there. It took over 30 minutes just to place our food order. From what we could tell, there was only one server handling the entire restaurant. I can definitely empathize with how difficult that must be, but at the same time, when we first arrived, she appeared to be standing near the entrance rather than actively managing tables, which added to the confusion. When the food finally came out, it was very staggered instead of arriving together. I ordered the Taos tenderloin with green beans and fries. The sides were actually great--probably the highlight of the meal--but the steak itself was disappointing. I ordered it medium, but it came out with an overly charred, almost burnt crust that completely overpowered the flavor. The whole dish really needed basic seasoning like salt and pepper to bring it together. The atmosphere also didn't do much to help the experience. It's extremely dark inside--so much so that it's hard to see your food--and the space feels cramped. The layout is also pretty strange and honestly a bit off-putting. There's what appears to be a kitchen area right behind the bar, and then a full kitchen in the back--but what really stood out was the lack of separation near the restroom area. There's no proper door between the kitchen and the bathroom space, and from a small step down off the dining area, you can basically see straight into the kitchen if you wanted to. It just didn't feel very private or well thought out. Another thing that stood out was the portion sizes. While some people might see that as a positive, they were honestly too large--especially for those of us traveling who couldn't take leftovers with us. Slightly smaller portions might not only reduce waste but also help the kitchen keep up with demand and improve overall service speed. Overall, this ended up being more of a one-time experience than a place we'd return to. Between the disorganized wait system, slow and inconsistent service, and underwhelming food, it just didn't live up to the expectations we had going in.

YES all the stars…read more The vibe alone once you walk it is exquisite. They offer indoor seating, bar seating, and outdoor seating. I believe the outdoor patio offers a lighter menu option compared to sitting inside. The staff holds exceptional standards. Not only were they friendly and helpful but they worked as a team. While I'm asking the waitress questions, another staff member comes up and takes the dirty plates from her hands so sly. Now onto the food....words don't do the pictures justice. Everything I ate was amazing. I would absolutely visit again, again, and again! I'm still thinking about the insane flavors each item brought. I would have not ordered the sushi cubes but our waitress said I would enjoy it based on our convo, she was CORRECT! The chicken sliders still keep me up at night dreaming of them. If I lived closer I would order from this place frequently. The drinks were strong and a perfect balance. I've heard you can't go wrong with anything on the menu and I can't wait to test that theory.

And as a sushi chef myself, I can honestly say I was impressed. Last night, Phebe was our server and she was incredibly sweet and attentive. She got everything perfect, checked on us often, and we never felt like we needed anything. This is definitely going to become one of our regular spots in Phoenix!

Okaaay, but why is Adobe Bar and Grill low-key my main character lunch spot!!…read more First of all, the wiiiiings.... chef''s kiss, no notes. Me and my coworker always split them and do different flavors but I stay loyal to my dry rub! lemon pepper all the way! Perfectly seasoned not greasy, which is how I like it. But don't get me started on the ranch!! If you're feeling a little more than just a snack, get the sliders too. It comes with 3, perfect for sharing and honestly just completes the whole vibe! by then I'm full, happy, and ready to clock on mentally! Drinks??? the prickly pear margarita is a good one! My coworker got a spicy marg. Can't remember the name but if you like a little kick, you'll love it, not too spicy. The views are stunning and the weather this time of the year is elite! Staff super friendly too (shout out Rick!) Parking can fill up and hard to find a spot near the restaurant, especially during lunch time! However there's plenty in the back and they offer complimentary valet, so yeah overall 10 out of 10. Will absolutely keep coming back for lunch!

Sunday bbq was barely edible. Sent 1 meal back and should have sent all 3 back. Not sure about regular menu. Our server was real bad as well. Again, blame the management of this place. Manager even said "yea, the bbq is hit or miss. Little Miss BBQ is great. Have you been there?" What a response. Thank you for removing the meal and a side. Also took 50min for food to arrive and they were not busy. I don't like leaving reviews like this so trusting this doesn't impact anyone negatively but brings awareness for positive change.
