Contracted them to wipe a laptop clean. One of our x-employees set a password for the laptop and did not give it to us when he was terminated. The day the technician arrived our receptionist gave him access to the laptop, when one of our clients asked what he was doing. It turns out that the x-employee had given access to the laptop to one of our clients. Not something he was supposed to have done. One of the reasons he got fired. The technician was still suppose to wipe it clean so we can start fresh with the new employee. This did not happen, but I did not find this out until a few days later. I called Phoenix Computer Repair Service and explained to them that the service was never performed. To make a long story short, they want me to pay again. Why should I pay again if the tech never performed the service I paid for. read more

Don't let the cute picture fool you. This is a schlocky outfit. It took way too long to "fix" my computer, the technician left the new hard drive hanging by one screw and they broke the display. The broken display will cost as much as I already paid to have the hard drive fixed - so I'm in DOUBLE. When I asked for reparations, they said "Tough luck, you signed a waiver." Booked an appointment for the next day afternoon between 3 and 6pm. I was able to correct the issue myself early the next morning. Called to cancel a technician at 8:01am exactly. Was told it was too late to cancel and was sent an invoice for $187.50 which included a travel charge. Within two weeks I received a letter from a collection agency for the money. This is apparently the only way they make money by scamming people and immediately selling the client to collections! BEWARE THIS COMPANY IS A HUGE RIP OFF!! read more

I noted the time the tech arrived and it took him about 30 minutes to help with our questions. He spent an addition hour looking at everything on our old computer and charged me 227.90 dollars for something that took 1/2 hour. I kept asking what he was doing and how much longer did he need to be here. The minimum is one hour for 125,09 plus 4 dollar gas fee. He stayed longer than necessary and charged us a lot. The tech was nice an knowledgeable but it's ridiculous that he stays so long. We did not have any issues with the computer itself. Just had. Some questions about moving pictures from a phone to computer . A rip off!! read more

Riley Vargas was our repair technician. He was great to work with and personable. I have no complaints about him. However, I originally had it scheduled for Saturday (my only day off) and they rescheduled it for Monday due to an emergency. Then they texted Monday morning and rescheduled for Tuesday. At this point I was getting irritated. I rescheduled for Tuesday. Then I got a phone call 5 minutes later advising someone just came available. My appointment was between 8-10. The tech was a little late, but during conversation, Riley stated this was his first day in the area. So, a little late is not the end of the world. Once here he was professional and knowledgeable. Thank you, Riley for getting our computer back on track. The inconvenience of the rescheduling is why I took a star off. read more

DO NOT use this company! HORRIBLE service and they charge you for it!! We had a technician diagnose an issue with our RAM and needed to schedule a second appointment. The second tech was not only a no-show but didn't bother to call or text. When we finally rescheduled, the tech began our hourly session by shutting himself up in our bathroom for 15 minutes(my husband finally had to knock on the door to make sure he was still alive!). When the tech did come out he proceeded to pry the screen from our Mac without heating it -as is the recommended procedure- and broke our screen. At this point, my husband told him to stop. He began making phone calls and texting which stretched the time to a total of 1 1/2 hours of which -he"worked" 15 minutes. When we reached out to the "Help desk" they, unsympathetically and unapologetically told us they would send someone else out. Of course, we didn't want that so they proceeded to charge us over $200 for -essentially breaking our screen, using our bathroom, and wasting our time! Adding insult to injury they threatened to take us to collections if we did not pay. The whole process from beginning to end was awful. I highly recommend not using this company. read more

I bought a new sound bar and for some reason my remotes weren't working correctly. Josh came in and fixed the problem in 10 minutes. I called with the specific request to upload documents to the cloud and clean out space from an Apple. I got a whopping 20GB of 256! Later I realized a majority was from deleting my Office 365 suite of products. I am unable to download it anymore. 2nd problem they tinkered with opened up the back and attributed it to a broken charger, I brought out a backup charger and was told I guess it's the computer port (which is what I had called in with) we can come back out (for another $125!) to put it in. Not the way Business is done, I went off reviews on yelp - was not impressed with services rendered or presentability of my technician. The tech blamed dispatchers and his google voice not working for lack of communication Very disappointed! read more

I had an appointment for 11 am. At 11:30 I had not heard from the rep. I called and the dispatcher said he was held up at a previous appointment. He would not be able to help me for another hour and a half. I thought this was very unprofessional and poor customer service so I cancelled my appointment and found another company to help me. read more

To summarize the facts: * When I called to schedule a technician to come out, I made it very clear that I use my laptop for video editing, and I described the issues I was having. I asked to be sure the technician assigned would be someone who has knowledge and experience with the type of issue I was having. The technician who showed up admitted that he wasn't an expert in this area. Several questions I asked him were met with an "I don't know" response. The visit ended with him not giving me any real answers as to why my laptop kept blue screening, or why my video was choppy. * When the technician was troubleshooting my laptop, I specifically asked him if my video card was malfunctioning. He said it was not. Subsequently the manufacturer determined that the video card WAS faulty, and replaced it under warranty. The computer has been working fine since. * The technician said he was going to keep it to an hour. He ended up being there for an hour and a half, including shooting the breeze. However I was billed for two hours. He definitely did not spend more than an hour of actual work time on the computer. In addition, the invoice contains an additional charge of $62.50 for an "Invoice Fee". This additional charge was not explained in advance, and was a complete surprise. It's also quite ridiculous. read more

DO NOT USE NOR TRUST KARLS TECHNOLOGY FOR COMPUTER REPAIR! If I can give Karls a minus rating I would. My desktop crashed and order a new desktop computer. Contacted Karls to transfer data from my crashed desktop but SSD information was unrecoverable. Karls "transferred" my Microsoft 365 Excel workbook, Word, and E-Mail. Most of my Excel Workbook files failed to transfer as was the case in Word, few, if any documents transferred. E-mail and Calendar is a complete mess, address directory did not transfer, nor did prior calendar dates transfer. To send mail or review my calendar I am forced to go between my laptop and desktop to read, send, or view calendar. A TOTAL DISASTER! I have called several times to speak to someone, anyone who is in charge and everytime I call I am told no one is currently in the office whom I can speak with to resolve my issues. If no one returns my calls I will be forced to file a claim in Small Claims Court to recover my 420.00 for work not completed. read more

I engaged this company because of the rating on Google. I called them and they were so kind and helpful on the phone. The tech arrived at 6:00 pm, it was the end of his 12 hour day. My hard drive had to be replaced. My computer did not cooperate with Chase at all and it became very frustrating. Chase was so vigilant and determined, and he fixed all my problems. He was kind, he was thoughtful, and it was a great experience for me. I would recommend this company to anybody and everybody. They were honest they followed through. Emailed this company to transfer data from an old computer to a new one I just bought. Someone from Karl's Technology answered promptly and asked for my phone number to discuss details. I provided my contact number and no one ever called. Several days later I emailed them again and...crickets. I suppose I could have called them, but since whoever responded to my first email said they would call me I decided to wait, thinking they might be busy and would call at their earliest convenience. Days passed. Nothing. Maybe I'm old and stubborn, but if a company can't follow up on something they said then I don't want to do business with them. Found another computer service company who responded immediately and set up a service date no problem. Maybe these guys from Phoenix Computer Repair Service (or Karl's Technology?) do good work, I'll never know and don't care to know at this point. read more

He offered new services and safeguards at a very reasonable price. Worst customer service ever. All I did is call this company and inquired about their services when I decided not to use them suddenly I got slapped with $150.00 cancellation fee. I was never told about it. I have been asking for proof of debt from this company but of course they're not gonna give me one because they don't have one. They cancelled the first appointment at the last minute after I waited 2 weeks for the appointment, we rescheduled and was told we had the first appointment that day.
